I am an unapologetic romance lover. I read it. I write it. Enough said. Well..I also have a warrior way "Never give up on my dreams." I spend a copious amount of time drooling over Rick Grimes from Walking Dead, watching Japanese anime and playing video games with my love, Dusean.
What the what?! I really liked the story, and it was a super quick read. Great chemistry; interesting plot; cute moments… but ZERO steam. Boo. -2 stars for that bc this author is known for steamy-to-erotic writing style, so I really feel that it should have been noted in the description that this was not her norm in that way.
.. The final installation of the Forever Yours series is A Prince of my Own written by Stacy Reid. It focuses on Lady Miranda Cheswick and Dr. Simon Astor who meet each other by chance when her family is involved in a carriage accident on a dark country road. With her mother injured and unable to continue traveling temporarily, life for Miranda changes consequentially.
AUTHOR'S DESCRIPTION
Lady Miranda Cheswick's is beautiful, witty, intelligent, and the family's great expectations are for her to marry a prince or a duke! A duty she intends to fulfill despite the craving in her heart to marry for love. An accident leaves her stranded at the country estate of the enigmatic and charming Dr. Astor, a man to whom she is inexplicably attracted.
Dr. Simon Astor has little expectation of making a grand society match. His sole focus should be on caring for his patients and raising funds for the hospital he hopes to build. However, the delectable and witty Miranda tempts him at every turn, he soon finds himself falling for her irresistible charm, and wants to marry her. Except Miranda's mother's devious plot will test Miranda and Simon's resolve. Is their love strong enough to triumph?
EXCERPT: "Her lips curved and his fingertips twitched with anticipation of what it would be like to touch her. To kiss her. To walk with her under the banner of stars, to properly court her. All those things she inspired in his heart and more. The lady must be unaware of the captivating picture she made with her smiles, or surely, she would dole them less frequently."
The dishonesty of mothers that entrapped their daughters into marriage with someone they have nothing in common with, have no feelings for, and are well aware they care for another person in this era of ignorance creates anger and rebellion in my emotional psyche. I fail to understand how dishonesty should be rewarded by some antiquated honor code. I applaud the women who had the strength and integrity to stand up and refuse to be part of the travesty, even if it apparently ruined their chances of a good match in the future. A good match doesn't guarantee any degree of happiness.
The idiocy of the Duke in this tale reflects that people just don't listen to each other or just don't think people are serious about their convictions. The Duke must have assumed his title and worth would change the heroine's mind about accepting his honor-bound proposal, even though she clearly reflected she would NOT marry him.
After I get all fired up about the injustice, the scandalous conclusion slides into a home without warning and the book just ends . . . the reader would have benefited greatly from an informative epilogue. But alas, you must use your own imagination after that insane whirlwind.
This book seems to stand on its own, as well as being relatively clean, with the exception of some passionately fervent kisses and some arbitrary sensual thoughts.

Lady Miranda Cheswick, daughter of the Earl of Langford, has been told by her ambitious mother, that with her beauty, Miranda deserved to marry a prince, or at least a duke. Miranda has already refused three proposals, and her mother is not pleased. She has a marquess lined up for Miranda, but Miranda will only marry for love. Then, under unexpected circumstances, Miranda meets Dr. Simon Astor. Soon, they both discover that they enjoy each other’s company very, very much. Miranda’s mother would never approve, and Simon has a secret…
A PRINCE OF MY OWN is such a gorgeous romance with a plot twist that almost made me drop my ereader! Miranda made a mistake once and she lost her best friend Pippa; this, added to meeting Simon, changed Miranda's outlook on matrimony. Although it’s a low-angst story, I had no idea how things would transpire. The romance was easy, Miranda and Simon are honest, and you can see that they truly care for each other; they are adorable. But that was counting without Miranda's mother! What a despicable, horrid woman! She is haughty, selfish, stubborn; she is truly horrible, and in such a realistic way, it is scary!
The story flows smoothly; the writing is light, elegant, and effortless. The dialogues are refined yet straightforward. But Stacy Reid threw me in for a loop towards the end! Oh my goodness! There was a rather distressing scene, and I literally laughed out loud at Miranda’s thoughts – I hope that was the author’s intention! – but afterwards, it was not funny at all! I thought Miranda and Simon would never get their happily-ever-after, because things looked so dire! What a splendid hero! It was all so nice and lovely and charming, and boom! I was shocked – and delighted because that plot twist was totally unexpected, and masterfully dealt with! What a fabulous ending! And all this excitement without a sex scene, but there is still plenty of chemistry between Miranda and Simon. Even though A PRINCE OF MY OWN is a novella, there is more substance than in many full-length novels – it takes a lot to surprise me so much! – and there are quite a few secondary characters; most appear very briefly, but made quite an impression on me. I hope Ms. Reid will write their stories.
Lady Miranda Cheswick's is beautiful, witty, intelligent, and the family's great expectations are for her to marry a prince or a duke in fact her mother has told her this every single day since she was twelve. A duty she intends to fulfill despite the craving in her heart to marry for love. A carriage accident, which injures her mother leaves them at the country estate of the charming Dr. Astor, a man to whom she is inexplicably attracted. Dr. Simon Astor has little expectation of making a grand society match. His sole focus should be on caring for his patients and raising funds for the hospital he hopes to build. However, the delectable and witty Miranda tempts him at every turn A lovely romance. We met Miranda in he best friend Pippa’s story where an event caused her to think deeply about what she wanted. I read this novella in a sitting, a well written well paced story. The characters have depth, I really liked Simon & came to like Miranda but I thoroughly disliked the Countess. The road to heir HEA isn’t smooth with a returned brother & a meddling mother but it was very entertaining & mage for an engrossing read My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
I would like to punch everyone in this book on the throat (okay not everyone but Miranda’s brother and mother along with Simon’s brother are high contenders on the list).
The countess was unbearable and honestly a broken ankle was too kind of a punishment for fate to deal her for all her sins. Henry (the brother) was disgusting, I meet more distinguished maggots that him. And William was an idiot of immense proportions.
Why would he ever marry if he knew he could never love again? Was he really that selfish to steal someone’s happy ending and their chance of being loved? Was he truly willing to follow through with the wedding of the woman his brother clearly cherished when he knew what losing someone beloved felt like? Oh yes indeed he was 💀.
His novella better make some damage control or else I don’t think I will be able to bear it.
At least Simon and Miranda got together in the end despite all the opposition against them (but there were no spicy itty bits which was alright I felt like they both would have been really vanilla… not that I hate vanilla but I’m a Neapolitan kind of girl ya know 😂😅)
3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Favorite quotes ( SPOILERS AHEAD):
“But there is something beautiful about sharing life experiences and joy with someone who could appreciate all of your eccentricities, is there not? Someone to laugh with, to rest your head upon their shoulder when you are tired. Frequently I would feel lonely at a ball, and I am astonished by that awareness. And it is because I feel I cannot express to my friends what is in my true heart. They might believe me to be a trifle odd for expressing any individuality, but I do believe if one should marry, it should be to someone whom you can be honest about with all your heart.” - - “She wasn't allowed to experience life the way she hungered to.” - - “I wish to marry a man I could love," she said softly. "I've been offered for by several gentlemen, but what they admired was my beauty and dowry, but never my intelligence or accomplishments, and most certainly no gentleman has ever truly tried to woo my heart. It seems like such an inconsequential desire—to be liked or even admired by the man I would marry. But when I dwell upon it, what should we talk about if he cannot tolerate me, or if he dislikes my opinions and the way I laugh?“

As the daughter of a powerful earl, Lady Miranda Cheswick's family has high expectations that she'll marry a duke or even a prince. She plans to live up to their expectations even though she dreams of marrying for love. She has been groomed by her manipulative mother to think much of herself and her own beauty, but now such shallowness sickens her and she wants a man who will truly see her. She just has to ensure he has enough rank to please her mother. An accident leaves her stranded along with her brother and mother, at the estate of the charming Dr. Simon Astor. Miranda is immediately attracted to Simon but knows he will not be accepted by her mother as a suitor. For his part Simon must focus on his hopes of building a hospital for the nearby village. Nevertheless, when Miranda and her family remain stranded at his estate for two weeks, he finds himself falling for her.
Of course, her mother won't settle for a third son, even if he is the son of a duke, and she forces Miranda into a compromising position with Simon's older brother, the duke. This devious scheme may not be able to survive the scandal.
Miranda's mother was just awful and I kept wanting Miranda to stand up to her more firmly and she frustrated me with her naivete, but Simon was adorable and oh so romantic.
I just loved this book! Lady Miranda has been schooled by her ambitious mother to marry a prince or a duke. However, Miranda wants to marry someone she loves and who will appreciate and love her for herself and not just for her beauty. Miranda is a kind hearted person and this is surprising in itself given her mother’s attitude. After an accident, they meet Dr. Simon Astor, they have an instant attraction to each other but Miranda knows her mother will not allow them to marry. I loved the way that Miranda and Simon found time to talk to each other. Things do not run smoothly, thanks to interference from relations, but I loved the declaration at the dinner. This was such a good read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I received a copy via Booksprout and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is such a wonderful quick read and I thought the story so charming and the main characters so loveable. We first met Lady Miranda Cheswick in "Misadventures With A Duke" and she was not very likeable so I love how the author has redeemed her in this story. As for her mother....omigosh, what a greedy and conniving woman, ugh!! I wish someone would have locked her in a room and forgotten her there! lol As for Dr. Simon Astor, what a delicious hero he makes!!
Both Miranda and Simon feel instant attraction to each other and Simon wants to court her but Miranda's mother has other plans for her and does her best to get her own way. I found the ending a bit abrupt and wish there would have been an epilogue to tie in the story but apart from that, this was truly a delightful read.

An engaging regency romance, not as steamy as I expected but Simon and Miranda are wonderful characters and this developed into a worthy romantic happily ever after.
A Prince of My Own, Book 6 of the Forever Yours series, was about Lady Miranda Cheswick, daughter of the Earl of Langford, and Dr. Simon Astor, also known as Lord Simon Astor, the third son of a duke." Drilled into her from a very young age that she would marry either a prince or a duke, Miranda was taught all of her mother's sneaky ways in which to trap a nobleman into marriage. Having failed at it three times, including the Duke of Carlyle who had instead married her best friend, Pippa, Miranda longed to retire to the country and forget all about her mother's machinations. To say that Miranda's mother was a b*tch would be putting it mildly. She definitely looked down on everyone, no matter their rank in life. To say that she raised her daughter to be a vain, egotistical, brat would be an understatement. While she wanted to be loved for herself and not her beauty, she wasn't averse to using said beauty to get her way. Knowing how she treated her best friend, Pippa, and now Pippa's husband, the Duke of Carlyle, in a previous book, did not endear Miranda as a Heroine. Even the "the shadows of sadness" that Simon saw in her was not enough to make up for the character's self-centeredness. However, she did redeem herself...in the long run. I will say again, Miranda's mother was a total b*tch. While Miranda finally "woke" from her self-centeredness and found the love she desired, her mother sought only to destroy that love by compromising her in any way she could. While understanding it was the way of some mothers in the 1800s, it is something I am grateful for is not the same today. The woman needed someone to drag her out in the street and pummel her something fierce. There was so much angst and drama in this book, as well as deceit, conniving, manipulation, heartbreak, and determination to see things done right While the storyline was well-written, it was one that I struggle with when it comes to romantic relationships. The characters were well-developed and fleshed out, mature and full of integrity...eventually. Simon had a strength about him that was to be admired for the third son of a Duke. He chose his profession from an early age, which was accepted by his family in due time, and he never looked back. Miranda, though she started off with a haughty attitude that had gotten severely shaken in a previous book, eventually discovered she had a backbone and stood up to her horrible mother. The book deserved a five-star rating, however...it ended much too abruptly for my taste. While it had a HEA, I would have liked to see a bit more to that. Still, it does earn a place with the other Keeper for the Shelves collection.
Her mother has told Lady Miranda from nearly the second she popped out of the womb that she was destined to marry a prince or a duke. Her mother has even tried to place her in compromising positions to force a marriage between her daughter and the upper echelons of aristocracy. On a trip to a house party where Miranda will meet her mother’s next quarry, the family gets into an accident. The mother sprains her ankle severely. Dr. Simon Astor is at close at hand, and after examination, he declares that she cannot move for at least a week or two and offers them rooms in his home. Simon is the third son of a duke (unknown to Lady Miranda and her family for a while) who, while he is a physician, has a good allowance and has been able to buy a lovely estate which he has partially turned into a hospital.
Simon is a dedicated physician and an all-around decent man. He enjoys spending time with Miranda, and she soon begins helping him with his patients. This isn't always easy for her as she is a gently bred young woman, so Simon sees and appreciates her strength and compassion. Considering that the book is relatively short, their progression from friendly acquaintances to love is believable, natural, and quite sweet to read.
Lady Miranda’s mother, on the other hand, is a real piece of work. Before the carriage accident in an early discussion between her and Lady Miranda, the mother comes across as over-the-top and melodramatic in her desire to see her daughter wed to a man of the highest station. In fact, it was so over the top that I almost quit reading because it was just crazy. But I had read good reviews of this book, and I was curious to see the relationship between the principals, so I kept going. Lady Miranda's mother doesn't care for her daughter's happiness whatsoever; marrying the highest title is the only thing that does. Her mother sets in motion something drastic to get her fondest wish realized, and when it happens, it is ghastly and heartbreaking.
The only other fault that I see in this book is that it ended too soon. The ending is one of the most abrupt I've seen in a romance. Things are barely resolved when—BOOM!—the book ended. I would have liked to have seen a little more about what happened afterward, both in the main line of the story and in an extended dialogue. The hero and heroine are excellent characters who deserve each other; they also deserve for their story to be more fully told.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
A Prince of My Own is the sixth novella in the Forever Yours bundle series. This is a quick read historical romance that is well-paced and predictable.
Usually there are two forces at work in a story, and as a reader I prefer the good elements to crescendo higher than the contaminated elements. For example, I want to read passionate scenes that are stronger than the ugly scenes. The passionate scenes were not strong enough to outshine the ugly scenes in this story, imo. My recollection of the story recalls the ugly before the passion, and that’s the problem.
The Marquess and I: 5 stars The Duke and I: 3 stars The Viscount and I: 3+ stars Misadventures with the Duke: 3 stars When the Earl was Wicked: 5 stars A Prince of My Own: 3- stars
Basically, the main drama in this story stems from the meddling machinations of a controlling mother who berates her long-suffering daughter incessantly to trap a duke. Ultimately, the daughter is tricked quite cunningly by her mother, so the reader feels mostly yucky vibes which override the fledgling romantic vibes, and when it’s all said and done, the journey to love feels like it got trampled. Nothing wrong with that tack, but the story is strongly driven by the pure ideals of a marriage-meddling mama for this era. Strongly driven.
Lady Miranda Chiswick is beautiful and her family’s great expectations are for her to marry a prince, or at least a duke. Miranda’s deepest wish though is to marry for love. Her compliance to her mother’s moods/behaviours and her sullenness after the compromising incident, put me off her.
Doctor Simon Astor has little expectation of making a grand society match. He is the third son of a duke, and his sole focus is on caring for his patients and raising funds for the hospital he hopes to build. He has a tough part to play being on-call for his work while being available for a romantic relationship, however he did make a stand against the machinations and fight for love in the very end.
There was a sweet connection that developed between Simon and Miranda. Unfortunately it wasn’t as clear or loud as her mother’s contrariness so I felt that their romance was underplayed. The ugliness of her mother’s drama overrode their sweet romance throughout the story which spoiled it for me.
I recommend this book for an average read. I recommend this series.
This is an OK Regency romance, but the ending was just too abrupt. It really needed to include Simon and Miranda's wedding and an epilogue to show they were still happy later. Because of that, it gets 3 stars from me.
I have to say that I didn't think I would like Miranda, after what she did to Pippa and Christopher in their book, but the author did do a good job of redeeming her character.
I liked Simon and Miranda together, and thought they made a good couple. But I absolutely could not stand Miranda's mother, who was just awful. No spoilers here, but what she did to Miranda was just unforgivable. It also angered me that Miranda's father let her mother get away with it.
Realistically, most women of that time period would have just bowed to their family's wishes, and married the man chosen for them. I get that this is a romance, and I liked that Miranda didn't do that, but it still wasn't very realistic. I would have liked the story a lot more if the end had included their wedding and an epilogue. That would have made their romance more believable.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
I was really enjoying the novel until the most improbable ending. I know one has to suspend belief - as historical romances never truly reflect the society in which they are set. However, the plot ending where Miranda and Simon just walked out of the room and ignored the others - just wouldn’t have happened and if it had the scandal would have been long lasting and enormous.
Miranda had been manoeuvred into a betrothal, to a Duke, by her obnoxious and social climbing mother. The betrothal was announced in the papers, and so it is in the public domain. However, Miranda just breaks the betrothal (to a Duke!!!) and walks off with The Duke’s brother. Her social climbing family would not have allowed it - Miranda would have been forced against her will, if necessary, to marry The Duke. If she didn’t there would have been severe ramifications - Miranda would not have received her dowry from her family and Simon would have received nothing from The Duke (i.e. the ducal estates) - so what would they have lived on? He is a doctor who only treated the poor - so the money wouldn’t be rolling in there. Would they go abroad to escape the scandal?
The plot should have excluded the public announcement in the papers, and then everything could have been resolved nicely. The Duke would have ensured that everything remained secret - as, apart from Royalty, Dukes were at the pinnacle of Society - very powerful peers who could ruin another person both financially and socially. Therefore, anyone in ‘the know’ would not have broadcast the occurrence.
I hope Stacy does a re-edit and decides that a betrothal notice is not sent to the papers and thus making her plot ending much more believable.

This is an interesting and well written book that features true love between the main characters, and unwanted parental meddling.
A lovely story of two beautiful souls meeting under undesirable conditions. When Lady Miranda's family coach has an accident Dr. Simon Astor and his staff come to their rescue. Apparently two coaches collided and there were casualties in both carriages. Unfortunately for Miranda's manipulating and conniving mother her ankle was severely sprained and she had to be laid up for at least two weeks. During this time Simon and Miranda's friendship blossomed and they shared their deepest thoughts and hopes. Eventually they fell in love. But Miranda's title grubbing mother would not have her daughter settle for anyone less than a prince or a duke. Unbeknownst to Miranda's family Simon is the third son of a duke. When Simon asks Miranda permission to court her, she says yes. He is to go to her father for permission. Unfortunately, all their hopes and dreams come crashing down on them when Miranda's mother puts her and Simon's brother the Duke in a compromising position. What can Miranda do? Does she have it in her to put a stop to her mother's machinations? Will Simon let her marry his brother? Will he fight for her against his brother and her family? A wonderful short story filled with everything you want and expect from a romance. An excellent read and I do recommend it.
It has to be really difficult when your first memories of your mother telling you of your beauty and that you would one day marry a prince. Not find your prince but marry one regardless. Lady Miranda's mother was almost a harridan when it came to her come out and looking for the perfect man for her. End the end it had cost her a relationship with her best friend. Bur Miranda was determined to marry for love, no matter what her obsessed (ok my words, not hers) pushed at her or tried to put her in compromising positions to obtain the had of a duke. When Miranda meets Dr. Simon Astor, there seems to be almost an instant attraction. But of course he is a simple country doctor and not good enough, per her mother. Simon sees much more in her than just her beauty. So how can they come together? It is not a smooth road to their happy ever after, but filled with a few twists and turns. Will they ever get together or will her mother make sure she does not devote herself to Simon? Another Stacy Reid amazing story. She always pulls me in from the beginning. These are really two people fated for each other and I truly loved them both! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Miranda has been told since she was twelve years old that she would marry a prince and if not a prince a Duke would do and since that her mother has done everything to make that a reality even going so far as to try to make her seduce a Duke that loved her friend Pippa. One day they are headed to a weekend party and their was an accident and Miranda's mother severely sprained her ankle so they are forced to stay until she heals and in this time Miranda and the good doctor Simon take long walks together, read together and ride horses together and they start to fall in love when his brother William returns to town only for .Miranda's mother to get her maid to lock her in the Duke's bedchamber with him so she can compromise her reputation and forcing to ask for her hand in marriage. Miranda is mortified and Simon is beside himself with grief until he receives a letter from his mother to come to a party to celebrate the wedding and that is where he fights for Miranda and wins and scandal or no scandal they will be happy and wed each other. What a beautiful story.

Dr. Simon Astor is a country & never has wanted to treat the gentry of London's society. He knows, even as a 3rd son of a Duke, he will not find a society match for his wife. He will keep his focus on treating his patients & raising money to build a hospital nearby.
Lady Miranda Cheswick's is, above all else, beautiful - her Mother has always had great expectations that Miranda would marry a prince or at least, a duke. Miranda has no choice, other than to fulfill duty, even though her heart yearns to marry for love.
A carriage accident brings Miranda & Simon together near his estate & this is where the fun begins between them. Can people from two totally different plans for their lives meet in the middle, can the experience true love, will her family keep them apart? I highly recommend this book & the whole series for great stories & loving characters - thank you Stacy Reid for the great entertainment!
Dr. Simon Astor has little expectation of making a grand society match. His sole focus should be on caring for his patients and raising funds for the hospital he hopes to build.
Lady Miranda Cheswick, the belle of any ball was not just a pretty face. Beautiful to look at she was also intelligent, seemingly great company and was. groomed from an early age to snag herself a husband who was not only rich but tilted as well. Faced with endless suitors, forced upon her by her mother she soon got bored with it all and endeavoured to find a love of her. One who would love her for who she was deep down and not just how she looked.
When she crosses paths with Dr Simon Astor the attraction is mutual but him being a lowly doctor would not do, at least not in her troublesome relations' eyes. Will she go against everything she's been taught to, find a love of her own even if it's with the rugged doctor?
I simply loved this book. It didn't have as much heat as I would have liked in my Regency romances but the writing was so good and the story so engaging that I really didn't mind.

Lady Miranda Cheswick’s family expect her to make the match of the season to either a prince or a duke, nothing less will do for this beautiful, witty, intelligent and beautiful young woman. After all Miranda is the daughter of an Earl who’s tired of her mother’s attempts to trap a man of her choosing into a compromising position to secure the husband she wants for her daughter. Miranda simply wants to love and be loved in return. She meets Dr. Simon Astor a simple country doctor and is immediately attracted to him. Simon’s sole focus has been his practice that is until he see the caring compassionate young Miranda, he knows he’s not high enough up the social ladder for her family, but that doesn’t stop him from loving her. Can they or will they throw caution to the winds and grab a lifetime of love and happiness. I loved this enchanting love story of two sweet souls who are fated to meet and find their HEA!!! I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

Lady Miranda Cheswick was a great beauty and her mother informed her that one day she would marry a prince are most certainly a Duke. The only problem was Lady Miranda was almost 22 years old was not yet married. Her best friend had married the Duke that she was supposed to marry. But her best friend and the Duke loved each other so she was happy for them. Her mother did whatever she could do to try to get Miranda married to a Duke at least. They were on their way to a house party where there was a Marquis that her mother had decided that Miranda could marry when they had an accident and her mother had badly injured her ankle and could not walk on it so they went to the doctors house where he put them up until Miranda's mother could walk on her ankle. Miranda found her friends but her mother would never agree to the marriage so you have to read the book to discover what happens to Miranda and her prints. It's a fairly quick read and it's a good book...
Dr. Simon Astor is a caring, compassionate man, striving to help others. He lives in a mere 60 room manor and takes in a viscount, his countess mother and Lady Miranda after a bad carriage accident for a week.
Lady Miranda is a great beauty, told from birth she was so pretty, only a prince or duke would do. A sentiment she was wholeheartedly on board with and even tried to compromise another duke. Since that shameful act (and almost losing her friend over it) she’s had a change of heart.
Simon is not a prince or a duke, but his brother is a duke and Miranda’s mother conspires to compromise the duke and Miranda. Will her plotting work? Recommend because Simon truly is a prince.

Lady Miranda Cheswick's is beautiful, witty, intelligent, and the family's great expectations are for her to marry a prince or a duke! A duty she intends to fulfill despite the craving in her heart to marry for love.
Dr. Simon Astor has little expectation of making a grand society match. His sole focus should be on caring for his patients and raising funds for the hospital he hopes to build.
Will this unlikely pair be able to get past Miranda's family's expectations of her or will this be the end to their relationship? This is a well written novella. I breezed through this book. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. This book gets 4.5 of 5.0 stars for plot, story line and characterization. I look forward to reading more of this series by Stacy Reid.

This is the 6th book in the Forever Yours series but it can be read as a standalone book. It is a well written book and very enjoyable to read. Miranda was in a previous book and she was not a likeable character in it, so I was wondering how the author would write Miranda’s story. I adored her character in this book. She wanted to marry for love and was being pushed to make a Prince or Duke by her family. Simon was a doctor and was devoted to his patients. He can see and appreciate the real Miranda and not just her beauty. It was such a clever book and I’m so glad that in the end Miranda was strong enough to go against her family. Now we are left wondering if there will be a happy ending for William, the Duke of Wycliffe.
