A face from the past. A knife in the back from the present.
They've tried to kill Danny Pearson before. This time, it's his own side pulling the trigger.
Undercover mission. Stolen military weapons. Easy job—until Danny recognizes the team Commander Rex Benton, a former friend who should be on the same side.
But nobody's on Danny's side anymore.
When a desperate government agency faces budget cuts and extinction, they make Danny the fall guy. His cover's blown. His handlers have vanished. And now he's got ex-special forces soldiers—men as lethal as he is—hunting him through the streets of London.
Trust no one. Survive everyone.
Danny's got one fight his way to the truth and leave a trail of bodies behind. Because the only way out is through, and Danny Pearson doesn't go down easy.
Stephen Taylor is a successful British Thriller writer. His Amazon bestselling Danny Pearson series has sold well over 250,000 copies, and delighted lovers of the action and adventure thriller genre. Before becoming a novelist, he ran his own business, installing audio visual equipment for homes and businesses.
With the big 50 approaching, Stephen wrote the book he’d always wanted to. That book was Execution Of Faith. A supercharged, action packed roller coaster of a ride that doesn’t take itself too seriously. People loved the book so much he wrote a prequel Vodka Over London Ice. Because of the timeline, this became the first in the Danny Pearson Thriller Series.
Born out of his love of action thriller books, Lee Child's Jack Reacher, Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp and Tom Wood's Victor. Not to mention his love of action movies, Die Hard, Daniel Craig’s Bond and Guy Richie’s Lock Stock or Snatch. The Danny Pearson series moves along with hard and fast action, no filler, and a healthy dose of humour to move it along.
After I read the first installment in this series, I said that Pearson reminded me of a British version of Lee Child's Jack Reacher. After the last two volumes (and the short stories), I think there is a bit of Ian Fleming's James Bond mixed in. Danny just likes beer instead of martinis. Enjoyable reading. I enjoy the length of the books as well. They aren't so long as to be intimidating, but they are long enough to develop a good plotline. I still think that the author could use some editing help. I know it is trivial, but there were a number of grammar errors, spelling errors, etc. They don't detract from the story, but they bug the OCD in me.
Danny wants a rest but it won’t happen for a while, he is on another mission, requested by Howard. This one is a hard one, he has to go undercover. Who to trust becomes more difficult, except for his long time friend Scott, Edward his boss at MI6, Paul at the security firm he works with and Tom another agent who he has worked alongside and has a close comrade bond, all can be relied on. The best book yet, full of unbelievable action.
A good fast moving thriller involving corrupt government minister trying to secure his departments survival in government reshuffle involving hired gunmen and blackmail of officials. Murder and events involve retired SAS Danny Pearson who goes undercover to discover the truth and events move fast keeping Pearson on his toes.
Once again Stephen Taylor has done a cracking job of putting together a great plot with quite a few regular characters and quite a few passing characters……as in dying 🤣🤣🤣 …. Plenty of action and a thoroughly enjoyable read…..now for no5
I’m so pleased I came across Stephen Taylor as this Danny Pearson series is gripping, full of action ( but with a storyline) and well written. I can’t wait to start on book 5 now.
Action packed that makes want to keep reading. Being American, I don't always catch some of the English slang, but do enjoy the characters and the stories. Just finished book 4 and on to 5. Thank you for an entertaining read.
