The remnants of humanity and newly awakened sentient androids of Novae Terrae have come to an uneasy truce. Robotics scientist Harley Harris has sorted out his relationship issues, leaving behind an angry former partner.

Billy DeCarlo is an American author of novels and short stories. He grew up camped out at the corner newsstand, reading as many comic books as he could before the owner would throw him out. He writes out of love and in hope to change the world, or at least a few minds. He still believes there are superheroes, and sees evidence of them sometimes on the news. And villains, lots of villains.

A really great, uplifting scifi series! Awesome ending to the trilogy. Food for thought about our current behavior as a species and where it could lead.

Summary: The struggle isn’t over yet. There is an uneasy peace with the androids as they and the humans work to find a way to co-exist on a world far away from Earth. Now their suns are showing increased activity that is sending EMP waves towards them causing havoc with all their electronics. Harley’s son Isaac with his help is starting up a soccer team with him as the coach. He may have problems playing soccer, but his ability to figure out strategies will help them learn. Now the Androids leader Betsy, Harley’s old assistant, is determined to gain their freedom using any means possible even if that means using Isaac to get what they want. Harley is technically retired, but when he sees how the latest EMP disoriented the android soccer player it gives him an idea on how he could use that weakness against them. Now Harley may be a genius, but he may need his his wife Susan and Isaac’s help in what is to come.
It was wonderful how Isaac, who was considered damaged because of his disability, was in the end the one who saved them all. His ability to see things in a different light allowed him to help Harley and Susan create the technology they needed to survive. I loved his courage and strength to save not only the humans, but the androids he love too. This was a wonderful sci-fi series.
