This is laughably bad. The writing is pretty terrible and needed an editor and a thesaurus. I never want to hear the word enigmatic again. The story is bland and flat, but the real tragedy is the narration. If I found out it's an AI, I wouldn't be surprised at all. Some words were pronounced differently from instance to instance, a weird accent comes and goes, and I feel like some of the text had typos and they were read aloud that way as well. Just altogether a mess. Truly a mystery how this got made, but joke's on us because clearly people are paying for it. Luckily I was able to listen for free, and it thankfully it's only a 75 minute listen.
Ok I’m gonna be very real here. I think this author used ai to write this story. I can’t find a single social media for this author, and the words irrevocable and enigmatic are repeated so often that it’s the only conclusion I can come to. Read it because I got it free and I’m going to read the second one quickly to try and figure out if it is ai. I’m too curious for my own good.
Agree with erika, I feel like this was AI written. It was very choppy, very repetitive. Uses the same word to describe the guy 25 times throughout the book and it’s only an hour long listen. There are at least two places where they use the same exact paragraph in different chapters.
Nothing happens in this book at all. Thankfully it's only about an hour long and the narrator is so bland and lifeless. Not to mention there is like no emotion In this book. And a lot of talk about the main leads tragic backstory but we get none of that.
This book isn't horrible like some of the other reviewers said. it's got a lot of cheesy tropes and sure there are a few repeated phrases. However, I'm taking into account this author might have self published or edited the book herself, so I'm giving it grace. It's a short cheesy book in France that was decent!
