When times get tough, how bad does a good girl have to get?

Sienna Blakely is bright, articulate, and woefully underemployed. In order to get by, she’s forced to rely on the one asset she vowed never to use - her looks. With bills piling up, Sienna signs a contract with Luxxor Escort Services. A contract that strictly forbids any sexual contact with clients...

And then, she’s assigned to escort Jason Sloan.

Just meeting the hockey player-turned-business shark causes a full-body jolt. Arrogant, powerful, and sexy, he’s trouble. He can see beyond the façade she’s erected, right down to the intelligent and sensual woman underneath. He challenges her wits, and he challenges the rules.

When he gets Luxxor to upgrade her to an exclusive and more lenient contract, just how far will Sienna go to pay her rent - and to explore her deepest, most intimate desires?

When taking the Myers-Briggs personality test in high school, Kimberly was rated as an INFJ (Introverted-Intuitive-Feeling-Judging). This result sent her into a panic, because there were no career paths recommended for the type. Fortunately, it turned out to be well-suited to a writing career. Since receiving that dismal outlook, Kimberly has become an award-winning author of romance and erotica. She has written for seven publishing houses, both domestic and international, and has recently focused her efforts on the exciting world of self-publishing. When not writing, she enjoys movies, sports, traveling, music, and sunshine. In her mind, a beach, some rock 'n' roll, and a good book make for a perfect day.

Jason that boy is bossy with a capital B, "like hell you will." He closed the distance between them. "You will escort me." Jason just doesn't care what the topic of conversation is that boy is aiming to win every argument:
"I'll cover your birth-control costs. I saw the pills in your purse."
"And if it fails?" Nina asked quietly. "What if a pregnancy results?"
Sienna couldn't look away, and the storm in Jason's eyes turned ferocious. "I'll be there for my babies."
Can you say awkward, I would have been mortified to have our sex life or terms of sex life discussed with another person in the room, poor Sienna, but as I said Jason plays to win. When things are good between Sienna and Jason they are actually great, "yup. So why don't you just stay here today? We can be lazy, order some take-out and screw like monkeys." Jason may be a tough as nails kind of man but where is woman is concerned he is all bark and no bite, "Princess, I've been whipped since you started sassing me in French." I enjoyed this book I loved Jason.

Awful

I didn’t like any of the main characters. Jason was an ass, Sienna was a sophisticated prostitute no matter how nice the author tried to make it. Even you sign a contract for sex and get paid for it that my friends is a prostitute. Nina was a her pimp, and Sienna’s parents were full of crap. I won’t be reading any more books in this series. Others may live those kinds of stories but there not for me.

The heroine was spineless and all she did was try to please people, let them walk all over her, and apologize for absolutely no reason.
Towards the ending she decided to let go and do what makes her happy, but I wish we got to see more of that. I wish we got to see more of her and Jason like that.

P.s
There is a scene with the H and OW after he meets the h. When it’s brought up again later, he says he dropped the OW as soon as he saw the h, but that was a lie. He screwed her first...while thinking about the h.

Holy smokes Batman this book was HOT!!!

This is the first book I have read by Kimberly Dean and I am glad that I read it. This may be Erotica romance but Kimberly did not hesitate to give the readers the whole package. This book is fun, sexy and Hot Hot Hot! If you want a book that is at a great price, about a dominating man, and a sophisticated woman who start their relationship in a troublesome way but end it with nights filled with passion and romance then this is the book for you!

I received this book as an ARC from Netgalley for my honest review and I definitely recommend this Author and this book!

Sienna is down and out on her luck she is working hard to prove to herself and her family that she can make it on her own. So even though Sienna has attended many charity balls as a guest; she now finds herself as a waitress at an even and instead of enjoying the great meal she is passing it out. Luckily or unluckily (depends on how you look at it) she catches the eye of one of the sexiest guests of the night Jason Sloan and Nina owner of Luxxor Escort Services sees it all go down. Nina ignites the flame and before Sienna and Jason knows what hits them they are a fire ball out of control!

Sienna definitely goes out of the frying pan and into the fire in this book. But with Jason at her side I don't blame her, I think I would have enjoyed the sizzle as well!

I was hoping this book wasn’t going to follow the typical path of an escort themed plot, but it did. Though, I will say there was a twist at the end I didn’t see coming.
A good girl some how lets herself become a paid escort and than falls in love with the client. Sienna battles with herself because she is falling in love with a man that pays her for sex. No battle needed, anyway you look at it, she was a high-class call girl with a Madam.
Jason Sloan is a former hockey star, arrogant, over-sexed, and uses women. Sure he was friendly to the kids and nice to Sienna’s girlfriend. That Jason I liked.
Somethings just didn’t make sense— first if all, Sienna cut herself at work, which means her hospital bill would have been covered under Worker’s Comp. So she didn’t need to become an escort to pay her medical bill. Second, I can understand a busy man needing a paid escort to attend social functions, but there was no reason a man like Jason Sloan needed to pay for sex. Plus, how the contract was upgraded turned me off to this book. It was degrading and handled poorly. I could not believe Sienna didn’t threw that darn contract at them. Over-all, this wasn’t the book for me.

Shadow's review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

This book was both hot and interesting. Sienna Blakely is a bright, lovely woman, but due to unexpected medical expenses, she has fallen on hard times. She is unable to find a job in her field of expertise, and finally, in spite of her upbringing that leads her to follow society's rules, she agrees to become an escort for Luxxor Escort Service.

She quickly becomes the sole escort for Jason Sloan, and as the attraction between them grows, she signs a contract to allow sexual contact between them. But as she falls in love with Jason, she chafes under the fact that their relationship is based on a contract. Can she and Jason develop a real relationship?

The sex is steamy, the emotional connection between the main characters is compelling and the main characters are all likable. Expect some light BDSM, but mainly you have a strong heroine, a yummy hero and a well written story.

Review
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, from the moment that I read the blurb on the back of the cover all the way to the last word in the epilogue. It was beautifully written. So many authours are trying their hand at writing good girls going bad by becoming an escort, but if you ask me, I think that Kimberly Dean has the right blend of sugar and spice, soft and hard, sweet and angsty as well as just a dab of fun and drama thrown in for effect. Honestly, it is the perfect recipe for a book in this genre. Sexy and sofisticated meets hard and rough around the edges, no matter your tastes I've no doubt you'll find something you like in this book!

Courting Trouble
The Courting Series, Book 1
By: Kimberly Dean
Narrated by: Chloe Ryan

I enjoyed this book immensely, the story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it straight to the end. Kimberly Dean is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style, I am loving the characters, their storylines and world she is creating centered around Luxxor, an exclusive high-end escort service with Nina Lockwood at the helm running things. This book is Sienna Blakely and Jason Sloan’s story, Sienna comes from money but after graduating college she is left on her own to make it in the world. She is waitressing while looking for a job in communications, after working a charity event she was approached by Nina with a prospective job. Nina reads people and knows what she is looking for when it comes to her company. Jason Sloan, the former hockey player and successful businessman, was at the same event and he too was intrigued by Sienna, even sought her out after only to find she left her job. Sienna was struggling to make ends meet so after meeting Nina and thinking over her job offer she jumped on it. Jason has used Luxxor’s services in the past and was not happy to find she was working there. But he requested her, Jason met his match in Sienna who not pleased his arrogant Alpha-tude and spoke her mind. The chemistry between these two was electric, I thought they were great together and for each other. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is well plotted and there is plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt and emotional moments, some hot sexy times and a wonderful romance. Kimberly Dean, thank you for this entertaining and enjoyable story. I am looking forward to the rest of this amazing series!

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Chloe Ryan is a talented narrator and a versatile voice artist. She brings the characters to life, giving each their own distinct voice making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. She does a great job portraying the characters, grasping each persona and playing the role with perfection and sounding just as I am picturing them to sound. She set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen.

This was my first Kimberly Dean’s book and won’t be my last. This is the first book in the Courting Series. Sienna and Jason’s story is well written, original, and captivating. Their chemistry is off the charts, and they are perfect together. I loved to follow them in their journey to love. The supporting characters are interesting and intriguing. Chloe Ryan did a nice job with the narration. She has a beautiful voice. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to Courting Innocence, Erin and Colton's story, the next book in the Series. This was an okay book up to the point that it really really wasn’t. Didn’t much like either of the characters; they had sexual chemistry but nothing else. But I really objected to the fact that Jason, when unable to seduce Sienna into having sex with him, then maneuvers it so Sienna has no way of making money to support herself other than to become his prostitute. The way the contract was negotiated was a hard no for me and had me putting down book.

The first couple of chapters were a bit difficult for me to get into but after that I found it really enjoyable.
The emotions felt realistic and no major miscommunication issues that other books tend to exaggerate
