Author jumps all over with his "advice" to dieters. The language used sounds like it was written in another language and translated. Sentences like "women should not savor fruit" and "men should not drink beer, there are other alcohols to get high on" lead me to think this author is just writing off the top of his head. No suggestions on what to eat. Don't bother to read this book.
This is a most useful introduction to the Ketogenic Diet. This is the lifestyle where you cut out the carbs from your diet - almost entirely - and force your body to burn fat instead of carbs/sugar.
By removing the carbs from your system, your body will automatically burn your body fat as fuel. You can even eat a high proportion of fats (GOOD fats!) in your day to day life and still lose weight. An important note is that it is NOT recommended for anyone with Type 1 Diabetes. But those who are simply a bit overweight, or Type 2 Diabetic (please consult your doctor), may benefit from this style of diet.
I tried this diet for a short while back in 2019 and I lost 6KG (≈13lb 4oz) in about 5 weeks. You HAVE to be strict with yourself for it to work, and I am attempting now to go back on Keto to lose some KG that have crept back!

Good tips, but one like eating things like shellfish containing iodine, is misleading. While author states his book is not medical advice, he should have reminded the reader to check with doctor on this, like he did elsewhere in the book. EMT drivers are trained to ask a patient if they are allergic to shellfish due to meds that could be administered. I have cancer. I know I need to check with my physician, but still. This was not brought up at all, though there are many forms.

Do not waste your time reading this it may be short but it has absolutely no information that you don't already know from talking to anyone who's doing this diet. Is no helpful information and it doesn't explain anything more than what you already know even if that's nothing.
Nothing to help me start on keto. Didn't help any more then spending 5 minutes googling ever did. I'm still just as lost on where to start as I was before reading this.
Ketogenic Do's and Dont's explains the working of ketosis and how the diet works on your metoblism. I found it an interesting foundation to begin the diet with. Mathew Noll seem to have good grasp of the process.
This book was a short read. I really did not know much about the keto diet ,I've heard bits and pieces so this book was informative for me. I know more now then I did before reading the book.
The language is very stilted. Obviously an ESL person which made it distracting and hard to follow at times. Obviously an intelligent person, just hard to follow
