A grief-stricken vampire searching for a beacon of light in his dark and empty existence.
On the run and plagued by the ghosts of someone else’s past, Cora finds herself stranded in the small town of Ashland, Oregon. She’s alone, scared, and on borrowed time when a mysterious man shows up out of nowhere, offering to help her when she needs it most. And for the first time in her life, Cora is tempted to make a connection that goes beyond skin deep.
After 300 years, Havok is once again embraced by the clan he’s always considered to be his true family. But he is a shell of himself, a lost soul. Havok is an angry, vengeful creature on a self-appointed mission that has only one possible outcome. At least that’s what he thought, until he finds the only light to ever pierce his darkness, hiding in plain sight.
When their worlds collide, Cora and Havok find themselves drawn to each other in a way that can only be described as magnetic, but a shared ghost from their pasts is determined to keep them apart. Will their connection be enough to expel what haunts them and pierce Havok’s darkness for good, or will it consume them both?
From loose-cannon vampires and smoking hot rockstars, to vengeful alphas and mysterious monsters, A. K. Graves makes it a goal to bring you the kind of love you want to ki... well, you'll have to find her tagline on her socials to get the rest of that because it's too much for this bio. A. K. is what happens when grumpy/sunshine is crammed into one human; you get a feral hermit who likes reading, surrealism, masked musicians, true crime, and maybe five people. She hails from Michigan, has been married to Mr. Graves for over fifteen years, and is mama to three beautiful, intelligent, creative Graves girls who make her proud every day. A. K. loves writing, it keeps her less grumpy and as sunshine as she can be, and as long as she can keep coming up with ways to combine her love of romance with the dark and morbid, she’ll be happy doing it forever. I loved how this story weaved through both the past and the present. You got to learn so much more about these characters and fall deeper in love with all of them. It was a fantastic read.
This is my second book by A.K. Graves, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!! It's longer than the books I usually read, but it's so good. You're sucked in from the very beginning to the end. The characters are great as well as the story line. I felt like I was personally invested in Cora and Havok's love story. It's not required, but would be helpful if you read the first book in the series to get some background on the characters. The secondary characters are just as important to the story as the primary ones. If you're into paranormal, romance, fated mates, this book has so much of it and some suspense thrown in. You won't be disappointed
A fated mates story that spans centuries and burns brighter than the sun. The love and chemistry between Havok and Cora was epic. And the spice, yummmmm. This book was epic all around!! The twists genuinely took me by surprise. I’m going to call A.K. the queen of twists. I love this world and that we get to fall more in love with the characters from the previous books. Cora is an amazing addition to this clan. She lives and loves with such fierceness. And Havok… my poor tortured soul. His love knows no bounds. Another amazing read.
Hmmmm I will never stop saying how special Vok truly is. A vampire who is tortured after losing his mate, he never got over it. He is grumpy, slightly psychotic, and only came to help when Kai asked for it and they are brothers.
Cora has lived lifetimes, never knowing why. She runs from this pressing feeling that someone is searching for her and wants to hurt her….a nomadic lifestyle. And then her van breaks down and she meets…Vok. Their love story isn’t easy, its hard and will make you bawl. You’ll ask yourself why life is so hard for Cora, and why she’s going thru all of this. You’ll never see a clock the same way again. Do you want to go thru the torture to see if they make it ? Of course you do.
You need to. This story is worth it, you need it, but you’ll prob be up all night reading it. Also completely worth it.
A complex story filled with as much laugh out loud moments as tear jerkers ones. I really enjoyed getting to know Cora and Havok. They sure had to come a long way to finally get to be together. I have loved to have the brothers and their mates being an important part of the story too. We get to meet a new character who is surprisingly not what he seems! Beautiful: will read again!
Oh man did AK Graves write another great book! She hooks you with her words and you don’t put the book down until you are finished! Havok and Cora, I love this couple! Havok with his dark alluring possessive ways and Cora a independent female you’ll just loved. And together, oh man, they are so sweet. Put in the paranormal and you get one great book!
Oh my gosh!!! I LOVE this series! There are so many twists and turns and every time I think I know howish it’s going to go A.K. Graves does a hypothetical laugh and spins me in a new direction that leaves me flipping those pages faster than I thought I could. Holy cow, you will not be disappointed you picked up this series.
I took my sweet time reading this book because I just didn't want to the journey to end. I am a sucker for reincarnated lovers stories and this one really hit hard in my favorites category. This had vampires, dragons, reincarnated lovers who have been looking for each other over several lifetimes...there was no doubt in my mind that I would finish this book. I loved this book so much and I know I will be re-reading it again in the future. I even wrote a whole blog post about the book, so check that out if you want to know my full thoughts.
I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Absolutely LOVE the dynamics between Gypsy/Cora and Havok. They are perfectly made for each other. This book had so much emotion and love, but also pain and suffering. I just can't get enough of this world the author created. 😍
I want my own Havok!! The Bound Beyond Blood series has well and truly worked it’s way into my heart. I adore Havok so very much in this book. He was a quirky, edgy character at the end of book 1 that I could’ve easily passed as a side character BUT the wonderful writing of A.K. Graves truly brought this character to life. Havok became warm and loving, dangerous and protective, and extremely lovable. His love and adoration for Cora/Gypsy shone through every word he spoke and it was clear she reciprocated. This is a steamy paranormal romance but the writing makes the story feel refreshingly intriguing. Great writing, very cohesive. Great story, not too predictable. Awesome characters with good progression. I’m definitely an A.K. Graves fan!!
I absolutely loved this book from the start. The series is addictive is a great way to describe it. I recently discovered A.K during a giveaway and I am a huge fan. Havok and Cora are wonderful characters. Fantastic writing, involving the supporting characters as well as the H&H. A definite must read. Totally recommend this series.
I received this ARC from the Author and my review is completely voluntary.
I loved Havok and Cora and how they connected. Cora brought light into Havok’s darkness and they were so sweet together. I really enjoyed this story and anyone who loves vampires should check out this book!
Who doesn’t love a Dark, Delicious and Possessive Vampire! Especially when he finds his perfect match with a Short, Bada$$ that is filled with the perfect amount of Light and Love. We see a true balance between Havok and Cora. We also get to see all the characters from the past along with Zan who I truly fell for his demonic self. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the ending added the Cherry on top. If you love all the supernatural characters such as Vampires, Faes, Dragons and Demons them you will enjoy this magical world AK Graves has created.
I loved Cora and Havoc two lost souls that come together when each is going through troubled times. The storyline is interesting and entertaining throughout the pages. The characters are engaging and have plenty of chemistry throughout.
I received a copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Fantastic! This one has all the feels. I laughed, cried and cursed the characters. I don’t want to spoil it but run don’t walk and get this as soon as possible! I am excited to see where this goes next.
Amazing addition to the series. I loved this book. My new relationship goal is to have a man call me “my light”. Vok had me swooning from the very beginning. Couldn’t put it down! A.K. Graves is a great author, I love everything she writes
Omg this couple I love so much!!!! I love Cora and Havoc two deep and lost souls that come together when each is going through a difficult time. The story is interesting and amazingly entertaining throughout the book. The characters are amazing and this is a great book I loved it so much .
Wow,wow!! What a fabulous book, well read ny Nathaniel Gray I had been given this book for an honest review and it did not disappointment me at all Fantastic characters in this book that will have looking for your sexy vampire oh yes indeed. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Enjoyed Havoc and Cora’s story in this series. Loved how it was woven thru past and present. It was fun to see the lives of the other characters from His Fate woven into this book, sounds like the women are keeping the dragon brothers on their toes. A.K Graves is a fantastic storyteller! Can’t wait to read the next book from her in this series.
What a sweet fated mates story, finally finding their mate after centuries of trying. This was definitely an interesting story that made you feel personally involved in their journey to happiness. The world building is fantastic. Every character is important and develops the story in their own way, continuing to build on the importance of family. The twist towards the end where a new family member is introduced, was so emotional and not at all what I was expecting. It is definitely worth reading to see how that unfolds. I highly recommend this book, especially if you like supernatural stories. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
His Retribution is book two in the Bound Beyond Blood series by A. K. Graves and it was so so good.
💜 Fated mates 💜 found family 💜 prophecies 💜 mysteries to be solved 💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spicy spice
Broken down car and no options other than to work for money to be able to make repairs, Gypsy has to interview at the town’s local bar for a job. She will allow herself a few weeks at most and then she’s off again. Needs to move and keep on moving. Havok has finally agreed to leave the cave and move into the cabin that links to his brother’s mansion through an underground tunnel. He needs to focus on his revenge again. The purpose for continuing to live. Will he fulfill his revenge? Will Gypsy be able to repair everything and move on as planned?
This was such a great story. I love the ability to look at all of the angles of what has happened with others and the blend of the present. It was well done and I kept finding myself going back for more whenever I could. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series to see who else we get to know better.
Brilliant narration of Nathaniel Gray, who bought the characters to life and made this a great listen.
This is a steamy paranormal romance . Cora has lived lifetimes, never knowing why, feeling that someone is searching for her . You're sucked in from the very beginning to the end. I soo want to say more, but keep giving the plot away..... Listen and enjoy.
His Retribution, book 2 of the Bound Beyond Blood series, by A.K. Graves @authorakgraves is a favorite author of mine.
I absolutely loved this book about Havok & Cora! Tropes: Contemporary, Vampire, Human (maybe), Side characters are Dragon Shifters & a Demon, Reincarnation, Puppy!, Vampire War, & HFN!
The writing is good. Keeps your interest. Problem is a LOT of it just drones on and on. Could've skipped a lot of scenes bc the were just repeating themselves
