When it comes to motley crews, the Blackout has most starships beat.

But as a ruthless force swarms over the quadrant, crushing and enslaving all civilizations in its path, it falls to this unlikely band of non-heroes to turn the tide. If they don't kill each other first.

Eclipse, the fifth book in the Blackout series, is old-fashioned space opera at its best, perfect for fans of action-packed drama and fun!

The Blackout series is an homage to thrilling pulp sci-fi of yesteryear. If you're interested in hard science fiction look elsewhere. But if you're looking for action-packed adventures on strange worlds with even stranger aliens, this series is for you!

follows the Blackout series and I loved every page of this book, keeping the crew and captian together and not dieing was the biggest part of the book to me.

Captain Jackson Keough continues his thankless task to unite several species of beings to fight the Krakzid and gathers significant forces to fight them on both Apra and Keter. They are relatively successful: they will join together to fight the Krakzid, but they refuse to become friends. Will Jackson be able to hold the forces together long enough to completely rid all their homelands of the invaders? I thoroughly enjoy the non-stop action and battles against overwhelming odds, the double-dealing among the “friendly” forces, set-backs and even some humor. These books are hard to put down and I read this one in one sitting. I received an ARC – this review is my honest opinion. I look forward to reading the entire series.

Good read.

This book was a good read and it fit into the series very well and like the there there was plenty of action both in space and on different planets. So far I have enjoyed the series to the point that I find it hard to put down. Off too the next one.

More enjoyable nonsense

The implausible adventures continue. If this was a religious tract, impossible rescues and amazing coincidences could be written off as miracles, but in science fiction...

What a ride! The Blackout’s crew members go separate ways to fight the Krakzid invaders in exciting battle after battle - each one different from the rest.
