Hell has felt like home lately to Naomi Dunbar, but her Maker is about to change everything. She has a secret crush on the man with the glowing gold eyes who saved her life, and gave her the gift of the wolf, but he is distant, and getting quieter by the day. The handsome, dominant Alpha is focused on healing her from the inside out, but it seems like it’s draining him to do it. Hot and cold, hot and cold, and Naomi is searching for any way to figure him out. She’s always been submissive, but the wolf inside of her is making big changes, and as the awful mysteries surrounding her death as a human, and rebirth as a werewolf unravel, she’s starting to understand why Ru has been keeping his distance from her.
Ru’s entire life changed the second he pulled a stranger from a well and saved her life. He was never cut out to be a Maker, but here he is. A War-Wolf from birth, he is trying his best to do right by the woman he’s starting to care for, but there is so much more happening than she knows. And if she finds out, it could destroy her and her brand-new wolf forever. For Ru, it’s growing more and more unacceptable to lose her.
The Trader Pack is gone, and the Stryker Pack lives on, but Ru is learning that war was easy. Peace is his greatest struggle.
Don’t miss this exciting fifth installment in T. S. Joyce’s bestselling Wolves of Promise Falls series, where nothing is as it ever seems.
Content Explicit love scenes, naughty language, and piles of shifter secrets. This series is mid-war and mid-establishing territory lines. If you aren’t up for wolf fights, this won’t be your jam, but if you’re up for action-adventure love stories with a side of werewolf growly-growly-fight-fights, this one’s for you.
T.S. Joyce is devoted to bringing hot shifter romances to readers. Hungry alpha males are her calling card, and the wilder the men, the more she'll make them pour their hearts out. She werebear swears there'll be no swooning heroines in her books. It takes tough-as-nails women to handle the shifters of Bear Valley.
She lives in a tiny town, outside of a tiny city, and devotes her life to writing big stories. Foodie, bear whisperer, ninja, thief of tiny bottles of awesome smelling hotel shampoo, nap connoisseur, movie fanatic, and zombie slayer, and most of this bio is true.
Bear Shifters? Check Smoldering Alpha Hotness? Double Check Sexy Scenes? Fasten up your girdles, ladies and gents, it's gonna to be a wild ride.
This one had a quiet, hopeful, promising tone to it. This pack needed that, they needed to know all the bad stuff was in the past, that they can move forward being their goofy selves and just living. I loved how everything was wrapped up for them and how they all came to see that the justice that Darren provided was better than what they would have done in the past. I also loved that Ru and Natalie get to live their lives happy together.
Okay, this book was fun. Considering the main character was kidnapped and died earlier in the series, I was expecting it to be a lot heavier going. But the banter is there, and there's a lot more interaction of the side characters, which always makes for the best of best shenanigans. I love when the crew if together talking about nothing and ragging on each other. This is the sort of content I will keep on coming back for.
Ru had no choice but to turn Naomi in order to save her life after being thrown into a well to die.. He turned her and saved her life, but who would save his?
Ru never knew how to be normal; he was a killing machine for his previous alpha and now he wanted to be a good man for Naomi.. She didn't realize that from the moment he set eyes on her dying form he was smitten. Would she hate him now for turning her into an animal?
Little does Ru know how Naomi feels, but he keeps shutting her out at every turn....How can a hunk like him be interested in the likes of her. Could she just be crushing on her maker??
Awesome book, anger, happiness, sadness and laughter all rolled up in one book.
So I'm so glad Naomi got a book, but you know Joyce won't do you wrong in that regard. And poor Ru and Naomi...so lost at first...but that's why they fit so well. I was wildly curious as to why Naomi didn't remember things...even though I understood there was likely a reason for it...
*I'll have to say more about this at another time because I am realizing just now that I was likely going somewhere with this and it looks like I didn't finish my thought and I can't remember WHAT I was thinking anymore.*
The H had been an uncomfortable person, skilled but not kind. Finally he discovers his potential, he has so much to offer the h. She's been so badly hurt, yet her kindness shines through and captivates the H. I loved seeing her strength helps to the pack to deepen their bonds. Loved it.
Naomi is a new werewolf and Ru is her maker, and she has a small crush on him❣️ Unfortunately, the Pack leaves town before she gets to know them better as their past has caught up to them…except Darren is supposed to be the Alpha and he lets Naomi know he’s going to bring them back which he does😁 Naomi is now completely immersed in the werewolf life but she is starting to have feelings and thoughts of places she “hasn’t” been to and her safe life is suddenly feeling threatened by someone she knows, but doesn’t🤔
I really enjoyed this story and finding out more about Naomi and her ordeal from the previous book😢 I especially liked getting to know these characters better and loved Ru and Naomi❤️ Looking forward to Bootlace’s story next🤩
Loved it 💗 Had a great time ❣️❣️❣️ Thank you Aloha ,I have this much fun reading in what feels like forever . It hasn’t been but it sure feels like it.I NEEDED a GOOD read. Something dark but the characters work enough of their special quirky magic to make it feel light enough . I was happily surprised here. Naomi wasn’t exactly who I expected. I expected sweet, and quirky and fun in her own way but I also thought she’d be giving Ru a up hill climb after leaving her the way he did . Damn. I should have known better I guess and I apologize for my assumptions. Assumptions I know planted there by what other writers have trained me to expect. For that I’m sorry. I loved seeing a toxic pack turning healthy due a good newly turned alpha . Never seen this in a story before ,with this writer or any other and I love it 🥰 It’s beautiful is to watch. This was a very different story to anything I’ve seen before from this writer and I love that too. Shifters helping fix a human on human problem and then letting it be solved in a “human” way ? What a neat twist. I can’t honestly say I’d love more ! I’d have loved more time seeing Ru and Naomi build their relationship. It seemed he stayed away ( or tried to) til he couldn’t then they were suddenly together and that was it. I’d liked more . But it was ok. My only real disappointment is/was in the lack of development of a relationship between the new Stryker pack and Promise Falls pack. I almost feel like we’re developing a “new” Damon’s type mountains here in a way and Stark definitely feels like he’s been put into play as their “Beaston”. Stark knew for certain by the end of the last book 📚 that that this group was good . That they are kind and caring and would make great friends and allies his pack. I guess I could seen him being cautious with a kit/pup on the way but they means you need more friends not less. Even if ppl might still be after them . They did a float down the river ,like crews at Damon’s LOVED to do ,down to “Promise Falls” and yet no one from Promise Falls pack joined in. I was honestly really disappointed they didn’t show . It would have felt like a perfect time to add their goofiness to the mix. And we all know they mix so well. Please have a “girls night “ with ALL the girls in this series and let them show the guys how it’s done ! They usually do! Why not now ? Please read! You don’t have to start with book one but you need the book before this one at least .
This is the fifth book in this series. I think they should be read in order. Naomi hasn’t been having it very easy lately. She was turned in to a wolf, her maker left, her memory was wiped to protect her. Only now she needs to know what was wiped. She keeps seeing people she knows but doesn’t know how she knows. As well as knowing places she has no memory of being before. The parts that were wiped were wiped for a reason only they may need to know what is there. Ru is back and as much as he wants to be with Naomi as more than her maker, he feels like she deserves someone so much better than him or what he can give her. But he can only fight that pull for so long. What makes it harder to hold out is the things Naomi does for him. Ru gives up fighting the feeling when Naomi is given those memories back. He just seems to know what Naomi needs before she does. He is more than sword of the alpha. He is now Naomi’s weapon even if she never uses him like that. Another fantastic book. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. TS Joyce you have done it again. I always love the worlds and characters you come up with. I always recommend TS Joyce’s books to people. She is a must-read author for me. I don’t even read the blurbs anymore I just dive in.
Naomi was kidnapped by a serial killer and thrown into a well to die. Her back and legs were broken and she was fighting not to drown. Ru and his pack came to rescue her but in spite of their efforts she died. Ru used his one opportunity and turned her to save her life. As a new werewolf Naomi is thrown into a fight with another pack. Ru felt they had to leave Naomi and Darren behind to protect them. Months down the road they return and it's the beginning of new pack dynamics. In the meantime Stark had erased a lot of Naomi's memories but she kept having times of knowing something but not understanding why she knew it. Finally she asks for Stark to bring her memories back. Turns out the man they thought had tried to kill her wasn't guilty but instead her killer was a cop in town who was still walking around free. Ru was her maker but also turned out to be her mate. I loved their story.
My God what a freaking great book y’all. This is Ru and Naomi’s story. Naomi has been through hell no person should go through. Ru was a war dog for his last alpha, always fighting and killing at the whims of his old alpha. When Naomi’s memories try coming back she has two choices face them or hide them again. She’s a bad ace werewolf know with her pack by her side she can do anything even facing the terror of what she went through. Ru was a killer, a fighter, not a fixer, but god he wanted to be for Naomi. When the skeletons come to light can these two find their inner strength and weather the storm? Can the new Alpha build his pack to be better? Can this new pack have each other’s back’s? Wellllll I can tell you go get your copy and find out today. I absolutely love this series and this book does not disappoint.
There is nothing better than character development in a story and T.S. Joyce is a master at bringing broken, strong, quirky characters to life in the most astonishing ways. This 5th book in the Promise Falls series continues the story of a tiny pack of shattered and damaged wolves as they move on from war to find a place to call home and love all while bringing justice to one who so grievously hurt a young woman. Ru and Naomi are two gloriously imperfect people who fill up the broken pieces of each other. I cried tears of shared grief and tears of happiness at least four times while reading this. Get this series, hell, get all this amazing woman's books, you will love them all.
Ru’s struggling, the former war wolf of his old pack was never meant to have a mate or be alpha but he had no choice. Now his wolf doesn’t want to lose so Darren can be alpha but it’s best for the pack. He saved Naomi because he couldn’t resist though he doesn’t deserve her either, he has to hold back and just teach her since he was her maker.
Hearing bits and pieces about being kidnapped, thrown into a well, had bones reset and memories erased plus becoming a werewolf didn’t make Naomi Dunbar remember it all. Ru helped her but he’s so moody, hot and cold it’s making her nuts. On a girl’s night out with Aspen, memories tickle the edges of her mind and Naomi can’t hold her wolf back. Rating: 4.25stars
The Wolves of Promise Falls book 5. Ru and Naomi. Ru saves Naomi after being left for dead in a previous book. In this book we learn a lot of backstory. Do saved her from dying and changed her into a wolf. Naomi doesn't remember the what happened cause they blocked her memories in order to protect her. As they become more of a cohesive pack with a new alpha and Ru finding his way as well. They have what each other needs. She is stronger than she realizes and he gets to be vulnerable. This book has action, drama, angst and passion. Loved the flow and dialogue. I can't wait for Bootlace story. Love this series.
This is book five in the series. I think Naomi’s story is like a sleeper story because so much happens in a low key way. Previously, we know that both Aspen and Ru sacrificed for the ones that they loved. Now, this newly formed Stryker Clan has to move forward from their recent losses and the save of Naomi. Darren continues to be impressive as a new wolf and an officer of the law. Stark helped Naomi as she is working through trauma and acclimates to her clan. One encounter has Naomi in trouble which starts a series of events for the new clan. Read On!
Naomi was found in a well dying. Ru rescued her and Turned her. The pack has left town, and she is now alone. Ru and the others have been found by Darren and are returning to town. Ru didn't want to be responsible for Naomi; but he feels the pull to take care of her. Naomi is finally ready to return to the office to work. Aspen and Naomi have a girl's night out and Naomi sees someone she recognizes and starts remembering things. The new Stryker Pack comes together and learn about their new Alpha.
TS Joyce takes her side characters and turns them into monumental main ones, as each of her series progresses. In her Wolves of Promise Fall series, we have previously met Naomi and Ru. And they were important. But their lives, loyalty, and love are front and center in book 5, The Edge of Promise.
When I take the time to read a book, I do so for one of two reasons; to support the author or to allow my heart to FEEL. TS Joyce works for both reasons. I support her because she makes me feel. She takes all of us C-Teamers and builds worlds where we can feel the highs and lows. We can laugh and then have tears of sorrow. We can become more than what others may think we can.
All of TS Joyce’s books have a uniquely common thread of hope, loyalty, and love.
“The last uncertain pieces of her soul clicked into place,”
Naomi and Ru’s story is darker than I’m used to from this author but so was number 4 in the series. Naomi, in the prior story, was found dying because of a killer and was given the chance at life by becoming a were wolf, with Ru as the maker. I like the premise that they only can turn one person, making this feel more like a gift than a curse. So a well thought out story in a good series but I thought that the heaviness wasn’t as entrancing as her usually humor and levity. Still a good read and I’m looking forward to the next one!
The author never disappoints. Noami's and Ru's story was unique. I'm not sure how to classify the trope though surely mates and friends to lovers apply. While all the stories are stand-alones in the series, the backstory is heavily dependent on the previous book. I was quite surprised of the crime aspect which was also in the last book - loved it! Though the book dealt with some darker topics, this book was also fun. The dynamics of their little pack is amusing and we got to know also a bit more of the other characters Bootlace and Trey.
Consumed this book in a few hours as I couldn’t stop reading. My husband hates it when TS Joyce releases a new book as I’m unresponsive until I’ve finished it. I have literally re-read her entire book series multiple times. She is my go to author when I feel down and need that pick me up so if you haven’t read her stuff before, please start from the beginning because the characters she creates will soon feel like family #Cteam x
what an emotional round up to book 1 in this series
This book is brilliant. The first book has some thriller vibes to it and they search for a missing woman as well as aim to fix their pack. This one perfectly described the main characters and rounded up the first book mystery really well. Ticked all the boxes for me. Can’t wait to learn more about the other two characters in the pack now.
The overall relationship story in this book falls on the predictable side. I’m still glad it was told. I LOVE Ru and Naomi’s strength in her inner struggle is admirable and something I believe a lot of us can connect with. But what I truly loved about this book was the pack bonds. Seeing Darren as Alpha and watching everyone interact with each other in their own funny way was refreshing and brought a smile to my face often throughout.
Nothing like a T book to make me feel peace and happiness for a little bit!
Ru and Naomi are soooo perfect for each other! I so much enjoyed how they figure it out one step at a time and that they can be so not have things together individually and yet together it comes together just right!
C-Team is the best team! Our pack is amazing and supportive and totally hilarious!
I didn’t expect that out of the Redmond family!! I absolutely love reading about the bonding of this Stryker Pack. We hear a lot about Stark but I want these packs to bond together too! I’m hoping the next books have more from the Promise Falls pack again since they are living in the same territory. So glad for Naomi’s character build and seeing her grow into her new self! And seeing Ru find his redemption in her. It was a good story!
After surviving hell that would have left others broken and unmendable. This was a testament that you can face those demons, hold your head up high and thrive despite them when you have the right ones with you. And when you get really lucky you can help them beat their demons too.
Ru....you know...I felt bad for him in the last book. But, man...Alpha knows what she's doing and I've learned to trust her after all these years. There was a bit of a twisty twist and that was rough, but Naomi stood tall and did her thing. I'm always so proud of these characters. I don't know how words can do that...make me proud, but Alpha manages to do it. LOVE THESE BOOKS.
I have read every series and individual book you have written. I have to say each series is some how better than the last. And I absolutely love how characters from other series sometimes pop up in new ones so you get to catch up with them. Can't wait for the next book.
Loved all the dynamics between these two. I was hoping for them to get their story and I was mot disappointed at all. Ru became a respected and loved character. This also included a lot more of pack togetherness which was great as it lets me get to know the other two a bit better. I am starting the next one now!
This book is really amazing I don't really have the words to say how good it is it lets you feel everything that every 1 of the characters have inside of them it drags you through pain love laughter hard times good times and it lets you know just keep trying keep trying keep trying that's what we all need to do this is a wonderful book try and read it
