A sexy cougar shifter meets the woman of his dreams, but both are scarred by the past and must fight through troubled times to be together.

Griffon Redstone is the eldest of five brothers and the leader of one of the most influential shifter Clans in North America. He seeks solace in the mountains, away from the horrific events of the past months, for both himself and his young sister. The deaths of their older sister and mother have hit them both very hard.

Lindsey Tate is human, but very aware of the werewolf Pack that lives near her grandfather's old cabin. She's come to right a wrong her grandfather committed against the Pack and salvage what's left of her family's honor - if the wolves will let her. Mostly, they seem intent on running her out of town on a rail.

But the golden haired stranger, Grif, comes to her rescue more than once. He stands up for her against the wolf Pack and then helps her fix the old generator at the cabin, making it habitable for her while she completes her task. He's friendly and all too attractive, but she has a job to do, regardless of the cost to herself or her budding relationship with the local handyman.

When she performs the ceremony she expects will end in her death, the shifter deity has other ideas and turns the tables on them all. Grif's dual nature is revealed and Lindsey learns there is much more going on than she thought. Thrown together by fate, neither of them can deny the deep and true attraction between them. They come together, but in the end will an old enemy rip them apart?

Cats are frisky and they get up to all sorts of naughtiness, including a frenzy-induced multi-partner situation that might be a little intense for some readers. You have been warned.

Bianca D'Arc writes some of the steamiest books out there.. and yet she is a master story teller.. Her ability to wrap the sensual into the sexual, to entice the reader into the daring and enjoying books that otherwise could be considered downright raunchy is a gift.. and what a gift it is!!
Grif is the beginning of the Redstone Clan Series but it remains as part of the Tales of the Were Series.. Like Donna Grant and Melissa Mayhue, Ms D'Arc is shifting her main storyline just a bit sorta a sub series.. yeah that's the term, subseries..

Lindsey Tate is on a mission, her grandfather was shaman to his tribe and managed to seriously tick off the local were pack. On his death bed Lindsey promised to do everything in her power to make it right. Returning to the land and the pack has not been easy for this human girl. But she knows she has to fix it if she can (not knowing exactly what "it" is) the local pack is not making it easy for her. As a matter of fact they are being down right hostile. Then this golden man steps in and makes her heart go pitter patter.. gorgeous caring considerate and totally unexpected. Lindsey isn't even sure if she is going to live through the make it better ritual, should she indulge in a little affair with this fabulous man?

Grif Redstone is the oldest of five brothers, the Alpha's Alpha.. he runs his clan and his business and is grateful for all his family support. With the death of both his sister and his mother Grif is feeling like he let people down and has decided that he needs a break. Taking his youngest sister to the mountains for a chance to roam seems like the perfect time off. Until he meets Lindsey a contradiction of terms. A sweet human who attracts his cat?? The cat says this human is his mate... but everyone knows that is just not possible.. When luscious Lindsey lowers her shields all sorts of wonderful things begin to happen.

A decidedly sultry story with all sorts of action thrown in. The Redstone Clan seems to be under attack and the family just doesn't know it yet. Why are their women dying? What is happening? Can Grif and the family keep Lindsey and the munchkin safe? Was their older sister's mate compelled to kill? What mysteries are going on and who is behind it? Bianca D'Arc does a tease with us.. We think we are getting all sultry sex and instead get an action packed story with excellent plot and characters... great job!!

Check out Bianca... I have enjoyed every single book she has written (well those I have read) each book surprises me with it's rich characters, decadent plots and decidedly sensual themes..

Change is in the air

Such a strong story for an alpha pair. I think this is one of my favorites from the Tales of the Were. I love the way the Lady took such an active part in the journey to their HEA. This family, this clan, has already come through so much. I can’t wait to see how much stronger they grow as the series progresses.

I found this whilst browsing. I can't remember if it was free or not, but by golly I'm so glad I got it!! I've not read any by this author before, but will be on the lookout!
Strong characters, with reference to each past and how they came to where they are. A twist to the usual were-wolf plot, with shifter cats, shamans and priestesses, it provide a good grounding to the next in the series.
Some violence but not in great detail but very explicit sex scenes including multi partner action.

Another great book to the collection. The Lords of Were books are fantastic and this new series to join it has had a fantastic start with this book. There is so much more learnt about the world Bianca has created in this book and the little bits we learn about the other cougar brothers leave you dying for the next book in the series. I can wait to find out who's story will be next.

Recommending...

Tales of the Were has been a very entertaining series thus far. Aside from steamy mate-claiming stories, the common theme is the battle of preternatural servants of the light (the Lady, the goddess) versus the evil minions of Venifucus with their mission to destroy the leadership of the were clans and essentially take over the world. I recommend Tales of the Were to readers who enjoy lots of action and adventure with their steamy PNR.

...Ménage Missteps?

I just want to comment on the ménage scenes. In Book 1, the ménage scenes were integral to the plot that involved the twin were lords sharing a mate. In later books, the ménage scenes seem separate from the plot as though they were added as an afterthought (to meet the demand of a publisher?...to get some kind of erotica heat rating?), and they really could have been left out. The stories have plenty of erotic heat without the ménage scenes that don't seem to fit. Just sayin'.

Tie-in with Brotherhood of Blood Series

A note by author Bianca D'Arc indicates that Tales of the Were intersects with her series Brotherhood of Blood at about this point. She indicated that events in the BoB Book 4, Sweeter Than Wine occur prior to the next Tales of the Were story, Book 6. I consider this good news, because that means this engaging series is twice as long when the Brotherhood of Blood stories are included.

Recommended Reading Order

It is a little confusing. To be clear, after reading ToW Book 5 (Tales of the Were: Grif), you should read BoB Books 1-4, beginning with One and Only. After BoB Book 4, Sweeter Than Wine, then you switch back to ToW Book 6, Tales of the Were: Red. I hope to find the Brotherhood of Blood books just as enjoyable...jumping series in 3...2...1...now. ;D

I actually have rather mixed feelings about this book. In the beginning, I was very interested by the shifter world that the author had created and the mystery of what was going to happen to the female lead. As the story unfolded, though, it felt like the there was a lot of details missing from the story that were either mentioned in previous books or the author completely forgot to include them at all. This lead me to feeling a bit lost about what was happening, and ultimately it made me lose interest in the storyline. Another part of me losing interest was that there was no reason that I should have lost interest since the story isn't that long. This book is novella length and yet it didn't feel like there was quite enough material for the story. That really bothered me in the long run. Something else that turned me off from this story a bit was that the male lead's little sister's behavior didn't match her age. Supposedly, the little sister is twelve years old but she acted more like she was somewhere in the range of 5-8. Her behavior was so childish that even a childish twelve-year-old would act more mature than this girl did. The final thing that bothered me more and more as the story went on is the foursome sex orgy that happens close to halfway through the book. The rationale in the story is that the female lead goes through a mating frenzy where she needs as many guys as can possibly service her. (I felt that the logic for this situation was sketchy at best because she didn't have any other problems related to what caused the mating frenzy. And she should have had other problems.) Then, she has three guys taking turns servicing her including the male lead, his brother, and a friend of the male lead. At this point in the story, the male and female lead are supposed to be exclusively together so the whole situation soured the story for then on for me. Unfortunately, based on this story, I don't think that I would make an effort to read any more of this author's books.

Grif is the first book in The Redstone Clan. We meet the Redstones' throughout the Tales of the Were Series and these are their stories.

Lindsey Tate returns to her grandfathers home in Wyoming to complete her promise to him and make right the wrong he had done in the past. Easier said than done as Lindsey quickly learns the local wolf pack do not care why she has returned they just want her gone.

Griffon Redstone or Grif to those who know him has come to Wyoming to hopefully help his little sister heal from their recent devastating losses. It is not long after his arrival at his family cabin he is met by the local wolf Alpha who makes the rules quite clear to Grif if he and his sister are to stay.

Grif first picks up Lindsey's scent when he goes to Ed's Diner for a bite. He knows he is drawn to the sexy waitress but he is sure she cannot be his mate as she is human and as Alpha of the Redstone Clan the last thing he needs is a human mate. When Grif sees the way the wolves treat Lindsey his instincts are to protect her and the more he gets to know her the more those instincts start to take over. When the night comes for Lindsey to fulfil her grandfathers wish no one especially Lindsey is prepared for what happens but it is about to change everything including her relationship with Grif. Grif wants nothing more than to be with Lindsey right now but with the evil he tried to get his sister away from now at his doorstep Grif will need to call his brothers along with the all the other resources they have to ensure he is stopped once and for all. Can Grif protect his family and put an end to the evil tracking them or will their family be torn apart with even more loss and what will happen to Lindsey if he doesn't succeed.

I really loved this book and would definitely recommend it to others. You will fall in love with the loyalty and closeness of the Redstones and the admiration and trust they share with their friends.

Note: This book is the first in a sub-series of Redstone Clan stories, set in the ongoing Tales of the Were series.

There’s nothing more satisfying than watching a series grow and evolve and the feeling that you’re part of the ongoing journey.
I feel honoured to have been privy to the author’s growth, as her passion for this story is evident not only in the telling of the tale, but the characterizations and overwhelming emotional content, which provide the very foundation of this book.
GRIF will grab you by the throat, and refuse to allow you breath until the very last page!
Tales of the Were is an action-packed series, where every new story is more gripping and captivating than the last, and Bianca D’Arc”s writing is only getting better!

A PNR with a cat shifter (two actually) that I liked. A little long, though, as all of Bianca D'Arc novels are - a lot of inner musings, but good enough to accept. I would have liked the heroine to be a little more aggressive, but it looks like the females in the cat clans are nurturers, not warriors.
There was a multiple partner scene that was explained by a "frenzy" which I didn't enjoy, especially since the main couple was already mated, but I guess it's the price to pay for reading about cats (they are known for being randy).
All in all, I liked it a lot more than the first in the Lords of the Were series and I want to read Slade's story next.

Adventure, old magic, and a race against time.
Just to get away from everything and the clan for a bit. Grif and his baby sister are on a mini vacation. Grif for as long as he has been alive never felt anything so stirring in his life as the human woman in front of him taking his order. But he wants nothing to do with her but maybe a tumble in the sheets to satisfy his cat and his libido. But something about his has his cat just aching to come out and claim... What is it with this woman?
Lindsay is back in town to finish what her grandfather started to make wrong right. Even if it means her death. She will get the job done.

When Lindsey's grandfather passes away, she promises to do a ritual that fixes a wrong done many years ago. The wolves in the area try to run her off.
Grif is a cougar shifter and Alpha of his clan. He takes his little sister to their cabin to get away after losing their older sister and mother. He is attracted to Lindsey but she's human and he knows nothing can come of it. But he can't stay away from her.
Now his sister's killer is stalking them and he'll do anything to keep his family safe. And bring to justice the killer.
Great story. Surprises. Sex.

I have found that I love this series. I have read it a couple of times now and will probably reread it when the next book in the series comes out. This author is awesome and I have every book that I could find for her Brotherhood of Blood and Tales of the Were series. I like how they all go together and you get to see the characters from other books intertwine with them. Can't wait for Matt's story.

Griffin and Lindsey - after the death of their mother Grif takes his little sister to their mountain retreat to try to find some peace. While in town he meets Lindsey at the town diner being harassed by some local wolf pack members. Lindsey is trying to right the wrong her grandfather committed and is sworn to perform the ritual the night of the full moon. She gets the shock of a lifetime with the results and together with Grif they learn to deal with what the goddess has gifted them.

This book is totally different than the other books I've read in this genre. There is love of course and action and even some mystery thrown in. What can never be left out? Great sex of course. I loved all of the characters in this book. Very playful. Wink wink. I also loved Logan. He is an intriguing character. Worth your time and money.

Nice start of the sub-series within the Tales of the Were Series. The first book of the Redstone Ark looks and reads promising. Magic, stalking and finding your way in a new world of shifters is part of this journey. Can't wait to read more as the overall story line finally weaves together the different parts of this stunning universe...

While I liked seeing the different elite folks show up, I wasn't impressed by the local wolf pack. I also felt that given the reason Grif left with his sister, there was very little interaction between them or showing how she was doing and what was helping her heal.

Lindsey was on a mission to right the wrong of her grandfather. She was determined and wasn't going to be stopped by the local wolf pack either. Sure, they were making things difficult for her. 3.5. (inglés) (Explícito). Me gustó, estuvo entretenido.
