This was a cute early comic book though it didn't feel like a typical Pete the Cat read. There was nothing groovy about it which was disappointing. There were also some made-up words which I don't like being in early readers because to me, that defeats the purpose of an early reader.
Again, I enjoyed this story and I loved that they taught kids how to read a comic book in the beginning before the story started. I just didn't get the Pete the Cat feelings from this one, but maybe other Pete the Cat fans will disagree.

Pete the cat gets called out to investigate some noise and lights at the playground. What he finds there is a spaceship that takes him into outer space. As he gets pulled into a larger alien ship, what will happen to Pete?

This was a fun one to read. I loved the spaceships, aliens, and the end of the story!

This book allows your kids to read the series themselves. Some of the words and made up words I don't think fit into a level 1. If you like the series check it out. If you haven't liked the series in the past this one won't change your mind.

When Pete the Cat finds an empty spaceship on the playground he gets in and accidentally launches it into space. When he runs out of gas, Pete is rescued and taken to another planet, where he receives a great surprise.

Agent Meow gets a call about strange lights on the playground at night. While investigating, he comes across an alien spaceship. No aliens appear to be around so Agent Meow takes it for a spin. But who left the spaceship there and why?

Don't worry, only friendly aliens in this story. It's a mix of adventure and mystery, with a drive by of Mars. An enjoyable scifi mystery adventure for little Pete the Cat/Agent Meow fans.
