Constance Burris is a nerd, writer of diverse fiction, wife and mother. Most of her stories are speculative fiction. She was lost moment she read her first science fiction story in kindergarten about people living on Venus. When she discovered no one live there, she was heartbroken, but it didn't affect her love for all things fantastical.
I think this was probably my favorite of the three main books - mostly because it featured Jade and also the other characters from the Black Beauty short story. However, there were just SO MANY characters in this book that it made it hard to focus on any one thing for too long and it all felt a bit disjointed and like it was moving way too fast. I did like the ending overall but it just felt like it maybe wrapped up a bit too neatly. Still, this is a decent enough urban fantasy series and all the books are pretty short reads. I would have liked it if the main series was a bit more like the short story [I guess more urban less fantasy?], but it was still good and it's nice to find something that is short and self-contained rather than dragging on and on for 10+ books like a lot of series these days.
I'm really enjoying this series. It's different but very interesting. I think about to read the last book which is depressing but I look forward to and can't wait to start the next one
What a grand ending! I loved this series, and while there may be other books to come, most of the main action does conclude with this story. Fantastic world! I hope we see more in the years ahead.
While I enjoyed the story, I did think it was a little preachy. The Queens are interesting and could certainly hold their own in a book. It does appear that more story telling is coming...a good thing.
I was very impressed with the unpredictability of this book. Some stories you just know what direction they're headed in. But not with this third installment. I love this series and I need there to be one more. I have solo many unanswered questions.
I thought this book was a good read. After reading Books 1 & 2, it was terrific reading Book 3. I loved the dynamics between the characters. The ending was one I didn't expect.
I enjoyed reading this trilogy! Unexpected twists. Interested to see how things workout between the Fey and humans. Looking forward to reading more from this author. Hopefully we can see what happens with the triplets.
