Deadliest Intuition

Rate this book
A heart-pounding psychological thriller of how far someone will go to keep their secrets....

He has one gray eye, the other as dark as the deepest parts of any ocean. The often misunderstood Ronald Doolally lives his life as a single man with few attachments. After the death of his father, he hasn't a person left in the world. Until he meets Gertrude Liberal, who immediately shows interest in the odd stranger. The outspoken, natural beauty sees his distant demeanor as endearing.

Eventually wearing down his defenses, Gertrude finds a place in his heart against what Ronald would call his better judgment. He once thought of himself as being steered through life by a keen intuition, but that now manifests into something much more sinister.

As Gertrude unearths the Doolally family's secrets, she begins to question the man with whom she's found herself entangled. Who is Ronald, and how does he always seem to read people's minds? Will Gertrude's curiosity be her demise, or will Ronald be able to control his innermost thoughts once his secrets are unearthed?

Deadliest Intuition is a classic mystery/thriller that had me thinking I knew how it was going to end. Nope! E. Raye Turonek had me reading past midnight. I had to find out how what would happen next page after page. The bond between twins is more than the physical. The twins in this story have a frightening mental and supernatural connection.

This is a good psychological thriller, but it will give you whiplash reading it. It needed to have a better flow-it jumps back and forth with a lot of different people and things happening, to the point it gets a little confusing to follow. But still a very interesting story that keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next and the unexpected ending will have your jaw dropping.

Ronald lives with demons from his past and is a loner, until he meets the outspoken Gertrude. Together they take you on a crazy filled journey full of twists, turns, suspense, mystery, loss and secrets that keep you glued to the story as it unfolds.

All the characters are uniquely written to reveal who they really are.

The questions that were left unanswered as the story was told are revealed in the end and will shock you how it all played out and connects to the beginning of the story to close it out.

S u S P e N S e F ULLY Good!

Oh-Em-Gee…Author E. Raye Turonek wrote an amazing thriller story that’s touches so many interesting revelations I was rushing my read to get to the next page to find out what happens next. Through the eyes of this killer she shows his torturous internal love hate struggle to be and have a normal life, but normal he is not. The story was creepy, gripping, shocking and it drew me in keeping me engaged with so many thoughts going on as I read trying to figure out what and how. You won’t see what’s coming and that the brilliance of a mystery.

The clever unmasking of these characters was creatively written showing how one event can lead to the discovery of so much…and it’s a lot…and it’s shocking…and it’s good! This story was crazy and has everything in a murder mystery thriller I like that kept me very entertained.

Although I read much more than I listened, the narration by Manny Reed gave an entertaining voice to the characters.

To be honest I was confused most of the book. I found myself not being able to follow the storyline. Perhaps, I should have read the novel as opposed to listening to the audio. In all fairness, I would listen to/from my destinations. That probably had a lot to do with my confusion. Overall, it was good and the loose ends come together nicely.

Great Twists and Turns

Good storytelling, I was, practically, living on the edge of my seat. Suspenseful thriller with an unexpected ending. Infused with some Detroit history. A page turner.

Who is Ronald Doolally? Some speculate and some have their suspicions but nobody really knows for sure. With two different color eyes and haunting family secrets, Ronald Doolally is odd and misunderstood.

Author E. Raye Turonek knows how to keep readers glued to the pages! Written with thoughtful detail…"Deadliest Intuition" is psychotic, intriguing, mysterious, and unpredictable til the very end. Having grown up in Detroit and being familiar with the streets and places, I felt like I had a birds-eye view. And the ending was FIREWORKS! Readers...Take my word. 1-Click NOW and expect the unexpected!

Based on the reviews I think my expectations were high. Personally, I don’t think the story is very well written.
