A Steamy Fated Mates Enemies To Lovers Paranormal Romance
Being the alpha isn't always easy.
Keegan McRae is the leader of the Austin werewolf pack. And sometimes, for the good of all involved, a male has to make choices he wouldn't normally abide by. Like allowing the Faerie you're sweet on to be the main attraction in a rodeo. Not as the cowgirl, but as the livestock. Stubborn as a bull and just as fearless, Bitsy caught his interest the first time she flipped him off. But before he had a chance to make things right with her, she got loose. And though his wolf howled in protest at the loss, he had no choice but to let her go.
Bláthnaid (Bitsy) Dunn swore she would never again set foot in the hell hole that was Texas. Or anywhere near the arrogant shifter who was the main reason she hated it so much. The last time she'd seen him, his well-worn boots had stomped all over her hide—and her pride. Yet, here she was again. This time, however, she's here on her terms. Keegan needs her help to infiltrate the Fae world, and she needs him to help her find her father. His green eyes are full of remorse, and his easy smile is hard to resist, but forgiveness is not part of the deal.
However, Keegan is used to fighting for what he wants.
L.E. Wilson writes Paranormal Romance starring intense alpha males and the women who are fearless enough to tame them—for the most part anyway. ;) In her novels you'll find smoking hot scenes, a touch of suspense, a bit of gore, and multifaceted characters, all working together to combine her lifelong obsession with the paranormal and her love of romance.
Her writing career came about the usual way: on a dare from her loving husband. Little did they know just one casual suggestion would open a box of worms (or words as the case may be) that would forever change their lives.
Lattes and music are a necessary part of her writing process, and sometimes you'll find her typing away at her favorite Starbucks. She walks two miles to get there, to make up for all of those coffees.

This book had me frowning a fair bit. The sizzle and spark was buried so deep I couldn't find it.
Given the fact the hero, an alpha shifter allowed his pack to electrocute the heroine and her mother (who are fey), among other things for a fair while - the grovelling that occurred was rubbish.
Keegan is a wolf shifter and the alpha of his pack. His pack had started tracking down Fae and holding them in the 'rodeo' that they held. In reality the rodeo was just a way to torture and hurt the Fae and let the wolves get out some of their aggression so they didn't turn on each other. What they didn't know was there were different kinds of Fae and some of the Fae were innocent people who never hurt another living being. But the wolves all thought they were all the same so they treated them all the same.
Bitsy is one of those innocent Fae so when she and her family get caught and brought to the rodeo, it's really awful for them. Keegan seems to know somewhere in the back of his mind that they are different but he doesn't do anything to help them because he doesn't want his pack to turn on him. So when some guys from another pack comes to save some of the Fae, there's a fight but they get away. Now living with wolf shifters that understand her and her family, she is shocked when Keegan asks for her help.
Keegan has an ulterior motive for asking Bitsy because not only does he want her help, he wants her. Keegan has something of hers that she wants back so she agrees to help him. But just when things are going well for them a huge twist in this story happens and the worst thing that could happen... happens.
I really thought it was all over for them at that point. This book made me sad and mad at the same time. The rodeo was wrong on so many levels and the fact that Keegan was okay with it made him a big jerk in my eyes and I couldn't forgive him. The book ended well but it's hard to really enjoy a book when you don't think that the hero deserves a happy ending.
There was a little split second of eye contact between Bitsy and Keegan in Fae Encounter, and that was all it took to hook me. I was so excited to read this book!! I'm a little ashamed of how ridiculously invested I was in the HEA of these two. And as always, the author didn't let me down. Keegan's redemption was a beautiful thing to behold. (And he groveled for her forgiveness JUST RIGHT, too!) Keegan, while a bit of an asshat in Fae Encounter, became prime book boyfriend material in this book, and I adored every minute of it. In case I haven't made it clear, I highly recommend this series!! (And also highly recommend the author's vampire series, starting with Blood Hunger) Happy reading, all!!
The book is meh, the feminist in me made me hate it more that i should since the MC is such a damsel in distress and the guy is someone who is trying to ask for forgiveness by being a bossy douche at the beginning. He does seem more humane after some time but i really dont like how she is supposed to forgive him and just live with him in a territory where they are accostumed to kill her species because otherwise they will act like savages. She makes such compelling arguments that i really dont care if the wolves are aggressive. We are supposed to believe him, and yet there are other packs that dont have rodeos of faes. So... the dick is him for allowing this. I didnt read the previous books so i didnt understand about what happened before, but the author does explain some things so i think this can be read as a stand alone, although i dont recommend it- I would have like it more if he were to win the alpha challenge but still rejected to reign over them again, since his pack betrayed him and just leave with bitsy to another territory where she doesnt has to suffer from PTSD. But no, she falls in love with him so i guess she will have to suck it up and not only live in the same place where she was tortured, but also live with the guys responsible of said torture. Yeah. No. I prefer love stories that dont include such sad endings. (althugh is meant to be a happy one)

If you’re like me and have read a crap ton of paranormal romance over the years, you know that there is a limited quantity of truly original thinking in the category. Now, don’t get me wrong. There are a ton of authors out there who do a great job with the same old vampires, shifters, witches, and fae. I think that great writing can overcome pretty much any overdone trope. But for those who are looking for that rare super-original paranormal series, you don’t really have to look any farther than LE Wilson.
Now, Fae Hunter is not necessarily a stand alone. You can read it and you’ll understand what’s going on, but you won’t get a truly good picture of what Bitsy and Keegan have to work through unless you read Fae Encounter. (And you should read it. It’s no hardship. Trust me.) And boy oh boy, do Bitsy and Keegan have some stuff to work through.
As you can see from the blurb, werewolf shifter (and pack alpha) Keegan came up with the idea to hunt Bitsy’s kind, the fae, in order to use them as livestock (basically) in a Texas-style rodeo. (There’s that original thinking I was telling you about, eh? You don’t see faerie rodeos in Kresley Cole, Jeaniene Frost, or JR Ward reads, now do you?) He had his reasons, which are logical (if not totally reasonable or fair). Nothing he did was out of sheer hatred of her species or out of meanness. (Which doesn’t make his actions OK, but I digress…) Honestly, I wasn’t sure how the author was going to redeem Keegan after Fae Encounter, but my concern was unwarranted. He groveled and made amends with Bitsy quite nicely, which was lovely.
Bitsy is a pretty tough cookie, too. She doesn’t automatically fall on her back with her legs up in the air the first time Keegan apologizes. She makes him work for it, and I totally appreciated that about her.
All in all, this was a great (if unexpected) addition to a fun, action-packed, witty, sexy series that still manages to pack an emotional wallop a time or two. (And I say this was an “unexpected addition” because Keegan isn’t technically a Kincaid werewolf. But that’s not really important, because he was a very WELCOME additional character that I’ve been curious about since reading a tiny little scene that involved nothing more than Keegan looking longingly at Bitsy in Fae Encounter. Kind of reminded me of the totally-innocent-yet-totally-sexy interactions between Kylo Ren and Rey in The Last Jedi. But I digress…)
Long-story-short: Get your 1-clicking fingers ready. Feel free to start binge-reading the series at any time.
Full disclosure: We received an ARC from the author at no charge.
Okay, well, first of all, another annoying fmc that literally thinks the absolute worst of mmc, even when there are very logical reasons he needs to temporarily “abandon” her or whatever… although in this case, to be fair, she kind of has a little more reasoning behind it considering he literally imprisoned her and her family and facilitated their torture. So.
I mainly read this book to see how they figured out their relationship, given their seemingly insurmountable history. Well, turns out, they just kind of… don’t. He says sorry (fucking good, considering he, again, imprisoned and tortured her and her family), she says she won’t forgive him, then… they just kind of get together. Okay.
Not to mention he wins the wolf fight because she intervenes on his behalf. In fact, he won TWO fights because BOTH times a girl got in between him and the other guy. Lame. But it all worked out in the end, I guess, because we REALLY had to kill that other guy, because he imprisoned and tortured her and her family! But… wait… yeah.

Fae Hunter by L.E Wilson is book 3 in the Kincaid Werewolves series and a wonderful 5 star read. Keegan McRae is the alpha of his pack of werewolves, trying to keep his pack in line is hard so he organises rodeos that involve soul suckers, bad Fae, he has some regrets about the things he’s done as an alpha none more so that putting Bitsy and her family through the rodeos on his farm. He tries to make it up to her by helping her find her father, while trying to keep everything together for his pack. Bitsy is a Fae and after being held captive and forced to entertain a pack of werewolves she has a lot of anger towards them especially the Alpha, Keegan. Bitsy agrees to return and help Keegan find more Fae but really she just wants to find her father. When Bitsy is betrayed again she must learn who she can trust. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Um. Well. I enjoyed the sassiness of the main character. She brought on some bitchiness and I enjoy sass. The sassier/grumpy the better.
Not sure I'm loving the male lead. Everyone deserves a second chance but the Stockholm syndrome doesn't do it for me. And that's basically what's going on here.
Clearly the Alpha set up the whole thing and yea he's a dick. But it was way too "I'm never going to forgive you" and "I hate you"
But them half way thru with no actual redeeming qualities from him she's all love you blah blah blah. Like he left her there again for Pete's sake. So yea im torn on whether or not I want to start the next one. Lucien is all hell bent against their kind bc of what happened to his parents but idk. Maybe a break first then I'll continue.
This book was ok and it definitely kept me interested the whole way through. It was pretty short too. What got me was Bitty was upset, for great reason, but thawing out as time went on. Everything actually happened pretty fast, at one point it was mentioned that she was at the rodeo a few weeks prior and then the horrors repeated themselves.
I’d say it ended in a HFN because they got together but is Bitty actually going to stay with him in the place where she was tortured, literally the night before, by his own people. I don’t know and if she does then that’s a lifetime of constantly looking over your shoulder because clearly he doesn’t have the love and respect of his pack 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Keegan and Bitsy He's a Tx Alpha who gets what he wants, he needs, wants, and loves her. Why her of all creatures?? He had to let her go once, but he fights hard for what's his, and she is.... She hates all things Tx, she's Fae, and the damned wolf has her beloved necklace! She wants to find her Dad so a compromise is reached....but little does she know the war for her heart is on... I love everything this authoress writes, but I loved this book most of all and you will too! I received an ARC to read and review voluntarily at no cost to the author.
Keegan is filled with remorse and missing Bitsy. He comes up with a way to get her back by promising to help her find her father. She hates him with good reason but is also drawn to him. They make a trip to Merrick's pack who supposedly has information about her father. It's a trap and as Keegan tries to get them out of there his truck is blown up. They finally make it back to his pack only to find that Merrick has taken over. Anger and betrayal are real and it all ends with a fight to the death.
Ok, firstly let me say I struggled so hard to like Keegan. I did not like him at all. How could he let those things happen ...he is an alpha!! The struggle was real! Keegan redelemed himself! Totally and utterly redeemed himself! I love the spunk and attitude that Bitsy has, her strength and determination help make her a character to fall in love with. Keegan and Bitsy's story is one that will have your emotions all over place, mine were. I loved this book!!
Can you really fall for someone you despise? Can two werewolf packs that want the same land coexist? Will love overcome a fae rodeo? Will two alpha werewolves fight to the death over the sake of the rodeo and the Texas location of the pack? Will there truly be any happiness? Wilson does it again and this I'd one you won't be able to put down!
It I could give it negative number rating it would be -100. He LET her be tortured and now she loves him?!?! I know you have to suspend logic a bit, but I find it hard to believe
Keegan has a lot on his plate and feels he can't handle it all as Alpha, but his other choice is his own death. Bitsy has been battered and betrayed in the ring of Keegan's rodeo. Will she ever trust again?
Liked this book, wish it was longer. Received this book free through a promotion, so it was more the length of a prequel. If it was longer, there could have been more character development. Hopefully, all the characters will be in the next full length novel.
This book keeps you guessing all the way through trying to work out whether Keegan is a good guy or evil. Bitsy is a force to be reckoned with and she doesn't give in easily but these two eventually get to an understanding. I look forward to more of this series.
Personal Preference Rating 2.5/5 🌶🌶️🌶️ Audiobook (SribD) I felt like the characters has no chemistry and so any sexual tension the author was trying to build was totally absent. I like the characters as individuals and the subplot is interesting, but I probably won’t continue on in the series.
Still don't really care for some of the awful things Keegan allowed. The romance didn't zing for me because of that. It was just okay. But the saga doesn't feel complete.
