This is an enthralling read. Was it a police thriller? Was it sci-fi? Was it fantasy? Games is a little of all three, intricately woven together to form a genre of its own. I have never read anything quite like it. To mix three vastly different genres and have it work isn’t easy, but Slade pulls it off with ease. If I were forced to place this book in a single genre, I would say it’s a police thriller with a futuristic element that has sci-fi and fantasy elements.

Games isn’t a page turner; it’s a page burner. It’s an adrenaline-fueled rollercoaster thrill ride that will have you missing meals, a read that will keep you up past your bedtime, and a read that refuses to release its grip on you until you finish the tale. I’m one of those people who live to eat, but Games made me miss lunch and dinner. Maze, the lead character, is like one of those old-time gumshoes who take a beating and keep coming back for more until he takes out the villain.

Games is nonstop action with the tension building higher and higher until the very end, where the reader feels like someone trying to disarm a nuclear device that has 30 seconds left before detonation. All I can say about the way Games ends, without dropping spoilers, is that it had me struggling to breathe, just like my old martial arts sensei did when he got me in a choke hold.

I read and review an average of three thrillers every week, and I’m not exaggerating when I say that this was the most exciting story that I have read in a very long time. If you’re an adrenaline jockey, Games is a must-read for you.

Classic games like blackjack, roulette, and poker require skill in addition to luck. When choosing which platform to play on, it is also worth paying attention to the level of providers. You can learn about the best developers at https://slotiercasino.net/casino-providers/ Proper providers make the game fair and with good graphics, which makes it an unforgettable experience.

If you are into gaming, especially virtual reality, you will enjoy this novel. This author has carefully woven the pleasures and dangers together to show the impact of our electronic devices even globally, from the teenager to the kings palace. Pure intrigue with a bit of romance and some very apt comeuppance.

Games - Interesting ideas and themes but I found the book average with a definite need for editing. While the subject matter is interesting, the book is not intriguing or immersing. The last few chapters were disappointing, almost hurried. The potential for the evil usage from good intentions is not strong enough to convince me the author knows his subject matter. I was lucky enough to be given an ARC copy of this book.

The story is set in the real world as well as an online game. The mix of characters and backgrounds are really do work well together throughout the book and it’s made clear which parts of the story are set in the real world. The game used is easy to relate too as most people will have played a similar game.

I will admit it took me a couple of chapters to get into the plot but was I did I really enjoyed it.

It’s definitely a page turner that keeps you gripped to the story and leaves you wanting to know what will happen next. It’s a brilliant plot that made me think “ wow that really could happen in the future with how technology such as AI and VR is moving”
