It was a relief to find this book. Most of the very few books that describe a Jungian analysis leapfrog over mundane dreams, privileging only what Jung described as ‘big’ dreams, meaning those that tap into the collective unconscious and, usually, religious symbolism. Awakening Woman is a fascinating study of an everyday woman’s process of individuation. Each chapter begins with a short dream which is then discussed in turn by the analyst and the analysand.
