Rose and Edward's Story . . .
Rose Rosewater came from a long line of witches. In high school, she was with a large number of shifters. Turning themselves into a wolf or bear was quite acceptable. But if she turned someone into a frog, it was frowned upon. So going to a fraternity party at the University was an exciting change of luck. She was people-watching with her friend Jennifer when her skin started to tingle. A cute guy walked toward her and the tingling got stronger. He told her he had visions of her – was he flirting with her? But he explained he was a psychic. When he touched her, the air shimmered with magic and she thought “soulmate, mine”. He invited her to his hotel room and that had an “all-night-stand”. But when she woke, he was gone… and so was her magic! Will they find each other again? Can her magic be restored? Will her local coven be able to help? And can they find their HEA together or will Rose be unwilling to risk a further loss with him?

Sage, a witch and Edward, a psychic, meet on campus and spend an amazing night together. Unfortunately the next day there’s a misunderstanding and both think the other has left them. Not only do they each feel jilted but both have lost their powers. Four years later the misunderstanding is explained and they figure out how to be together and keep their special powers. A cute prequel to the Magical Midlife series. Sage and Edward are perfect together and their love can only grow from here. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Loses her virginity to him and her magic and runs away then 4 years later she runs into him again and is madly in love with him and they sleep together again and she loses her magic… again. Then they get married and the magic losing stops…. Fast forward to 10 years later and they have 3 daughters camomile, turmeric and peppermint. No im not kidding. Also sage’s sisters name is paprika lol I will not be continuing on in this series.

Beltane Magic by Rose Bak is a quick, straightforward prequel to the Magical Midlife series. The story follows Sage, a witch, and Edward, a psychic, who are drawn together after Edward experiences a vision revealing they’re destined mates. However, their physical connection disrupts their magical powers, forcing them to find a way to restore balance. While the premise is intriguing, both characters come across as overly simplistic, and Sage’s childish reactions to the central conflict make her difficult to connect with.

This is one of the cutest novellas I've ever read!

The author has given us a wonderful prequel to the stories of the Rosewater family. We are pulled into the lives of Sage, Witch, and Edward, Psychic. Their one night together does more than just solidify their connection.

Sage and Edward spend one steamy night together and their lives are changed forever. Beltane Magic is a quick, paranormal romance prequel to the Magical Midlife series. This well written story is a quick read but it is packed with steam, humor, romance, magic, and a great ending. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I liked how Sage and Edward knew each other was the one from the start. It takes a few years for them to find each other again and the way they solve the short circuiting is nice.

This was such a fun read. You will love Sage and her witchy ways. I love Edward for her, and these two definitely have some complicated situations, but you will fall in love with their perfect happily ever after. Rose always gives us the greatest characters and stories.

didn’t do it for me…
This book didn’t really do it for me. Sage was just a little too prickly and off putting. Could not connect with her which made me really not care whether he got with her or not.

Not really long enough to sink your teeth into; I would’ve appreciated more time spent getting to know the characters and their feelings about the whole soulmate magic situation, but it just didn’t happen.

Ugh this was so bad I almost puked. Rushed, cringe, no personality and the plot was meh. Even though the smut scene was good, I couldnt shake away the nausea from before and after those scenes, it just made things worse

I enjoyed this book. I thought it had a good balance of plot, spice and humor which can be challenging for an author to do with a short book. However, this was constructed nicely.

Edward sees a future with Sage (literally!) but after they get together, she disappears! He thinks all might be lost until a vision gives him what might be the answers he was looking for, in a fascinating town called Greyden. Meanwhile, Sage just wants to get away from the man who somehow sapped her magic during their night together. She returns home to her family's manor, disappointed her attempt to be a normal girl failed so spectacularly and scared at her magic having evaporated, however temporarily, from her veins. When she and Edward reconnect, the results are shocking- but this time, there might be a world where Sage gets to keep both parts of her heart and finally start living her life the way she's always dreamed.
What an interesting premise, blending the aesthetic of small quiet town with the intrigue of the supernatural - and with quite a bit of humor! This book is an introductory prequel to the Magical Midlife series and the Rosewater women - all of whom have magic in their veins and none who know how to perfect it, at least until they find their true love and hammer out the kinks!
