My name, believe it or not, is Pictarine Nebbie Jump. Call me Pic.
My happily ever after started with Mason’s first “Want me to kiss it better?” I never looked back.
Yes, things were going great, and I expected them to get even better.
Then I was accidentally eye-napped.
Yeah, you read that right. It’s complicated.
What happened is so bizarre, that because of me, a four-year-old is being hunted by a terrorist cell, and all she’s armed with is a child’s hope, her Barbie doll, and my brains.
We are alone because no one believes her, and no one can see me.
If I don’t do something, she’s going to disappear—permanently.
I'm an old soul that accomplished an unusual goal: publish 12 books in 12 months. I did it in 11 because I'm the white rabbit of time (so my children tell me).
I live in Idaho, work in another world, and thrive on the written word. By the time you read this, I'll working with new characters to turn upside down (or inside out), spin more plots to weave and plant subplots to harvest.
I have plans for many other books in various stages of development and must get cracking instead of writing this...are you still reading? Good. Keep it up - and thanks.
I found this story unique and interesting. I got a bit emotionally invested. Not in the slightest bit realistic, but it was creative and I appreciated that. It was something different and I would have given the book an extra star just for that, but the emotional investment and happy ending got the rating any way.
This was an adorable book. The beginning was a great intro to the main character showing she was a woman of some depth but had doubts about just how caring she really was after meeting her future husband Mason. Mason was a dream come true in every way for her. She obviously has a sense of humor and a lot patience to have waited 30 years to meet and marry Mr. Right.
The middle part of the story was the great adventure wherein Pic was injured in an accident and left in a coma only to find her consciousness transferred to other eyes - like on a name badge, a T-Shirt and even a Barbie doll. Pic manages to thwart a terrorist attack, witness a trucker saving the life of a pregnant stranger, save a 4 year old girl and her mother, and even help 3 abandoned kids before ending up back at her own home where she transfers back to her own body. Along the way she figures there a reason and she's meant to help someone and with the help of the 4 year old, she helps everyone find their own happy ending.
Like some old fashioned tall tale it sounds fantastic, and it was. But it was so well written that I couldn't put it down until it was finished. I highly recommend this book.
Quick, easy read. I thought this was going to be an awesome fantasy story. The main characters name is Pictarine or Pic. The story is told 100% from her point of view and she starts off by telling the reader that she’s in a coma.
The story gets a little weird around chapter 3 or 4 when she leaves her body but her spirit Is only able to travel through the eyes of inanimate objects, like the eyes on a T-shirt or a doll. She cannot talk when she’s traveling on someone’s T-shirt but she can talk when she’s traveling as a Barbie doll.
I did enjoy the story but I couldn’t get over the fact that the author chose to have her travel in T-shirts or as a Barbie doll. The story did have a happy ending.
I've never read a book like this; it's clever, original, and fast-paced once you get to the terrorist plot. In all honesty, I was tempted to put it down at the beginning due to all the boot descriptions and romance, but I'm so glad I stuck with it. I loved all the characters--especially Emma and her Barbie doll. I loved how Pic grows in her ability to empathize with others and truly show compassion. I especially loved how the author was able to weave connections between all the characters. This novel reminds me of John Donne's famous quote "No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee.”
This was such an interesting and different story. I enjoyed every minute of reading it. The jumping around for different POV's didn't bother me as it did some reviewers because it was logical and made sense. I loved all the quirky and different characters except of course, the bad guys. The premise was so different and fresh. The HEA was exactly right for this story and I enjoyed all convoluted ways it took to get there. I would wholeheartedly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a "Love Inspired Romance Suspense Thriller" with a splash of Fantasy/Paranormal thrown in.
What a ride! Eyenapping, really? What an imaginative concept! I thoroughly enjoyed Pic’s and Mason’s personalities and characteristics, faithful to each other, loving & kind to everyone no matter their circumstances, and positive thinking are just some that top the list. I loved how Mason seemed to always know the sweetest words to say to Pic. I loved Pic’s positive recognition of the goodness she saw in others. I loved little Emma, full of goodness and life! This was a very creative and imaginative story filled with twists and turns and family and friend connections, not coincidences, which led to an extremely satisfying conclusion.
I have no words. So. Dang. WEIRD!!!!! I felt like the first 20% was just spewing words as fast as possible. I was really irritated with it. Then it got to the interesting part which was.....I don't even know. It was.....seriously. No words. Weird. Weird. Weird. It was very wordy so I did skip a lot but the weirdness of it. Weird. Weird. Weird. And I have no idea what to rate this. So strange. The more I think about it the more ridiculous it is!!!
This was an exciting adventure that was unique-I read a lot of books and I haven't encountered a story quite like this before. There's a strong fantasy element you might say, but it's really a story of miracles and it's a story about all kinds of love. Highly recommend. :)
Very original, fast-paced, good characters who show love, loyalty, inventiveness, and great individualization. Looking forward to reading more. Also appreciate the clean language
Sweet and heartwarming, though I thought at first this was just another rambling romance story. Loved the characters, and the plot, and the storytelling. Will definitely get more from this author.
Personally, I loved the romantic beginning. It helped me get a flavor for Pic, Dar, and Mason. As for the rest of it - Holy cow! Talk about a page turner! I stayed up really late to finish this! I couldn't put it down! I was thrown into one heart pumping chase to another! Poor little Emma and her friends! Geez! I REALLY wanted to pound the bad guy! And I couldn't help but feel sorry for Pic who was trapped in the head of a Barbie Doll, trying to help the children out! Strange? You might say that, but the writer makes it believable! You won't be sorry you picked up this book and you'll still be thinking about it after you finish the ride.
I started this book a little warily. I thought it was just some sappy romance. But, boy, was I wrong! It turned into a great adventure with twists and turns that kept me reading until the end. I read the book in one afternoon! Really fun! There were a couple of editing problems that annoyed me. Like using, "yea" for "yeah." and misuse of "there." But nothing that can't be fixed. A really fun, quick read!
I liked this story. It had some very interesting twists and turns. It was kind of fun to see how the author ended up resolving all of the crazy things that happened in the book.
Started off interesting to me, but I'll admit that the majority of the book didn't hold my interest. I speed read most of it just to get to the end as quickly as I could trying to get resolution.
