Amarie stays bringing the heat with each book she writes.
Bound for you is the 4th installment of the MacKenzie’s crime family, it’s darker and each sex scene set my kindle on fire.
It was a beauty to see too strong willed characters, who butt heads and fought tooth and nail fall in love with each other. The way I see it, both Ava and Kieran needed each other to fully heal.
LOL can we take a moment to think about how psychotic Kieran is ??? (Lol I love it ), I think he might be Simeon’s kindred spirit (from the book Lawless). Ava is the epitome of strength but we also saw that she’s human and she is allowed to have a weak point in life.
As usual I’m happy when the clan is together, celebrating each other, having each other’s back and just growing together as a clan. I’m very excited to see what more is in store for us.
I highly recommended this book/series, don’t sleep on this one guys, trust me

Found myself rereading this book 3 times. This is my favorite book of the crime family

This quote is the intro to this book, and Wow what a warning. I figure since the author gave this warning, ( I really appreciate this warning by the way ) I thought I'll quote it for readers to see as well.
Even though I don't care really too deeply for BDSM, especially with the whipping part of it, I debated on reading this book. But I really want to read about Kieran story I decided to read it and ignore the parts that I don't care for. But good thing this story BDSM doesn't include whipping and its BDSM was one I actually really enjoy.
I'm extremely happy that I went and read this book. The BDSM that is included in this is the kind that I like. So it made it even more enjoyable. Especially when our Female Lead, Ava, is a fighter.
Introducing Our Main Characters
Kieran is as bad as they come. With a reputation for not taking any BS. Shoot/Kill First, ask questions later he is one man you don't want to cross. Or have on the opposite team. Though he is someone deadly, once he is loyal to you, he is loyal to the end.
Kieran parents are dead and the only one left from his family is his uncle, and younger sister. Which he will die and kill to protect, especially his younger sister. She is someone who he refuse to take a chance on anyone finding out about her.
But that isn't the only issues that Kieran has to deal with. He is also fighting against his guilt, and his mother's ghost haunting him. But there is one being that he is willing and more then happy to deal with and that is Ava. With her instinct to fight until her last breath, and not accepting any BS from him or anyone else. Kieran finds himself enthralled by her, and with her flighty ways, nicknames her Little Bird.
Ava is one Chica who literally had to fight her way through life. She has dealt with so much in her life that your heart literally breaks for her. But she is a fighter, so much so that you don't want to cross her. She also carries some demons and ghost with her as well.
The way that these two meet are under some extremely dark times in their lives. They were both at a point of giving up their lives, for their own personal reasons. But once their path cross into one another, fate had different plan for the two.
One where Kieran not only pulls her from death grips, but then ends up choking her.... Yes Kieran in his finest, choking his future woman.
Lol, I literally shook my head at this, but don't think Ava is a wilting flower who just accepted that. No. No. Not our female Lead Ava.
Keiran Has met his match & her name is Ava
"I smooth the devious grin from my face as the door to the cockpit opens. The idiota who pretended to befriend then chocked me is in for a rude awakening. Just wait. My abductor has met his match.".....
"Ava yanks away and takes off at a full sprint, her shapely legs extending farther than I thought possible.
'Oh,' I groan, letting my head drop, the faint sun rays kissing it softly. I should probably go after her before she gets attacked. 'But she's brought this on herself.'
Approximately twenty yards from disappearing into the forest, Ava's retreat stop abruptly. Men, my men, converge on her from a radius of half a mile out. Pistols, shotguns. semi-automatics are drawn.
My little birdie suffers a glance over her shoulder, and my cold dead hearts swells. It's nice to be needed. Casually, I swagger over.
'Let's grab a pint, woman.'
She doesn't take kindly to my friendly demeanor.
Well, I'm not one for smiling all the time. I crack my neck and proceed. 'You have three choices. Order those bonny legs to walk to the pub-eat,'
I check off each box with a snarled growl, 'or my men drag your arse to my place-no food. Or lastly, and just as inevitable with or without your consent, these hands-'
She punches me in the jaw.
This scene is my top favorite of scenes in this book. I couldn't stop laughing when she hit him. I mean if your going to go out, why not go out with a bang. And Kieran, this guy, he is someone after my very own heart. When I say him and Ava was meant to be together I truly mean that.
There is so many other areas in the book that you will find yourself laughing. And the changes these two goes through will leave you smiling.
Final Thoughts
I recommend this book to anyone that wants a laugh and who overall just wants a good book to read. Out of the MacKenzie Crime Family, Kieran & Ava's book is my favorite.
While reading this book for the 2nd and 3rd time I found myself listening to a song call, Dynasy by Miia (Male Version ). This song goes really well with this book and I highly recommend you listen to this song while reading the book. Or if you choose to read it again then maybe on your second round.
I can't wait to get my hands on River and Tatum book. I'm so sad that it's not coming out soon, but as soon as it's out I'm snatching it up with my greedy hands. lol I'm counting down on their book, the little snip it Amarie Avant left us, has me excited for more.

My Opinion:
'Bound For You' was quite an excellent audio read that keep me up late in the night, not wanting to put it down until the end [over eight hours]. Was it packed with lots of drama, secrets, and, oh yes, a hot and steamy romance? Yes, yes, and yes, it was loaded. The two narrators...Aure Nash and JT Farrell were outstanding with their deliverance of the story that featured Ava and Kieran. The author did an enormous job of giving the readers a good read about 'a stand-alone dark, Irish Mafia romance.' Be prepared for a long story, but you have the whole story and NO extended epilogues at the end!
Indeed the MeKenzies and McFalands are not to be played in this story! This series was one of the best ones!
What all poor Ava had gone through was quite a trip with her ex, but will Kieran still be there for her in the end? Also, Kieran had some demons too! So, will there be an Ava and Kieran with a HEA, and if so, what did they have to do to be able to get to that point?
This is where I say you will have to listen to the story or pick up this good read to see how well this author will bring it all to a head by the end.
Was this a dark story where 'extreme therapy' was needed, and let's not leave out a story with many triggers? Well, yes, but all and all, the story comes out... So I will stop here and say pick up and listen or read this good novel and see for yourself how well this author delivers it to the readers.

This was written pretty well, but it was too long and some plot aspects seems to be introduced in the last 30% of the book. I also never felt the chemistry between the two characters and the back and forth “can i? I can’t” got annoying really fast.
The Gaelic terms were italicized, so it made it look as though they’re were meant to be emphasized and that made 100% of Kieran’s dialogue a bit awkward to read. Like “I feck hard”, which was really awkward. The way the exclamations were written “noooo” for example, weren’t something I’m used to seeing outside fanfic. And I don’t like it in fanfic either.
The sex scenes weren’t my cup of tea. I personally am not into sex scenes that seem more painful than enjoyable and they just never felt connected. Each time they’d hook up, Ava would change her mind immediately after like she forgot the last few seconds. I saw a comment somewhere that this was a woman’s kidnapping fantasy but it certainly wasn’t mine. That being said, after the first one wasn’t my thing, I decided to just base my rating on whether I thought the writer accomplished their goal.
The only part of this story I found somewhat interesting was Ava’s backstory and it’s dragged out so painfully that I, like Kieran, got annoyed. It really felt like the Arika thing was a last minute addition. That whole moment where she accepts Kieran’s “punishment” was annoying considering she was one of the only protags I’ve read in stories like that that didn’t just rollover for the ML immediately.

I love the action, drama and romance in MacKenzie series and Kieran's story does not disappoint. It's just as action packed and steamy as the others with a touch of some 'lifestyle' elements. Kieran and Ava first meet on a night both are on a ledge, contemplating life. Kieran thinks he's saving Ava and she believes herself to be held captive. Let the fun begin! These two have so much to learn about each other but one thing they know, there's an unexplained spark they can't fight. Lust comes in many forms of expression and Kieran's tastes are quite naughty. It's not a foreign concept to Ava but she's not into being literally swept away and bonded to her possessive Irishman. There is a great tug of war, of wills mostly their inner demons keeping them apart, I mean these two have some real issues. But let me tell you, their very steamy connection eventually bring them closer. I enjoyed going on Kieran and Ava's journey and as a hopeless romantic was thrilled about the reunion/happy ending!!

Not My Cup of Tea
As an avid fan of anything Amarie Avant, I hate to say that I was not so much a fan of "Bound For You." In reading this novel, I felt as if I was in a dark room and the lightbulb never came on. I understood that Kieran took Ava against her will (while she was attempting to jump off of a hotel ledge) and claimed her as his own because in doing that, he felt like he was saving himself. Some of the conversations, however, just left me confused and in the dark. It was hard to figure out what was going on. I also don't get down with the "hog-tying me up and beating my a** with a riding crop until I can't sit down." After all of the physical, verbal and psychological abuse Ava had endured, that should have been the last thing she was drawn to. I love Amarie (that's the only reason the book got three stars), but this just wasn't my cup of tea! I guess that's why this is a dark romance. Please shake some more MacKinzies out of the bushes!

Bounded Forever
Ava and Kieran too broken and damaged soul that needed to be saved by each other.. this whole series has been my blowing and a roller coaster ride as well, Ava was on the edge of ended it all bc of what her ex did to her and the child that is gone.. so hurt, lost and wanted revenge all in one.. Kieran was also thinking the save thing but changed his mind when he saw Ava and saved her.. this book isn’t for the faint hearted if you are trigger by certain things.. I love this book and this one out of the series is my favorite one. I’m trying not to give too many things away bc it’s a lot of secrets and eye opener as well that made me understand both characters. You can call Kieran anti-hero lol but those scenes yessss hunti!!!! Congratulations Mrs. Avant on another hit and I can’t wait for more in this series..

Hmm
Keiran McFarlane has some demons he needs to get past, but he sees something in Ava that makes him steal her away to Scotland. Ava’s demons don’t take that lightly.
This one took a while to get into, but I got there eventually. It’s not the hot and sexy that was the last two books, but more action-drama of the first. Keiran and Ava were almost too stubborn for me to like, but this was a very unusual situation.
I … definitely could read about book in this series. I’m definitely going to read another spinoff. This one wasn’t a hit with me, but it wasn’t a total miss. Avant really does still have me in a chokehold.
If the Dark Captive thing really is something you’re into, then I’d definitely recommend this one.
Keiran McFarlane has some demons he needs to get past, but he sees something in Ava that makes him steal her away to Scotland. Ava’s demons don’t take that lightly.
This one took a while to get into, but I got there eventually. It’s not the hot and sexy that was the last two books, but more action-drama of the first. Keiran and Ava were almost too stubborn for me to like, but this was a very unusual situation.
I … definitely could read about book in this series. I’m definitely going to read another spinoff. This one wasn’t a hit with me, but it wasn’t a total miss. Avant really does still have me in a chokehold.
If the Dark Captive thing really is something you’re into, then I’d definitely recommend this one.

I loved this book, been waiting for it to come out. It is action packed but because of subject material is not for the faint of heart. This story tugged at me from several different angles. The chemistry between the two main characters is off the chain and can't be ignored. These two characters have demons that must be confronted and in doing so Amarie Avant made this story a page turner. If you want action, angst (the good kind) and aren't triggered by certain things then this book is for you. This was definitely a page turner and a re-read for me because you get to see the true nature of both characters and you won't forget what they had to do through get to become a couple.

I am hooked on this series
I don't know why I like this series. I'm not into dark romance. I even wrote a review on the last book because I found it so disturbing. This author has me hooked. Just when I think the books can't get any darker, I'm wrong. I can't describe the books verbally. I will say that they deserve the disclosure. They will definitely make you feel some kind of way. These books are not for the faint of heart. The characters are broken and volatile. Lots of violence and darker dominant sex. I must be disturbed because I couldn't put it down. I hope this is not the end of the Mackenzie Crime Family.

I love this book
It was raw but I felt it could have been longer for I wanted more about how she go away from her ex husband and why was he in the alley that night he save her I felt some things was missing. I was still confuse about what Alana did was he lawyer or a criminal mob boss. How did his family not know he was treating her bad. But still this was a good book. Yes please keep going you building a great story for all the boys an showing that they fall for women with fire.👑👑 you rock as a writer.

I loved it. I don't know who my favorite is anymore because I love them all. My heart broke for Ava. When I found out what Anon did purposely even after all the mess he put her through, the blade wasn't good enough. He should have been taken to the basement. When Keiran walked in the hotel room and misunderstood the situation, I was praying he let her explain before he did something he'd regret for life. I'm glad they got past their hurdles and started their own lil family.💛💛

But little did both of them know , they were both falling for each other. Ava couldn't let herself go down that rabbit hole until Adnan paid for his crime. I loved how the story ended. Ava gets everything she needed with her new clan and Kieran got his little bird to feather their nest.

If you've read any of her previous books you know there are triggers galore and this is "grown-up " material, but you will get your happy ending and satisfying action(wink). It was a good book it kind of started off slow Eva was getting on my nerves in the beginning of the book but I guess She had her own situation that she was dealing with and he had his own situation as well and that's the book progress everything started coming together and you are able to understand both stories This is a Beautiful story glad I read it Can't wait for the next book From Amarie.

I absolutely hated this book. Took too long to tell the story..I get the darkness and trauma the writer was conveying but I could not get into Ava's character at all and the lead guy said "feck" so much I wanted to slit my wrist. It got so bad I skipped to the last chapter just to end the hell I was enduring and it was still bad. I usually love Avant's novels but this did not so her justice. IMHO.

I think Kieran is my favorite book out of the series. He can kidnap me and put it on me any day. I will help him tie me up. As usual Ms. Avant’s books are hot enough to start a 3 alarm fire. So ladies get some wine and hold on to your edges because Ava and Kieran will snatch them off. It’s told in different points of view, no cheating, no cliffhanger and a hea. I highly recommend this book.

The very beginning of the book seemed so ridiculous and far fetched. As I reluctantly continued to read I found myself quickly getting into the book. I noted that it was a "dark captive' romance a few times, lol, and it made sense. I found the book to have a lot of depth and I loved the ending. Cam's story is still my fave and this is one is tied with Leith's story.

This kidnap romance story was very cringe worthy for the first half or so... She went from one bad thing after the other only for her to be treated like she's worthless. The things kiern does to her was no better than the ex husband. For that reason I'm giving it a 3. I enjoyed this series, but this book was not my cup of tea. Love the way this author writes though.

Bound For You...
MacKenzie Crime Family. Keirnan and Ava. I liked this book way more than I thought I would. Extremely steamy and oh so tingle worthy. It's not my cup of tea but it's written really well. High angst, gut wrenching drama and enough WTF to have you guessing til the end.

Dark romance!
Albeit I enjoyed this book, it was not as exciting as the previous books. I understand the need to develop the personality and connection between the characters, I did not see the need to devote over half the book to this. Still worth the read.

A Little Too Dark....
This book was a little too dark for my personal taste. Some parts was a little hard to follow. I like Ms Avant's books, but this one wasn't a miss , but for me hopefully the next one will do it for me
