OK, that was a really delightful short read. No angst, no misunderstandings, no sex, just a great little love story. Aaaand, it WASN’T written in the first person, like 99% of all witchy stories are. And they usually have a terrible narrator, too. This narrator was really good.
This was about witch Glenda Goode who brought two people together through time. First Beth went back to 1899 and met Edward, several times, and then Edward came forward to 2016 to be with Beth.
If you want to know if they stayed in her time or went back to his you’ll have to read the novella. I really wish this had been a full novel, it was that good.
HOWEVER, I won’t be listening to the next one in the series because Ghostly Love has 166 pages and the price has been raised to $7.49 and paying that much for 166 pages is never going to happen. Not when this one cost $1.99.
As to the narration: I’d never heard of Sonja Field before but she did a great job on the voices and the emotions. I would definitely listen to her again. She didn’t give Edward a deep voice but she gave him a really nice one.
