In a word, AMAZING! I love getting the inside info on my favorite characters and Ms. Maze delivers. Each chapter/scene fills in the details on things hinted at in Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider. While Rabbit is complete without these details, and an excellent book, the depths revealed in this companion book tie everything together so well and give us those "aha" moments. Javier is my favorite supporting character in Rabbit and we get to know him so much better in Loose Rabbits. His reactions and changes make so much sense with the backstory now divulged. We also begin to understand the society of the Rakum with this book as we take peaks into the lives of other characters and learn how their personalities developed. If you loved Rabbit, you MUST have Loose Rabbits. And if you didn't love Rabbit, read it again because you missed something the first time around!

Those who have read and loved Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider will absolutely flip over the Loose Rabbits of the Rabbit Trilogy.

All of the delicious tidbits that didn't fit into the novel are offered here on a silver platter for those with the stomach for just a tad more Rabbit. Think "deleted scenes" where you sneak a peek into the lives of these intriguing vampire-like Rakum, their blood donating Cows, and the mortal but spiritually deadly Beth Rider.

I am very excited to share this with you! For the month of November, 2010, I will give away this book with every copy of Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider sold. Please see my website for details! http://www.ellencmaze.com/online-stor...

Won this through the Goodreads Giveaways.

An entertaining and titillating collection of twenty short stories that add to the Rabbit Trilogy books. Although I haven't read any of the other Rabbit books, this book was still very enjoyable and a fantastic read that explains where and how each story relates to the main Rabbit series. The characters obviously all have a lot more to them than these stories explain but you are given just enough to getting your imagination and interest going and as each story stands alone well it doesn't matter if you haven't read the other books (obviously I'm sure it makes it even more enjoyable if you have though). My only slight criticism is the ever increasing role that religion was given as the stories progressed, which took away from the story itself a little as it felt that there was a slight ulterior motive behind the stories, namely to get the author's religious views put to the reader rather than to entertain and provide an enjoyable story (I may be being a little harsh, but that's how it felt when I read the book, but it could just be me). This was still a very enjoyable collection of tales but, for me, the fact that a specific religion not only played a large role in the story but became the only thing that could 'save' the Rakum race spoiled it a little for me, especially as I didn't expect that aspect of the stories at all.

This is a little gem for all "Rabbit Chasers".

Loose Rabbits of the Rabbit Trilogy, is a book of 20 short stories that wrap up little loose ends and questions you might be left with after reading Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider and Rabbit Legacy like, what happened to Michael and Beth after the Last Assembly? There are stories about some of my other favourite Rakum too, like Javier, David Walker, Jesse Cherrie and Canaan.

Although these are shorts they are written just as wonderfully as anything Ellen C. Maze writes.

Whenever I finish one of Ellen's books I always feel like I've been on a wild ride.
