The storm hasn’t let up. There’s nothing the young couple June and Carson can do but bide their time and wait it out.
That means it’s time for another strange tale. The one they settle on is called “Jelly,” and it's about a young college man returning home for holiday break. While there, he discovers a strange alien presence hiding in his childhood treehouse. Is it friendly? Or is it dangerous?
June and Carson will have to turn the pages to find out.
But as the reading goes on, tempers between the two young lovers flare. And in the shadows, a mysterious figure watches them, waiting for the perfect moment to announce its presence.
Flint Maxwell was born and raised in Northeast Ohio and still lives there today with his beautiful wife and daughter, and their four furry best friends.
He primarily writes horror fiction, but has been known to dabble in many different genres.
If you want a quick scare, this is a good book. It doesn't take long to read and is weird and scary enough to make you wonder which direction you should face while you're trying to fall asleep. Back to the door or window? (Speaking from experience.)

Dam you, Flint Maxwell. (My Kindle wouldn't let me end dam with a "D".!
I'm giving this work 4 stars because it left me knowing that it might be months or even longer before the author gives us another installment. First JELLY. It was okay. Pretty good in fact, but as Maxwell indicated in notes, my main interest was Carson and June. I liked all the characters, including the ones in JELLY. All well written. The story was imaginative. At first, I thought the ending kind of sucked, but Carson pointed out the presence of the scribe, which changed the ending as I saw it. Nice. I was kind of torn about the happenings in the cabin. Sort of disappointed in the characters developing relationship. It looks like the author has something more in mind for the couple. Unfortunately, there is nothing to do but wait and wait I shall. I don't know if Flint Maxwell will ever be my favorite author, but he's absolutely one of the most anticipated. While I wait, he has written other books....hmmm.
I loved the first book, but this one didn’t land the same way for me. The premise had potential, but the story never fully pulled me in. I made it through, yet it felt like a bit of a struggle compared to the strong start of the series. Still, fans of the world might want to check it out for continuity.
I loved the story they read this time . it made me laugh a few times and smile a lot. Loved the two main characters as well. Writing was great . can't wait to see how book three turns out.
Another trip back to 'The Cabin of Nowhere', and while I didn't like it as much as the previous book 'Dandelion', it was still a pretty good read. I found the wraparound story the more interesting part this time and definitely look forward to finding out more in any future installments. Everything is well written, and I really do like the author's writing style. So, if you like 'E.T' but are looking for a more grown-up version, then you will want to check this out. 3.5⭐️
