Meg Walton a witch that is known only to her family as it's her mothers wishes. She owns a donut shop in Enchanted Bay. Detective Conner Smith is her detective boyfriend and she will do anything to keep him safe, even if she had to let it out she was a witch. Funny she has a talking cat. I love the believable and interesting characters. The narration maintains your interest. The focus is on her mom in this book. She finds the murderer right at the end of book. I recommend this book.

Hey look! We finally have a legitimate reason for Meg to be witch. Too bad there are so many murders in this small town though.

Lainie Pahos does a great job narrating.

**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.**

Meg walton is a witch who owns the Enchanted donut shop. Her special ingredient is magic....you can eat them and not gain any weight!! Her sexy detective boyfriend is Connor. But he doesn't know that Meg is a witch...no problem there right? When she decides she has to help him find a murderer, she has to use her magic without letting him know what she is. Good thing he can't hear Megs cat talk to her. Oh by the way,her cat just happens to be her grandmother..Lol This is a very good and fun story that is written well and easy to read.

A well-done whodunit. Meg's mom has just lost a new friend, Hope. And her mom insists that Meg investigate. She and Connor first have to dig up suspects. Then the process of interrogating them proceeds. The solution was uncertain until the final reveal.

Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Funny. Romantic. Scary. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Whimsical. Wonderful characters.

I enjoy this series of books. Even though the main character is a witch, she mainly uses her intellect and intuition to solve murders. In this book, Meg is sure that her close friend hasn't committed suicide even though her death has been ruled as a suicide by the police. Meg eventually solves the murder of her friend, this time on her own (without the help of her detective boyfriend) since she's not in Enchanted Bay.

I literally couldn’t remember the protagonist’s name 5 minutes after reading the book, because she’s a Karen, if there ever was one. In WHAT world do you walk up to adults, one of whom is a murderer, with no authority and demand they not only answer to you, but tell you they murdered someone.

I cannot.

A Riddle of a Murder (The Witches of Enchanted Bay #5) by Amelia Morgan was a great read. Enchanted Bay has seen increased murder cases. This time the close friend of Meg's mother is found murdered. This was another great read with Meg and Connor searching for the murderer.

Format: audiobook
Narrator: Lainie Pahos

This narrator has a pleasant voice and delivery making these stories an enjoyable listen.

This is a nice and enjoyable story but again there are two repeated lines that editing should have picked up.

3.75 this one I also thought it was between 2 people. I’m not sure if I am getting better or they are a bit predictable. Either way I felt sad for Meg’s mom losing her friend. It would have been fun to see her character in the book a little more.

No Hope left!

The police believe it was a burglary gone wrong but Meg is convinced her mother’s dear friend was murdered. It may take magic, but Meg will do what it takes to prove the police wrong and bring a killer to justice.

I am enjoying this cozy mystery series. There is humor, romance, and magic; all of my favorite cozy elements. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

Meg Walton manages a Donut shop in her Northern California Home town of Enchanted Bay She is also a Secret Witch. Just as she thinks her investigating days are over Murder once again strikes a little to close to home this time , the victim was one of her Mother's closest friends. Hope Riddle. The Police rule that Hope's death is a burglary gone wrong. Meg doesn't believe it and sets out to catch Hope's real killer and bring him or her to justice. I love this series each book is a stand alone. I enjoy the romance plus mystery aspect in each book.

This is another good read in the series. Some of the characters are the same in each book, like her feline speaking grandmother, who has passed on, but is still an active part of the family. Conner Smith her boyfriend detective is more accepting of Meg's sleuth abilities with each book. I look forward to the next book.

A bungled burglary or a deadly motive

Awesome! When Meg's mother is rocked by the death of a close friend, in what is termed a burglary gone wrong, Meg decides to investigate to put her mother's mind at ease. What they discover will rock their community. Another great read in the series.

So this series just didn't hold my interest. I really felt like it was the same story over and over with just a couple names changed. I'm glad it was only .99$.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
