Unlike other shape-shifters, Steffi Anbruzzen can take any biological shape. When she loses this ability, the Organization to Assist, Support, and Inform Shape-shifters (OASIS) seizes the opportunity to eliminate her fearsome power by appointing a sexy Canadian werewolf ostensibly to help her but really to distract her until her window for recovery closes.
The more Sawyer Montaigne comes to know Steffi, the more he desires her and wants to support her. A reformed playboy, he must mate with a female werewolf or be ostracized by the Montaigne pack.
Having already lost her ability to shift, will Steffi now lose her heart to someone who has sworn to betray her, or will Sawyer's attraction to Steffi extinguish his loyalty to OASIS and his pack?
I've read a LOT of shifter novels, but this one covers new ground - and sets up a series perfectly! Steffi is a shifter above shifters; able to take any biological shape. When she misfires and loses her powers, an organization set up to help shifters steps in - by assigning her a VERY sexy Canadian werewolf to help!
There's plenty of travel in this book, wonderfully written so much that I thought I was in Montreal! (and given I was born there, that's quite a feat!)
I can't wait for the next in the series - if you're looking for a shifter series with a different twist, check this out!!!
Zanna Archer sets the bar high in paranormal romance with Shiftless in Sheboygan, the first book in the Shapesisters series. When shape-shifter Anomaly Steffi Anbruzzen loses her ability to shift, the specialized organization designated to help shifters, OASIS, sends Sawyer Montaigne, a wealthy, hot Canadian werewolf to help recover her ability. Though Sawyers intentions aren’t at first genuine, he falls in love with Steffi and realizes she is truly a one-of-a-kind specimen—one he cannot have because of the strict rules he abides by as a werewolf, loup-garou. As the heat builds between Sawyer and Steffi, Sawyer’s family mounts obstacles to prevent the couple from falling in love. Shiftless in Sheboygan is packed with desire, romance, lies, intrigue, and deceit, and it does not disappoint. I loved the characters, their personalities, their struggles, their directness. The dialogue flows smoothly with a little French sprinkled in. Zanna Archer writes with a special flair that suits the story perfectly. The settings are described so fully, I felt like I was immersed in the scenes with the characters. Archer’s imagination for paranormal writing is a special gift, one The Seer in her story might even appreciate. (Can’t wait to see how that storyline develops in the series). Shiftless in Sheboygan is beautifully developed and readers will be howling at the satisfying ending. I can’t wait to read more books about Steffi and her Shape-sisters!
A superb book I simply couldn’t stop reading. This is the story about Stef and Sawyer. Two shifters doing best they can. Steffi can be anything she wants *when it works*. Sawyer works for OASIS and is a wolf of a guy. The pairing of Steffi and Sawyer is amazing, and they work so great together.
From page one, you just can't put it down. Realistically presented and original in so many ways. I have been told by shifter romance experts that there has never been a shifter like Steffi. It was so cool to read this book and now I can't wait for book two. Call me an uber fan of this author.
If you are a lover of shifter books that have the romantic vibe, then buy this book. If you like a brilliant book that keeps you on the edge of your seat ‘til the end, then buy this book. A simply amazing book I can't recommend enough.
What a superb book for younger readers! I loved the pictures/illustrations in this book. And I love the story overall. Maggie is a 7th grader who has always been in the shadow of her sister. And as with all middle school aged children, everything is changing. People are getting crushes on other kids, different activities are keeping Maggie and her friends apart too! Then there is the track team that Maggie desperately wants to be a part of and also she may have her own crush;0 This book is all about those middle school years and how they went and continue to go for all of us in our youth. There are so many funny points of this book and also there are some wonderful family values in this book as well! I hope that Nina, the author, continues to write more Maggie Diaz books in the future because I want to see what happens to Maggie, Zoey, Julian, Eddie, and the whole Diaz family too!
A cute, steamy romantic romp through the world of shifters. A tough outcast woman being helped by the sexy Canadian werewolf. Plenty of sexual tension and twists and turns. Draw out your inner lion in the pages of this lovely burn!
Fun I don’t usually read paranormal or romance novels, but this was a gift. I really enjoyed the book for its good writing, interesting characters and plot. I found it fun to read.
