This is why I hate when people gift me books. This wasn't good. If you're at all familiar with personal/self development, you'll get nothing new here. It's mostly a jumbled collation of insights and takeaways from other, more decorated authors. I struggled to get through it.
"No matter what you do or how hard you try, you can never predict what life has in store for you. It is an uncontrollable force that will break you if you let it."
The author created an indelible mark on my heart and soul.
An absolute must read for anyone over the age of 16.
FULL DISCLOSURE: I listened to this book from audible.com, and I highly recommend you do the same. I read nonstop, however, this book was recommended I listen... and I know why.
Absolutely takes the # 1 slot for books involving neuroscience and/or self-help
I did have to pause the book quite a few times because of the emotional and physical reaction I had to many of Mr. Nanavati‘s explanations. In addition to many layman’s explanations, the author notes MANY highly respected scientists in a way that scholars would enjoy and understand.
This isn’t my best writing or review but I am so emotionally drained and revived at the same time that I do not desire to edit this review and or proofread it. My apologies...
Great resource. The author's extensive research, examples, metaphors definitely illustrated the message really well. I've been taking notes as I go along, and I'll probably go through this book a few more times. There are lot of gems in this one.
Fear transformed to Nirvana - that's Fearvana and you too can experience it. You too can experience health, wealth and happiness by making fear your friend and even running towards it. Karen Briscoe, author and podcast 5 Minute Success
I highly recommend this book to anyone struggling. It is simple, concise, and distills a ton of information into actionable advice.
I depressed several years prior to reading it. I could not initially find a cause (I now believe it was severe burnout) and did not know what to do. When I run out of ideas, I consume information for more. I read relentlessly. By the time I found this book I had read much, found ideas that helped me along the way and had long been at the point of (largely) keeping my head just above the water line. As I read Fearvana, I was struck by how many of the same books we had read. And even more surprised by Akshay’s break down and condensing of the information. His mind seems to work very differently than mine. He took all of that information and systematized it. And his systems work!!! They are simple and powerful techniques of ordering the mind and world to harness emotion, energy and focus to reach goals. Akshay gives actionable advice for living day to day, better and better.
I was so moved and benefitted by this book and his techniques that I also took one of his courses. It further solidified a system and structure that I found extremely beneficial and utilized throughout a very challenging time. I still use many of his methods today! I would have never come up with these ideas on my own, despite having consumed much of the same information. Again, I highly recommend this book to anyone struggling. There is something and likely many things in it that will help.
I am super grateful to Akshay. That he has taken the time to share his knowledge and unique, wonderful and beneficial way of breaking down the world. Truly, truly, thank you, Akshay. You helped me focus in to find my path! And you inspire me still. 🙏

Fearvana has a very unique perspective on fear and how we need to utilize it to heal and to reach our full potential.
The whole book is very enlightening and interesting.
If you're struggling with any negative mental health issues, addiction, or trauma this book provides a pathway way to health, happiness and power to use your fear to improve all aspects of your life.
Akshay's personal struggles and perspective of fear is unlike anything else out there.
I highly recommend this book as a new way to view and use fear to your benefit and watch your life turn around with the power of your own thinking.
Loved this book. It wasn't a subject, at first, for myself, but to provide information for my coaching clients. But before I could recommend it as additional reading material, I needed to read it myself. The information was EXTREMELY helpful. Recommended to coaching clients and friends. And you as well.
I've read some pretty bad self-help books in my time... and this is one of those books. The forward by the Dalai Lama was one paragraph, and he could have been talking about literally any book it was so non-specific.
Brilliant. Great strategies for healing past hurts that caused fears and embracing fear for vibrancy. Will read again to deepen my understanding and take up larger challenges to become more alive.
