When Zephyr enters an ancient tomb in search of scrap metal, she doesn’t anticipate igniting a cosmic war. She’s stolen the key to a rare grimoire, The Book of Alabaza the Brave. The hordes of daemons chasing her want it back. If she’s to survive, she must rely on Ezekiel, a member of a supernatural clan of guardians called the Thrones. The only problem is she belongs to the daemonic caste, and Ezekiel was sent to slay her.
Zephyr’s Curse, a Grimoire Chronicles novelette, is a fast-paced urban fantasy novelette starring a curious crow-shifter and her reluctant guardian angel.

This book is cute and enjoyable. My only main issue with the book was that it was way too short so I got lost a couple of times trying to figure out why the characters were doing what they were doing or what was so significant about most of the things that were happening. I know it is supposed to be a short here's a quick intro to the world, but if the author had added some more details and made it longer I would have easily given this over 5 stars. 4.5 out of 5 stars.
I was quite intrigued by the title so gave the book a read. It was short and sweet and did not take long to read. However, I do think it was too short for the story given. Some scenes and dialect could have been longer to give the reader a sense of the characters and what was happening as everything moved very quickly. I love the concept of the Thrones and the different Realms and although I know little of the characters they were likeable. I would happily continue this series.
