Rose owns The Full Moon shifter bar. A place where all shifters could go but humans could only go in if invited.

Ash who used to go by another name, had been raised by a horrible person who kept him as a slave. But the warlock, Corbin got away and is up to his old ways again.

The warlocks that enslaved shifters like Ash when he was younger is back at it and have enslaved a shifter close to Rose. She finds herself in trouble and danger on more than one occasion so Ash can't ignore what he feels for her any longer. He has to come to her rescue even though he doesn't want to get close to her.

Rose has known Ash for 10 years and she's always been attracted to him but he's always been aloof and kept to himself. She had no idea there was a reason for that and when she finally realizes why he's never made a move on her and even turned her down when she went to him, she's blazing mad. Absolutely furious but knows he had a good reason for doing what he did.

When Corbin resurfaces and brings the danger up a notch, it's the mates that come to their rescue. Watching the danger get worst and worst and then have something terrible happen had me on the edge of my set. I read fast but I wanted to read faster to see what would happen next. The ending was fantastic, I never saw any of that coming. Just wow.

This book is the last in the Fire & Rescue Shifters series but we get a look at the spin off series where all of their kids have a series of books in the Wildfire Crew series. I shall be reading that as well very soon.

I loved this one! Ash and Rose have been favourites for the entire series, and I just knew their story would be so tragic. But watching them fight for each other was beautiful. I have loved every book in this series, and this one tied it up nicely, while the epilogue set up perfectly for the spin-off series. I can't wait for that one to release. Definitely recommend this series, and while they can be read in any order, I would suggest waiting to read this one until the very end.

Well, I'm not entirely sure about how I feel about this. Ash's story was intense and the constant throwbacks to the past were a story I would have loved to explore as an independent story, it all fell a little short but was still woven into the present story very nicely. Rose is fierce as well and I really like her.
The book rounded all the stories up quite nicely and I like how it all turned out.
I'm totally curious about the Shifting Sands series and the Wildfire Shifters... You'll see me reading those some time.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! No one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I have bought this book because it is awesome, and I own most of Zoe’s books!

The cover is awesome and fits in with the series!

This is the 7th book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content and violence. While not mandatory, I highly recommend reading the whole series in order because this amazing world is so much better with everything together!!

Okay this book made me cry several times! I already loved both Ash and Rose from the previous books, and I always wondered what happened. I never would have guessed this story! So much back story, you feel like you never really knew either of them. Tons of action and back guys galore, you do not want to miss out on this story especially if you have read all the others! Zoe Chant has this amazing ability to make each book have the perfect mix of action, romance, and intrigue. I don’t want to spoil anything, so you really need to read this!

I highly recommend to all Zoe Chant fans especially if you love this series and to any shifter fans especially if you love mythic shifters! This was a phenomenal story!

The world's deadliest game of tag meets the world most overused cliche ever, love conquers all.

This slayed though. Series was honestly fantastic. Epilogue was great.

Also WHERE IS THE WINDIGOS BOOK??? Most interesting character and we only see him 2 times.

This book is a prequel about Blaise's parents. There is a short story at the end about Rory getting the firefighter crew together.

Rose is a great heroine.

When the book starts Rose, who runs a bar, deciding to go for it with her friend Ash. Ash turns her down so she decides to move on and tries speed dating. Ash is horribly conflicted about her and he has a dark secret about Rose that he's keeping from her "for her own good". Not my favorite reason. Rose thinks that her mate is dead because she remembers trying to find him and then feeling the mating bond disappear. We travel back twenty years and find out what actually happened when her mate died.

Swan shifter Rose knows that her mate died before they met but she is lonely and hopes that phoenix shifter, Ash, feels something for her as she does for him. But when he turns her down for a date, she tries elsewhere. In the final book of this series, we get to see both Ash's and Rose's past and find out what happened to the two of them. We're also introduced to some nefarious warlocks. When the danger returns it will take a family to defeat it.

I loved this final book in the Fire and Rescue Shifters! It's well-written and ties up everything we've learned so far. I highly recommend it and suggest you read the series in order as characters from the previous books are all involved.

Series: Fire & Rescues Shifters #7
Rating: 3 stars - I liked it

We finally get Ash and Rose's story. I enjoyed this one and liked seeing them find happiness again. I was surprised by the warlock angle and wasn't expecting them to control shifters. I enjoyed the epilogue and seeing all the couples happy with grown kids. I probably will read the spin-off series now with the kids because these were fun.

Best Ending of a Series

Standing Ovation. I read this book in one sitting this evening. It had everything: action, romance, vile bad guys, and one kick butt rescue crew. Ash’s book was not going to end the series flat. It was a blaze of all the good that Zoe Chant has put into this entire series. Finally we learn more about Rose and she is bad all by herself. I could not love these two characters more. Definitely take a chance on this series and come to this part of the series feeling glad you did.

I glommed the whole series! I fell in love with all the characters! And loved getting to see how the characters in the first books were progressing. I enjoyed the interaction of the friends. There was angst, steam and love with an HEA. Definately would recomend. Looking forward to the next series.

My feelings on this one are…complicated. Like, there’s a ton to like about it, but also…

In the good column, I always prefer when both parties are shifters. I just like the dynamic better, when one doesn’t have to induct the other into this hidden world, they’re mutually powerful, they know the ins and outs of having, in this series’ case, an animal inside them, and that just…lets us cut to the place I’m interested in. Especially the “ways the different animal natures interact.” That’s a huge part of what I come to shifter stories for, I want the POV through the eyes of these animals. (Chaos, is the specific vibe I’m looking for hard to find.)

I’m not super in love with the One True Mates thing this series has going (and not just cuz I’m polyamorous), but it’s a staple of shifter romances, and it gives the authors fewer excuses to arbitrarily separate their pairs—which doesn’t stop them from still doing it, but means they have to get more creative than the annoying sitcom-style “Overheard the wrong statement out of context,” type tripe you often get in your cheesy low stakes romance. Look. I’m here for cheese and low stakes, not morons who can’t have a conversation. Them caring enough to have an uncomfortable discussion is definitely a perk.

(Halp. I just finished Jennette McCurdy’s “I’m Glad My Mom Died” and now I have her narrative voice stuck in my head!)

In the…not bad but personally fraught category: OOF. Like, the narrative doesn’t dwell on it as hard as it could, it’s got cheesy romance and sex scenes to get to, after all, but CHAOS, IS ASH’S ABUSER CORBIN A FUCKIN’ GARBAGE MONSTER OF DEATH. Just…coming from my own abusive parents, and having been sucked into a few cults and cult-like situations…FUUUUCK. So yeah, it gets close to being a bit triggering. Triggering adjacent, if you will. Where it doesn’t cross the line into bringing forward any of my specific trauma, but it has me tense and ready for it. So that gets a bit rough.

But again, the book doesn’t dwell on it, so neither do I have to. Yay!

In the Actually Bad, even though it’s making a solid effort to justify itself, though I’m not willing to give it that generosity: Ash Fucking With Rose’s Memories, and fucking her 20 years later with her NOT KNOWING about their first actual meeting and that she ACTUALLY LOST HER VIRGINITY TO HIM 20 YEARS PREVIOUS AND HER THINKING THAT SHE’S STILL A VIRGIN NOW AND SHE HAS NO IDEA!!!??? AND THE BOOK TRIES TO DWELL IN THIS AS ROMANTIC!? DON’T TRY TO TELL ME THAT THIS IS ANYTHING BUT A HORRIFIC PILE OF NONCONSENT! “Oh, but she never was anything but loyal to Ash, even though she knew nothing about it and thought, WITH GOOD REASON, that her One True Mate was dead!” SO THIS WOMAN WHO WOULD OTHERWISE BE INTERESTED IS TOO EMOTIONALLY SCARRED TO TRY AND FIND SOMEONE ELSE!? (Or even have a casual hookup!?) UNTIL SHE’S IN HER 40S!?

Like, it’s one thing entirely if you’re ace. Being ace and uninterested for 20 years, cool. Hell, being demisexual and uninterested for 20 years! But THAT IS NOT THE CODING WE’RE WORKING WITHIN, HERE. We have an individual we have no reason to believe is anything but allosexual, who is too traumatized by loss to try and look for connection…who is mourning someone she HONESTLY BELIEVES DIED BEFORE SHE MET HIM. Oh, also? HE’S BEEN HANGING OUT IN THE PUB SHE OWNS AND LIVING NEARBY AND A FIXTURE IN HER LIFE FOR 10 YEARS.

Yeah, fuck that plotline straight to the earth’s core. Yeah, Ash’s stupid fucking idiocy does end up being A Problem for him. A Big Honkin’ Plot Problem, even. But no, I’m sorry. This is not okay, and doesn’t get a pass from me. Like, there’s enough narrative retribution that I wouldn’t begrudge anyone else for forgiving this utter bullshit, but it doesn’t get absolution from me.

Anyway. The epilogue is kinda hilariously long and all about setting up the Wildfire Shifters series, passing the torch, as it were. And I’d probably have been annoyed to spend such a long epilogue in fankid hell territory, but again, I read the Wildfire books first, so joke’s on them, to me this was a prequel series the whole time.

I dislike stories that jump back and forward in time but this story needed to be told that way.
There are so many things to love about this story and one thing that vexed me no end.
A very emotional story full of pain, grief, heartache and what also felt like betrayal by Ash.
Poor Rose, left for twenty years with the haunting grief of a supposed lost mate. It was cruel of Ash to do that.
Not sure if I applaud Blaze’s/Ash’s actions or want to hit him. He wasted all that time and removed Rose’s memories, and it all turned out to be for no good reason. It didn’t change anything or save Rose in the end.
Poor Rose, 20 years of her life gone by without her mate. Why wasn’t Ash still searching for Corbin rather than being the fire chief for the last ten years?
Twenty years wasted so these two are now in their 40’s and have lost so much time and the chance for more children. These shifters seem to age the same as humans which seems strange and we are given a pregnancy to pacify us.
Though I really loved this story, I was also a bit vexed at the plot. Just seemed to be too easy and convenient at times. What have the Warlocks been doing for the last twenty years, not going without the power of shifters I would think but no one has picked up on this. Ice and Ash hunted them but knew they had not killed them all but only for the first ten years.
Loved going to Shifting Sands Resort though we really don’t spend any time there.
Loved that the wendigo Ice had his mate in the ocelot Miriam and what Ash was able to do for her.
Loved having the Master Shark involved.
The epilogue was very intriguing but I hate jumping 23 years into the future and having the children not even born yet being the next generation.

All In!!!

Rose Swanmay, a Swan shifter and owner of the only pub (The Full Moon) for shifters in Brighton knew she didn't have a true mate. Despite her attraction to her friend Ash, she knew the Phoenix wasn't for her (that's what she thought). Whatever she thought of her life, it was all a lie.

Ash , the Phoenix Eternal shifter and Commander of the Alpha Fire Team. Two decades ago, he made one of the biggest sacrifice a shifter could ever do. He destroyed everything in order to protect his one true mate. He stayed close to her and if anyone ever discovered her ties to him all his sacrifices will be in vain.

After being rejected by Ash, Rose decided to put herself out there again. That particular turn of events didn't sit well with the Phoenix but it let her do what she needed to do. But he was looking out for her from a distance.

It wasn't easy for him to watch his mate with anyone else. He erased Rose's memories in order to keep her safe from his enemies many years ago. Now he was dying to claim her and danger was more closer to them than they thought.

He finally laid it all out for her and she was heartbroken but her love and bond for Ash never wavered. When the fiend came looking for her, he soon realized what a terrible mistake it was. Especially when the women showed him they weren't no damsels in distress.

It was a treat to catch up with the previous characters, love the dynamic in the Alpha Team' relationships. To have those big, powerful shifters and their strong mates fighting for Ash and Rose was beautiful.

Also the crossing over between the Fire & Rescue Shifters and the Shifting Sands Resort series was done magnificently.

FIREFIGHTER PHOENIX is the seventh book in Zoe Chant's FIRE & RESCUE SHIFTERS series. What an emotional and marvelous journey. Incredible job by Zoe Chant.

P. S. Looking forward to what's in store for the next generation ;).

4.5 Stars. I really enjoyed Phoenix, #7; IMO, it was the darkest in the series.

Firefighter Phoenix/#7 is a unique & creative 2nd Chances, Seasoned Romance, Danger/Proximity and “Us Against the World” tropes love story with the 2 main characters finally finding and keeping their “mate” against all odds. The characters are - Rose/FMC, a swan shifter who knows her mate immediately but is kept from keeping him, and Blaze/MMC, a beaten and enslaved Phoenix shifter who is unable to live a life of freedom. Both must persevere through the most difficult circumstances (including denying their mate-bond for decades) to finally gain their HEA.

I began reading the Fire and Rescue series because I was drawn to the idea of these unique and mythical Shifters (a Griffin, Unicorn, Megladon, Phoenix, Sea Dragon, & Pegasus). The setting descriptions and the characters in each book have been creative and imaginative. I like that these characters are more than basic dragons or bears, although I have favorites in such series as well.

Readers who prefer light rather than dark paranormal novels, quick reading angst-free stories, a touch of humor & fun fantasy in their books, the 2nd Chances, Seasoned Romances, Danger/Proximity and “Us Against the World” tropes and HEAs may wish to check-out Firefighter Phoenix and this entire series. Phoenix was one of my favorite stories and a great conclusion for this series. The next generation (the children) of these main characters (23 yrs later in time) is introduced in the Epilogue, at the end of the book. WILDFIRE SHIFTERS (the children - grown) is another series to check out if you enjoy the FIRE & RESCUE series.

Firefighter Phoenix/#7 can be read as a standalone title but the characters from the earlier books do make crossover appearances. For the most enjoyment I recommend reading the previous books in the Fire and Rescue Shifter series which are similar in fun and mythical creativity - Dragon/#1, Pegasus/#2, Griffin/#3, Sea Dragon/#4, Master Shark/#5, Unicorn/#6, and finally Phoenix/#7. Be careful not to confuse this series/Firefighter Fire & Rescue with another Zoe Chant series - the Wildfire: Fire & Rescue series (which branches off this series, and are the stories about the grown children). Should you decide, shop carefully; it can be confusing (my only complaint). ;)

READER CAUTIONS -
Violence - Minimal. Between G/PG-13. Not graphic in description.
Profanity - Yes. Strong language is used occasionally.
Sexual Intimacy - Yes. There is somewhat steamy on-scene sexual intimacy between the 2 main characters as their relationship develops.

*Due to all the aforementioned, IMO this series is not suitable for young readers, and readers who prefer entirely Clean material may chose to look elsewhere.

I received an ARC with no obligation to leave my honest review!
The last book in the series didn't disappoint, we finally get more about the Phoenix, Ash and Rose and their back story as we have had a few hints from previous books. Sure these books can be read as stand alones but for the last one I highly recommend starting from the beginning to get everyone's HEA's.
Not usually a fan of when books jump from past to present throughout but it worked well in this one as it help reveal how Ash and Rose got to this point, a few things I guessed at and a few surprises along the way which was great!
I loved Ash and thought he was fabulous in his reserved way but Rose was the one that impressed me the most. With everything that happened, she was the one who saved him and I loved that. If a pair truly deserved their HEA it was Ash and Rose.
So great that all the members of Fire and Rescue, plus their mates, all played a part in this last one, I felt it finished the series off well.
The epilogue jumps ahead over 20 years with all the kids and a spin off series is being started!!! I don't mind when that happens but it does feel weird thinking of the original characters as getting old lol!! Will give it a try as I do like this "Zoe's" writing style!
Overall a fantastic end to the series that wrapped everything up nicely for me.

Ash and Rose's Blazing Bewitching Tryst! 3.5***** Spoiler Alert

Pulled to her mate, a magically runed-trapped Phoenix, Blaze, Rose rescued him from a warlock/US government group led by High Magus Warlock, Corbin, that imprisoned shifters and used their powers for global domination. Together they freed a wendigo, Ice, and over ten-twenty years Blaze/Ash and Ice rooted out and killed these warlocks. Ash and Rose's love was frozen as Ash wiped her memory away to protect her. But as in life, what is hidden is soon revealed, Corbin captured the entire Alpha Team on Shifting Sands Resort Island and their mates rescued them. Rose ended up saving Ash's life by returning his Phoenix to him in his last battle with power hungry, Corbin. Yes another shifting HEA.

The story cculminated over 20years, past and present colliding in the climax as pregnant Neridia, Rose, Ivy, Virginia, and Connie battle the witch, and Corbin's evil acolytes to the death. The scene ended with the birth of Joe, Pearl Emperor-in-Waiting and moved forward 23 years to the formation of the offsprings of Alpha Team forming a Wildfire Team with Rory- Griffin as leader. "Power tends to corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. " ...A Must-Read for paranormal/Rom readers.

Brighton shifter bar owner Rose Swanmay lost the call of her mate 20years ago, she’s has harbored a lusting for alpha team commander/ phoenix Ash for half that time and kept her gift of identifying true mate couples. With help from alpha team’s mates Rose arranges a quiet night in the bar with Ash and planned to use the opportunity to ask him out. He refuses.

Alternate chapters of this read are flashbacks of Rose and her mate, Blaze who’s bound and controlled by an evil warlock. Through the chapters, it becomes clear Ash is also connected to Blaze. When Blaze has to leave after explaining his absence to Rose, she’s captured by a warlock but is freed as alpha team arrives to rescue her but then the team is trapped.

This reader wasn’t a fan of the overwrought, handwringing female but this strong story wraps the series well, complete with a bonus-like epilogue nicely featuring alpha team’s offspring, the Wildfire Fighters complete with last looks and goodbye kisses from the likable characters and their families

“I burned away their desire to stop them from choosing you....Because I could not bear the thought that you might choose one of them in return.”
“I only want you, Ash.” she whispered. “I will only ever want you.” Firefighter Phoenix

I wish I could give ten stars for this amazing finale of the Fire and Rescue Shifter Squad series by Zoe Chant. Long have we waited for Ash and Rose’s story, but never could I have anticipated the heart thumping, soul burning romantic adventure that was spread before me. Tension and excitement rose on every page and just when I thought it couldn’t get any better...IT DID! And the beautifully aching love story that belongs to these mates shot me through the heart. I feel no sadness at its end because now it’s the children’s turn, with promises of a new series, Fire and Rescue Shifters: Wildfire Crew, due in the fall.

Great and full of twists and turns

I wasn't sure about this story, based on the foreshadowing in the previous story. I wasn't sure that I would like where Zoe went with this. I should have known better. Zoe Chant has a good reason for anything that is suggested!

I don't want to give anything away, so I will just say that this story is full of surprises. It does go back and forth in time, which makes you think about the story more. The pace is very fast and the tone is hopeful, but still angst-ridden at times. The storyline is both action and character oriented with lots of character development. The characters are vivid and have believable reactions to the difficulties they face. I can't wait to see what happens with the second series that follows, called Wildfire Crew! Enjoy this last one of the original Fire and Shifters series.

The one I've been itching for! Ash has been a steadfast presence through the books, and it's exciting to finally read his story. And it was so sad. We get to see some of his life through flashbacks, and it was hard to read because of the cruelty. Rose is so incredibly brave and compassionate. They were well matched and sweet together that their circumstances tore me up.

We get to see Ash and Rose's relationship, but we also get to see a lot from the rest of the crew too. The ending was full of action and oh so satisfying. The epilogue shoots us forward to introduce some of the kids and and setup a spinoff/sequel series. It was cool to see the kids grown up and the setup itself is very intriguing. I can't wait for more from them!

Firefighter Phoenix was utterly enthralling and everything I wanted. It was worth the wait. I am itching for more!

These two have been skirting their attraction for this whole series. The first half of this book jumps back and forth between their present and 20 years in the past and toggles between Rose and her mate, I can't say it's confusing but it is annoying and interrupted the flow of the story and only deserving of 3.5-4 stars; however, the second half of the story is worth every one of the 5 stars that I gave it. The menace from the past that cost Rose her mate, is back and worse then before. A freakin' awesome ending to the Fire & Rescue Shifters with a great set-up for the Wildfire Shifter series (some of Alpha Team's kids).

I gobbled up this series and the first 2 Wildfire books in less than 10 days (and that includes reading a couple of ARCs for other authors). Shifters + mythical beasts + firefighters = fantastic reads.

It was very confusing 4 a while but I finally figured it out. Omg!! I didn't realize those kids were grown up and who they parents r. Lol it didn't click rt away. Blaze/Ash did what he thought was best 2 protect his mate but he should have explained everything 2 her b4 he did things and ruined things even if it was 4 a good cause. A witch/warlock 's familiar is supposed 2 b of house cats not innocent shifters. It's very good that people fought back as they did with ivy leading the pack. That asshole got what he deserved after what he did 4 all those yrs 4 those innocents that he twisted their brains around just so they can steal powers that they don't know how 2 even use. Paybacks a bitch and it's good that they got a blessing out of it with a unexpected birth of sheer stubbornness rt after a mini war. Lol

It was the most action-packed, the most emotional of all the books in this series. And so great. The past, decades of the past haunted Ash and Rose, even if she didn't exactly know who or what. They both suffered, never moved on despite trying and finally got their HEA after a lot of pain and fight. I loved all the stories of the previous couples, each one unique in their shifter form and storyline, with their own issues and such. Ash, the firefighter commander phoenix, and Rose, the pub-owning swan had obstacles the size of Fin, the megalodon Master Shark but the whole family was there with them to help them and this end gave way to a new beginning of Wildfire Crew, the descendants of the great. This series is very original and I hope to love the spin-off as much as this, and more books of Zoe Chant I want to read. She's made a known trope her own.

well written, emotional story

You may want to read the series in order to understand the relationships with the characters. This was a very anxiety producing book. It seemed impossible for the hero Ash and heroine Rose to ever have a happily ever after. Their history was hinted in previous books so the fact that they are mates wasn’t surprising. But this book tells Ash’s backstory and how important Rose was to him. It also continued the stories of all the others in Alpha Force. The only part of the book I found over done was the epilogue which was thrown in to set up a second series. It did start to flesh out the personalities of the children of the original Alpha Force. I couldn’t put down the book. It was heart breaking several times in the story and I really questioned what type of HEA would occur. It was a surprising ending but very satisfying.

This was a fantastic finale to a fantastic series! We all have been impatiently waiting for Commander Ash and Rose's story and I can definitely state, it was worth the wait!!! Wao! This was a fantastic story packed with action, adventure, intrigue and romance. We get to see all the members of the elite Fire and Rescue crew, including Master shark, all reunited with a single goal. Zoe Chant, you are an amazing storyteller and I can't wait for their children's turn at an HEA. To everybody out there, give this book a chance, hell, give this whole series a chance! I promise you won't regrets it! Highly recommended.
Ps: i find it hilarious that of all the children, John Doe's is the womaniser of the bunch. Kkkk

Wow! The Phoenix Flame, Hotter than Hellfire.

Of all the books in this series, this has been the absolute best.
Talk about saving the best for last, well the last for this group of characters at least.
Finally we get to find out all about Ash, and the secret's he's held inside for 20 year's, and Rose, the proprietress of the Full Moon tavern and Swan shifter.
Anything else I write will no doubt be more of a spoiler alert, therefore I'm just going to recommended this whole series ( what has amounted to being an amazing, adventurous and magical bunch of stories) to all lover's of shifters, mystical beings and most of all when the dust has settled a HEA.
Zoe Chant has once again, hit it out of the park, and made a home run.
