Short but on point. It provides a realistic approach to dealing with negative thoughts, along with actionable strategies and tools to help the reader overcome negative thinking. I resonated with the holistic perspective on mental well-being, which considers various aspects of life and philosophy, rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution.

One way or another, we all have negative thoughts. The trouble starts when some people have more and their negative imaginations or recurring anxiety-inducing thoughts make up the majority of their daily thinking.

Since the author is a qualified specialist in the field, about which she has written a book and has herself gone through her own hell, it can be felt that she knows what she is talking about.

After a personal introduction, in which she explains her own sad past, she slowly turns to why we might be addicted to negative thoughts, how addiction develops. Moving on in the book, we can also find out why people have negative thoughts at all, what we call cognitive distortions and why we cling to these thoughts so much after a while.

Towards the middle of the book, it is also discussed why positive thinking or striving for it is not enough. You can hear from everywhere that the easiest thing to do is to replace negative thoughts with positive ones and then everything will be fine. Yeah, right! I wish it was that easy! We also get an answer to why this doesn't work, illustrated with the example of a dustbin, which I think is extremely apt and I really liked it.

In addition to these, many other interesting and important aspects are discussed (like self-understanding, self-worth) with regard to negative thinking. At the end of the writing we can learn about extremely useful practical techniques in order to fight our demons and emerge victorious from the battle.

I like the book, not only because it thoroughly covers the topic of negative thinking, but also because it is based on the author's own personal experiences and expertise and does not try to analize a topic that she herself has not lived or experienced. Just like the author, I recommend this book to everyone, wherever you are in life and whatever mental state you are in.

Therefore, I recommend it to those also who are only sometimes affected by negative feelings, moods, and fantasizing, and mostly to those who are currently struggling with their negative thoughts and it makes their lives miserable on a daily basis.
