She's a small-town girl with big dreams and a painful past. He's a superstar with a secret and something to prove. Will these two learn to trust each other, or will forces beyond their control tear them apart?
When Josie Carter found out she would be the head makeup artist for the famous Rodney Bator, it was hard not to be a little star struck. Working on her first big motion picture was a dream for the girl from Arkansas. Her own passion for acting was pushed aside many years ago after a terrible accident that killed her eldest sister. Tragedy has blurred her vision of the world and made her apprehensive to accept anything good in life, including the kindness and love of the incredible actor she works with every day.
All Rodney Bator ever wanted in life was to prove to other werewolves that it was possible to live in the midst of humans and not risk discovery. The old-world superstitions that sent many of his kind, including his father, into hiding have become a thing of the past. Still, fear and suspicion persist. Faced with the growing anger of the world's alphas and mounting family pressure, Rodney is ready to hang up his actor hat and settle down for good. And he knows just who he wants to settle down with. Can he convince a reluctant Josie to take a chance on love, or will she run for the hills when she learns his secret?
But, after a fatal mistake is made in a moment of carelessness, a new darkness is encroaching on their plans. A plot twist is coming that they would have never expected, and more than just the success of the project is on the line. Can their love keep the show going when their lives become endangered?
An author of paranormal and urban fantasy fiction, Sheritta Bitikofer lives for the deep, engaging stories that enthrall readers from cover to cover. As a wife and fur-mama of eclectic tastes, she can be found roaming Civil War battlefields, perusing the romance section of the bookstore, or relaxing with a plate of chili cheese fries.

This book is fresh and unique. I normally don't read shifter/werewolf books. For some reason the subject matter and I don't click but this one did. I loved her take on this. The story line and characters were so intriguing that I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read more by this author.
This was a great supernatural book, I like my books to be on the sweeter side of romance and this was perfect! The idea behind the book was really interesting. I love this author!
Silver Screen by Sheritta Bitikofer is a sweet and clean shifter romance. Rodney Bator is a famous and talented actor, who also happens to be a werewolf. The irony is that he is staring in the remake of the Wolfman as the titular character. Josie Carter is his makeup artist for the movie. She has a passion for classic Hollywood movies and while she once wanted to become an actress, she pushed that aside after a personal tragedy. Under pressure from others of his kind to refrain from the spotlight, Rodney doesn't expect the attraction he feels towards Josie. As he tries to convince her to give him a chance, a careless mistake may bring the wrong attention to them both. Danger abounds - can they have their happy ending?
I truly enjoyed reading this novel by Ms. Bitikofer. She has done an excellent job of world-building and character development. The romance between Rodney & Josie is a slow build and it is nice to watch them fall for one another. I was immediately drawn into this world, in part due to my own love of classic Hollywood film. There is an excellent cast of characters that inhabit this book, so that the focus is not just on Josie and Rodney, though of course, they are a big part of it. Because this is sweet and clean, it lacks the usual sex factor that shows up in shifter romances and that was appreciated for a change in pace. I also enjoyed the action sequences and thought the solutions to various problems were well thought out. Ms. Bitikofer is a talented writer and I look forward to reading further books by her.
NB: I received a copy of the book from the author.
A sweet romance that caught my interest from the beginning. I enjoyed the characters. They felt real and relatable. The story was paced well and I couldn’t put it down. Werewolves, movie stars and sweet romance what’s not to love. I voluntarily reviewed an arc from the author.
This is a well-written, witty romance from a genre I love. I'm entranced by Rodney, superstar and werewolf. And as a shy and cautious woman, I relate to Josie's character. I really enjoyed character development and thoughtful solutions to problems. If you want the feeling of new love, read this book.
Its a quiet YA level love story. A nice little book that world builds and introduces you to some interesting characters, I did like Opal the fortune teller.
Rodney is the Hollywood Actor/Werewolf hiding in public and Josie is his guilt ridden (for her sisters untimely death) make up artist. They meet on the set of his latest blockbuster a remake of The Wolfman.
Its sweet but readable. I also like the authors note at the end.
I really enjoyed this one… I found Josie and Rodney to be incredibly likable characters. She's your average person with problems and yet she manages the have we good enough personality to catch the eye of Rodney who, in spite of the fact that he's on a mission to show his species that they don't have to completely close themselves off from humanity or rather the whole world has managed to to isolate himself. All the while or maybe because he's living more closely with humans and Josie manages to break down the walls either consciously or unconsciously puts up and she does so without even realizing it for the longest time, which is what makes this story incredibly enjoyable. I love the chemistry between the characters. There are a few places where I'm like I don't know about that but this book plot, character, chemistry, whatever you want to call it was good enough for me to tolerate incredibly horrible narration. I'm sorry the narration of the character Rodney was almost completely and utterly intolerable right when I thought my ears just couldn't take anymore. Something would happen between the characters or some action would happen to make me say okay, maybe just a few more minutes and see what's gonna happen pretty soon I got to the end of the audible and was sad to see that this is pretty much as far as I can tell a standalone and that greatly saddens me because I really truly enjoyed these two characters and would love to have seen more from them like for instance Rodney meeting Josie's mom... If you're looking for something furry and romantic with some action thrown in. And of course some drama then you should give this a try
Shifters are a bred all on their own. They usually keep to themselves, but not this time. Rodney has a point to make and branches out as an actor. As he finds himself falling for Josie things get complicated and the plot thickens.
My first read by this author and I must say I enjoyed the cuteness factor and the intensity of the story. I like the way she tells a story. It is a clean read which is not the norm for shifter books but well done. I will definitely read more of her work.
