Blake is a fascinating character. Yes, he's a thief. Yes, he's planning a robbery for which there's no excuse. But Simon Maltman's lively style carries us along with him and it's impossible to stop reading. And when Eva's story emerges, our sympathy is suddenly on Blake's side. Blake is intelligent, tricky, and unbeatable, and of course his plans – all his plans – succeed happily. I've enjoyed everything I've read by Simon Maltman, and intend to read more. I recommend that you do, too.
