A delivery truck is bombed, and the driver is killed. The discovery of its surprising cargo deepens the sinister mystery. Higgins and his team must untangle the source of the ancient stolen antiquities and find a murderer with a dark, evil secret.

Driftess Treasure was so much fun to write. I always learn a ton of stuff when I write a new book. The book uses the actual historical event of the ransacking of the National Museum at Baghdad during the Iraqi war. I use it as a srpingboard to ask the question "What if some of the stolen treasures from the museum began appearing in La Crosse? And the mystery starts there. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

After reading the first book in the series, I found myself itching to follow along again with the characters lives. I love Sue's writting style, she keeps me engaged. I just picked up number 3 and CAN NOT wait to get started.

New author for me. Being from Minnesota, LaCrosse is just across the stateline from me, so the setting was very familiar. This is the second in Ms. Berg's series. Have actually been to several of the locales featured in the story. The plot was interesting and the characters developed through the book. I'm reading the next book in the series, "Driftless Deceipt" now. I'll let you know if I liked that one as well.

I love these characters. I laughed with them, I cried a few times. I really feel a connection to them in the story. Sue writes a great mystery and has plenty of personal touches to make it feel real.

I loved reading, Driftless Gold and Driftless Treasure! The characters draw you in and each book has a unique mystery. I like all the local references, it kind of brings the stories to life! I can’t wait to read the 3rd book in the series!

Not as good as book one. The ending was very predictable. Other than Carol, I find most of the main characters likable. I like the descriptive passages about the Lacrosse area. I’m from Wisconsin but never visited Lacrosse. It’s definitely on my lists of places to see now!!
