I am writing this review because of how much goodness this book brought into my life. I picked it up, not because I wanted to attract magnetic attention or increase my presence (I think this tag line might be doing a disservice to the book because of the reactions I got from my friends when I recommend it to them) but because I felt a need to reconnect to my Feminine. I bought a few books on this topic based on recommendations and how closely it matched my needs in terms of overall content, and this one turned out to be a gem.
I waited a few weeks before writing this review because usually, self-help/spirituality books cause an initial wave of optimism and that dies down after a while and superficial change that is forgotten after a few months. It was not the case with this book.
I am working in the tech industry (almost 90% male-dominated sector) in addition to that I have been building my startup for the last few years, dealing with investors, business advisers, other founders, accelerators and developers. All of which are almost unanimously male. Increasingly, I felt disconnected from my feminine side with a growing dissonance and discomfort inside.
I started feeling a stronger drive to become more connected to my nature. To be less reactive to my environment and more driven by my inner compass. The problem was, I couldn’t hear my inner compass anymore, and I didn’t know how to get in touch with it. I was ‘dry’, efficient, and disconnected from all my true drivers.
This book was a major breakthrough. I started feeling better almost the minute I implemented Rachael’s technique of ’dropping my energy down’ (I wont tell you more than that, you will have to read the book). Not only that, my posture changed without any intention! For years, I have been struggling with my posture and stiff shoulders; I tried everything from corrective exercises to straps I wore under my shirt. Nothing helped. It happened as a by product of a different attention distribution inside my body after implementing Rachel's methods. My shoulders are now relaxed and down and my back is straight when my energy is ’down’.
I feel that everyday my connection to myself grows stronger. My inner happiness and ‘juiciness’ goes up. I walk into a room full of people calmer and more confident than before. More than that, I feel the progress now, a few weeks after finishing the book, more than when I was reading it. Everything gets deeper and stronger - like a machine that was set in motion and took time to warm up but now is gaining momentum.
I am at the start of my journey our society moved far from cultivating this feminine energy consciously in women and girls so there is work to be done to correct myself and get back to my natural roots and start operating from the right place using the right ‘fuel’. This book is a good tool that I would highly recommend to any woman, of any age, even if she is not looking to get ‘magnetic attention’ but wants to awaken her femininity. We are not men with breasts we are different, not worse or better, just different in quite an amazing way, it would be great to know more about this difference and start harnessing the benefits.
I learned a lot from this book of Rachel Jaynes of how feminine presence is different the the masculine. Her practices really work to increase presence in a feminine way. I recommend this book to all women. It's really good and helps clear some of the modern confusion about male- female roles and essences. I'm grateful I have discovered her work. A female does not need to fight like a man to advance in life, does not need to remove obstacles. If her essence is activated, it will attract to her everything she needs. Women can activate their essence by putting their attention in heir womb space...I let you discover the rest.
It started off alright but when she started getting into the "give up control" and acting as if being feminine meant being the more submissive of the genders, then she started to lose me. She has some good points throughout but the idea that control is a masculine trait really rubbed me the wrong way. You basically have to pull out the parts that make sense and realize some of it is very much her opinion. (or the opinion she was taught). I won't say I got nothing from this book but it does have its flaws as well as its high points.
The author demands a submissive attitude from women looking to embrace their femininity in a book full of formless nonsense - Groover states that "key" to being feminine is all about radiating love and "breathing from your womb". Save your money and your time.
Wow, what a joy and truly life-changing read! This is the stuff I wish my mother and grandmother knew to pass on to me, but I'm grateful to be learning now. Although there are a few points I disagree with, the abundance of wisdom and insight that Rachel offers is invaluable. I started reading this a few weeks ago, applying the exercises, and I am already seeing beautiful results with such a subtle shift. I feel lighter, more energetic, less stressed, more powerful, my skin is clearer, hubby keeps saying I'm glowing...I could go on and on. Best of all, I am receiving so much more of what want with ease by simply learning how to be more open to receive...it works, lol! In my opinion, this book is highly recommended reading for all women and adolescent girls.
I love being a woman, being able to care, to wish my colleague a hearty, you are welcome after being of help and in using my intuition and womb space to connect to my heart, for my head to be filled with creative and life giving forces. I enjoy romanticizing my mother's handmade coffee which tastes like a rose and overall, women are such powerful healers! Practicing presence, the ability to be and to make powerful choices are worth the commitment.
Okay, so I really didn't give the techniques in this book a try so i can't speak on its validity but my rating is more to do with the writing style and the arrangement of information presented. However, with regard to content...anyone who suggests that the reader imagine a vagina being penetrated or to hyperfocus on womb work in order to increase femininity/sexual energy is definitely a nut job in MY books.
Great book on grasping what it means to have strong feminine presence and inner femininity
A lot of femininity teachers talk more obscurely. Their words may feel good but they don't deliver clear and concise action steps like this book does. This book gives very tangible examples of feminine presence and inner femininity.
This book will guide you to jow to tap into the power of the feminine. Worth the read even though it could be condensed by about half as it is a bit repetitive.
A really long book but hardly says anything of substance. Nothing very life changing or enlightening. The only thing interesting was when she spoke about masculinity.
Best book I’ve read in a long while on developing connection to yourself. It is full of exercises to help reconnect to feminine essence as well as personal power. Definitely recommend.
⚠️ This is a spiritual book. Not a psychology book.
I liked it. I though it would have a bunch of nonsense, and, although it had some, it still made sense for me. The exercises presented are essencially mindfulness practises directed toward women issues.
I throughly enjoyed this book. Rachel helps you to see how you can become a powerful and that being feminine is not just about wearing make up and looking pretty and how to listen and to get in touch with yourself. I will definitely be reading this book again in the future and recommending it to my female friends .
A pity, I think when the writer sat down and wrote this she really did have her heart in it, there is a lot of wisdom and joy in this.
I had the kindle edition which linked me to a website, where the author gave talks.
I received an email from the organisation telling me that she had founded a multimillion dollar franchise, would i like to pay to join in? Guess that is my contribution to her million dollars.. I turned down the offer and abandoned the book.
Its message is really polluted in my eyes, by the PR marketing spin behind it.
