Audiobook: I enjoyed the second book of the "Freckle Face & Blondie" series as much as the first one. The two middle-aged girls were hired to find a missing cat. The girls were also drawn into the search for a missing jewel. I liked the two girls, their characters, and their relationship. I admired the way that the author managed to incorporate the importance of community and care of neighbors into the story. I'm looking forward to more stories featuring these young investigators. Sally Barron's narration captured the ambiance of the tale, and her performance kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
Freckle Face & Blondie are back taking their first paid gig. This inspirational middle-grade child read inspires youngsters to love reading, help others, develop reasoning skills and think for themselves. Any child reading chapter books would love it.
