Me after reading: WTF??!
What an effin' waste of time and money. The only consolation is that I borrow this from a friend, but sad for her--she's the one who had money gone wasted. And she's furious.
I wouldn't be this irked, if I hadn't read this subsequently after the book 3. I was so excited to open this the moment I ended T Is For... and lo and fu**** behold I felt like I was back reading the middle part of book 3.
I like this author. I definitely effin' love Grover Beach Team series. But what kind of author would copy-paste half part of her previous book then decided it'll be the book 4 then make money out of it.
I did skimmed the book HOPING there are parts of which wasn't in the book 3. The only thing I notice is how some phrases change, and the Game of Thrones became Viking. But apart from that nothing else. I was so frustrated I want to fu***** throw this book. But can't cause it's in ereader.
So I started this book expecting it to be like the 2nd book where we get to read Hunter's POV, this time it'll be Tony's, but no. DISSAPOINTING.
But with another GBT book to be release, maybe I'll be appease.
I don't categorized her as one of my worst author, yet. Like I said I love her books, I'm still a fan. Not just this one.

It's a repeat of the second book. I don't understand th purpose of publishing this under a different name and as a continuation in the series. I loved the previous book and gave it four stars. I can't do the same for this because I just can't grasp the purpose of this book which has the same contents with the one it followed with an additional chapter or two removing the few chapters in the beginning. I believe it's unnecessary. Totally unnecessary.

I did not expect that but hell yes I love reading all night. This one was worth staying up. It was a sweet and easy romance with lotss of tension and a bit of drama. Oh and it also managed to make the name 'Tony' seem a bit less ridiculous to me than before... A bit

I bought this book thinking it was a continuation of Sam and Tony's story, unfortunately it is not. It's the exact same story as T is for... minus the introductory chapters and with one additional scene. A good story but not one I wanted to buy twice.

Someone please explain the purpose of this book to me. Other than a few extra chapters detailing their visit to the police station this is an EXACT duplicate of book #3. >.<

Die Geschichte um Sam und Tony geht weiter und wo Band drei mit einem echt fiesen Cliffhanger endete steigt Band vier mit Gefühlschaos wieder ein - natürlich. Es geht nahtlos dort weiter wo Sam und Tony sich noch immer uneinig sind. Ein bisschen enttäuscht war ich bei der Gefühlsintensität, die in diesem Band leider nachgelassen hat. Hier werden vielmehr Wogen gekittet und Dinge in die rechte Bahn gelenkt. Eigentlich dürfte man Katastrophe mit Kirschgeschmack und Jungs, die nach Kirschen schmecken nicht als zwei Geschichten betrachten, denn sie gehören definitiv zusammen - und sind ein Manuskript. Leider kann ich gar nicht viel mehr zu dieser Geschichte sagen ohne zu spoilern. Es ist schon alles in der Rezension zu Band drei gesagt worden. Sam und Tony sind einfach zuckersüß mit Startschwierigkeiten und ich freue mich jetzt schon auf mehr von Anna Katmore und mehr vom Grover Beach Team.

Kiss with Cherry Flavor continues Sam and Tony's story from T is for.... It was a very quick read and easy to fly through. A huge chunk of this book was pretty much dedicated to Tony being hot and cold towards Sam and sending her mixed signals. I think it would've been better if Sam and Tony's story was covered in one book because I lost interest for a while and didn't pick this up until now. The mystery surrounding Chloe's behaviour added some interesting drama but there wasn't much of a plot other than a means to finish what was started in the previous book. It was enjoyable but nothing really stood out.

This is a sequel to T is For… and continues the story of Sam Summers and Tony.
Now that Tony’s angry persona has fled, it’s great to see his romance with Sam flourish, and there are some lovely, sweet moments.
Chloe comes more into the picture and we find out far more about the girl hiding behind the mean persona.
There are strange things going on around Sam and as everything starts to unravel she has to find out how much she can lean on her new friends.
I really enjoyed this conclusion to Sam and Tony’s story. It’s a lovely, sweet story about trust and loyalty. A fabulous feel good read and I’m really looking forward to the next Grover Beach instalment.

I really enjoyed this book! I was a little scared about some of the reviews saying it was the same story as their first book but I didn't think so at all. Sure it was the same "I can't date you but I want to be with you" stuff but you're going to always get that. And then with everything else that happened I really enjoyed it

I know it is just a continuation of the last book and should NOT be read as a stand-alone but I thoroughly enjoyed the continuing saga of Sam and Tony. Ms. Katmore has a true talent for writing from a YA perspective that is real yet endearing. There is a depth and resonance that readers of any age will appreciate and enjoy.

Adorable
Oh my god, I loved it, I loved, I loved it. This is a beautiful story. Tony and Sam are a beautiful couple and the story was just perfect. Book number four I liked as much as the first three. Now to wait on book number five.

Und wäre das alles noch nicht schlimm genug scheint es bei ihrer Tante und ihrem Onkel auch nicht mehr so heimisch zu sein, wie sie einst dachte. Immer mehr Dinge verschwinden und ihre Cousine wird zu einer Zicke durch und durch. Und nicht nur, dass Sam an dem Verschwinden von Geld und Gegenständen schuld sein soll, ihre Cousine Chloe scheint sie immer mehr zu kopieren und versucht sie überall madig zu machen. Dabei hat Sam ihr doch gar nichts getan und die beiden waren früher doch immer wie Pech und Schwefel gewesen. Für Sam beginnt ein Spießrutenlauf, den scheinbar nur Tony stoppen kann. Doch soll Sam in Grover Beach bleiben oder das Handtuch werfen und wieder zu ihren Eltern gehen, die durch die Arbeit ihres Vaters ständig umziehen müssen?
Der vierte Teil der Grover-Beach-Reihe und der zweite Teil um Sam und Tony hat es wirklich in sich gehabt. Nicht nur das Sam die schlechte Seite ihrer Familie kennen lernen muss, sie muss sich auch noch mit Liebeskummer herumschlagen. Keine gute Kombination. Während Tony scheinbar nur mit ihr gespielt hat, gerät sie immer mehr ins Kreuzfeuer ihrer Familie. Es werden Anschuldigungen getroffen die Sam an ihre Grenzen treiben und sie an ihrem Entschluss zweifeln lassen in Grover Beach zu wohnen und dort ein halbwegs normales Leben zu führen. Der Leser geht nahtlos von dem dritten in den vierten Band über. Die Schreibweise der Autorin ist gewohnt locker und doch fesselnd. Auch in diesem Teil gibt es ein Wiedersehen mit altbekannten Charakteren. Außerdem löst sich endlich das Rätsel um Tony und seinem Tete-a-Tete mit Chloe Summers auf, was uns ja bereits in den ersten zwei Teilen mehr oder minder beschäftigt hat.
Tony kommt in diesem Band noch immer sehr unnahbar daher und wirkt zeitweise wie der Arsch den wir in den anderen drei Bänden kennen gelernt haben. Doch je mehr Probleme Sam hat, desto mehr scheint er aufzutauen und beginnt sich für sie einzusetzen.
Sam hingegen scheint an ihren Problemen immer mehr zu zerbrechen. Sie war am Anfang ein starker Charakter, aber auch sie weiß bald nicht mehr wie sie mit der Situation mit Tony und ihrer Familie umgehen soll und will das Handtuch in Grover Beach werfen, was wirklich ein bisschen schade ist, da ich ihren Charakter immer durch ihre Schlagfertigkeit mochte.
Chloe als Gegenspielerin von Sam finde ich einfach nur ätzend. Sie hat keinen Sinn für Familie und versucht allen das Leben schwer zu machen. Durch die Schlussszene wird das Ganze nicht besser, sondern sie sinkt noch mehr in meiner Sympathieskala. Sie ist einfach ein unmöglicher Charakter und man will am liebsten nichts mehr von ihr lesen.
An sich hat mir die Geschichte wieder sehr gut gefallen. Es gibt eine geballte Ladung Emotionen und man muss öfter die Luft anhalten. Die Seiten fliegen nur so dahin und das Lesen macht echt Spaß. Aber zum Ende hin wird die Geschichte dann doch ein bisschen unglaubwürdig für mich, als Chloe dann so maßlos übertreibt. Ich kann mir einfach nicht vorstellen, dass ein Teenie so ausrastet, eine Familie einen so in den Rücken fällt und man so schnell verzeihen kann.
Empfehlen möchte ich das Buch allen, die gern Liebesromane für Teenies lesen. Ihr bekommt hier alles was das Herz begehrt. Freundschaft, Liebe, Drama. Ich jedenfalls freue mich schon auf die weiteren Bände. ;-)

Der Cliffhanger in Teil 3 war echt mies und ich habe mich wirklich auf den neuen Teil gefreut. Dieser Teil ist für mich bisher der Schwächste der Reihe, ich fand Tony's "Geheimnis" nicht wirklich dramatisch und zum Ende hin wurde es in meinen Augen etwas zu absurd. Die Reihe mag ich trotzdem nach wie vor und finde Sam und Tony sind wirklich süß zusammen.
Das Cover ist eigentlich das schönste der Reihe und es ist wirklich eine Schande, dass ich das Buch nicht in dieser Ausgabe besitze. Dazu noch eine längere Anmerkung, die nichts mit dem Inhalt der Bücher zu tun hat:
Ich besitze Katastrophe mit Kirschgeschmack als einzelnes Buch und habe mich dementsprechend etwas aufgeregt, dass Band 3 und 4 der Grover Beach Team Reihe nun doch in ein Buch zusammengefasst wurden. Noch dazu passt die Reihe in meinem Bücherregal optisch überhaupt nicht zusammen. Teamwechsel habe ich in der kleinen Ausgabe, das Buch ist wirklich winzig. Sowohl Ryan Hunter als auch Katastrophe mit Kirschgeschmack besitze ich in einer größeren Selfpublisher-Ausgabe. Ich hatte mich mittlerweile damit abgefunden, dass Teil 1 nicht direkt dazu passt. Auch dass ich die zusammengefasste Ausgabe kaufen musste, obwohl ich somit den ersten Teil doppelt bezahlt habe, war etwas, mit dem ich nach dem ersten Aufregen leben konnte, denn ich bin ein großer Fan dieser Reihe. Allerdings verwendet der Drachenmond-Verlag, wo die Bücher mittlerweile erscheinen, ein wirklich seltsames Taschenbuchformat. Das Buch hat etwa die Größe und Breite eines kleineren Hardcover-Buch (Klappbroschur nur breiter) und passt somit überhaupt nicht in ein Taschenbuchregal. Das ist etwas, dass mich als Buchliebhaber wirklich stört, da ich möchte, dass mein Bücherregal gut aussieht. Gerade, weil ich diese Reihe sehr gerne mag, hätte ich die Bücher gerne nebeneinander und fühle mit meinem Büchernerd-Herz schon fast dazu genötigt, die ersten beiden Teile auch in der neuen Ausgabe, die ohne Frage wirklich schön gestaltet ist und mir optisch an sich auch wirklich gefällt, zu kaufen. Wäre da nur nicht der finanzielle Aspekt und die Frage nach dem Sinn, ein Buch zu kaufen, dass man bereits besitzt und auch schon gelesen hat. Aber hey, wir kaufen doch auch die illustrierte Ausgaben von Harry Potter, obwohl wir die Bücher schon in diversen Ausgaben besitzen, sie alle schon 100 Mal gelesen und die Filme schon 1000 mal gesehen haben. Da stört das auch niemanden ;-)

Auch dass ich die zusammengefasste Ausgabe kaufen musste, obwohl ich somit den ersten Teil doppelt bezahlt habe, war etwas, mit dem ich nach dem ersten Aufregen leben konnte, denn ich bin ein großer Fan dieser Reihe. Allerdings verwendet der Drachenmond-Verlag, wo die Bücher mittlerweile erscheinen, ein wirklich seltsames Taschenbuchformat. Das Buch hat etwa die Größe und Breite eines kleineren Hardcover-Buch (Klappbroschur nur breiter) und passt somit überhaupt nicht in ein Taschenbuchregal. Das ist etwas, dass mich als Buchliebhaber wirklich stört, da ich möchte, dass mein Bücherregal gut aussieht. Gerade, weil ich diese Reihe sehr gerne mag, hätte ich die Bücher gerne nebeneinander und fühle mit meinem Büchernerd-Herz schon fast dazu genötigt, die ersten beiden Teile auch in der neuen Ausgabe, die ohne Frage wirklich schön gestaltet ist und mir optisch an sich auch wirklich gefällt, zu kaufen. Wäre da nur nicht der finanzielle Aspekt und die Frage nach dem Sinn, ein Buch zu kaufen, dass man bereits besitzt und auch schon gelesen hat. Aber hey, wir kaufen doch auch die illustrierte Ausgaben von Harry Potter, obwohl wir die Bücher schon in diversen Ausgaben besitzen, sie alle schon 100 Mal gelesen und die Filme schon 1000 mal gesehen haben. Da stört das auch niemanden ;-)

Ok, let's get one thing straight. I love Anna's books, particularly this series. I've read them all. Including the most recent. But, after finishing Sue and Chris's story I was left with a nagging feeling to read T is for.... Again. So I did, and I was disappointed. The series is jam packed full of strong women and passionate and dedicated guys. Sam and Tony are neither. Tony treats her like crap, and I have an arch nemesis who I loathe, but I don't treat their siblings nastily, no mind their cousins! It makes no sense! He treats her like sh*t and she's like "I don't like how he's treated me, but I seem to know him really well (after two days) so he'll get over it"
God knows why, but she worships him from the get go. Whilst he has a mild attraction towards her, at best. I don't dislike her, I dislike how she lets him get away with everything. In kiss with cherry flavour, he basically says-
1. Sorry for kissing you
2. I don't want a girlfriend
3. It's obvious your in love with me, and are upset by the all of the above.
4. I will share this information with my friends.
After all of that, she's still ready to go.
She's moody for, like, a day. Tops. And then she feels bad, for no reason, and comes running back. She can never put herself and her own feelings first. Lisa did, it actually took Tony to get Ryan and her together. Susan friggin stood her ground! When they're boys were in the wrong, they didn't cave. It literally took Sam a day. A day. And yet she doesn't forgive her uncle after months have gone by, because he thought she was drunk. Because her room was trashed, with bottles everywhere and she smelled of alcohol. Wow. What a bastard. (Sarcasm)
I don't think Tony loves anyone, apart from himself. If I was Sam I'd set him the f*ck straight! Sam in all her camo glory, should have grown a pair. I see enough insecure, male reliant, obedient girls in my regular life. I'd rather not read a book about it, disguised as a romance novel. Thanks.

Encore un tome très sympa dans cette série YA sur fond d’amitié, foot et premier amour. Si vous avez déjà lu les tomes précédents vous allez très vite reconnaitre la construction car elle est quasi identique dans tous même si l’auteure apporte des nouveautés dans ses thématiques.
Susan se retrouve sur le banc de touches plusieurs semaines après une vilaine blessure, voir son remplaçant ne l’enchante pas mais Ethan est en plus d’un excellent joueur, un garçon qui lui plait énormément. Elle se dit qu’il pourrait être plus qu’un ami et devenir son premier petit copain. Seul bémol son frère jumeau est une plaie qui prend un malin plaisir à la faire enrager.
Anna Katmore aime écrire sur les premiers amours, ceux qui permettent de se découvrir et elle n’hésite pas à y intégrer des thématiques modernes et actuelles. Suzanne a un fort caractère mais face aux sentiments c’est parfois difficile de se trouver. Ethan est gentil, réservé, prévenant et adore jouer aux jeux vidéos mais il semble insensible aux charmes de notre héroïne et envoi des signaux contradictoires qui la troublent encore plus. Chris est l’électron libre de notre récit. Il arrive à faire sortir Suzanne des ses gonds et pourtant elle est terriblement attiré par le jeune homme. Il faut dire qu’ Ethan et Chris sont identiques physiquement reste à savoir qui fait battre le cœur de notre belle.
J’ai passé un bon moment avec ce récit même si c’est prévisible et que dès le début on connait l’issue de cette romance. Ça n’a pas gâché mon plaisir et j’ai aimé voir évoluer, grandir et s’affirmer nos personnages.
Un bon moment avec cette lecture, j’aime beaucoup cette auteure car elle va à l’essentiel, ne tourne pas vers le drame et je trouve son traitement toujours très bien veillant.

My OCD won't let me skip books in a series so I knew that I was going to have to read this one and the previous one, even if I don't want to. I do know that the characters will somehow make cameos in the next pairing since Ryan and Lisa made cameos in this book.
It's interesting to me how many reviews didn't realize that this would be the same story as the previous book. That's been the theme in this series since the beginning. Play with Me and Ryan Hunter were the same story, just one from Lisa's POV (Play with Me) and the other from Ryan's POV (Ryan Hunter). I wasn't put off by it being the same story, I expected it. With that being said, I'll basically be saying my review from the previous book below.
I like this series and I like this author. I'm a hopeless romantic and I enjoy reading books about people falling in love. This series is well written but the two main characters just weren't my favorite pairing.
Sam was a more annoying heroine who kept pining for a guy who made it clear that he wasn't interested or ready to meet someone new, especially not someone related to the girl who broke him in the first book.
With that being said, Tony wasn't a real catch either. I find him to be whiny and mopey and I truly haven't liked him from the beginning. Yes he had his moments, but they were few and far between.

Chaque tome de cette saga se déroule dans le même univers mais avec des couples différents.
Au début, j’ai craint un triangle amoureux et surtout j’avais du mal avec le comportement presque enfantin de Sue. Mais rapidement les événements m’ont fait changer d’avis.
J’ai bien aimé repartir au lycée aux côtés des personnages. J’ai beaucoup aimé Ethan, je l’ai trouvé touchant. J’ai vite compris son secret mais j’ai aimé voir comment l’autrice allait mettre ça en avant. Avec Sue, j’ai eu des hauts et des bas, autant j’ai compris pourquoi elle agissait comme ça avec les garçons, autant j’avais envie de la secouer surtout quand elle s’est fixé une idée en tête.
Ce roman est une romance, donc on sait quelle est la fin de l’histoire. Pour autant l’autrice aime mettre des rebondissements et révélations pour faire durer son histoire.
En bref, c’est une chouette romance adolescente à découvrir. Un personnage attachant et quelques révélations font tourner les pages.

In some ways, I think this book actually had a lot more drama and painful back and forth than T is For, which made me like it less. But there were a lot of cute moments, and I really like the romance that developed. I think it actually deserved the two books, whereas I don't feel the same way about the first two books in the series, despite the fact that I liked them. That being said, it still probably could have been streamlined into one book.
Oh boy, Tony's story is so much more complicated than I thought--and not necessarily in the "has depth" way, but more in the "oh boy, let me run from the drama" way. Overall, though, I still enjoyed the main romance, or at least didn't want to run away from it screaming.

I liked it, especially the solution they came to in the end.
And friendship in this group makes me desire it's kind for myself. It's just so amaizing how they help and care for each other. And how they immediately stepped in action when Chloe went missing. That's true friendship.
But as much as I love romance between Sam and Tony, I constantly found myself looking for more of Ryan Hunter and Lisa Mathews. They are still my top. Even though *spoiler* Chris and Susan aren't that far from them ether. *spoiler*

I didn't know how much I missed this couple, till I read this. Basically the whole third book was told again from reverse POVs.
The storyline was still cute, since I knew it, it was kind of nostalgic to read it again.
But maybe because I started to remember things while reading, and it took away a notch of excitement, I didn't give 5 stars to this one.

Kiss with Cherry Flavor picks up right where T is for leaves off. This book is jusk ok. I didn't love and didn't hate it. I like how Sam started to develop a bit more confidence by the end of the book especially when dealing with her family. This was a nice ending to Tony and Sam's story but the first two books were much better than this one.

Really enjoying these books, the more I read the more invested I become and the development of the characters is well documented even though I am reading about Sam and tony I love reading more about Ryan and Lisa.
I really liked he dual perspective of both Tony and Sam.
