Ben and his newly found companions are back. This time things are getting complicated for the team, when Ben finally arrives at the gates of Tallahasse, better known as "The Capital".
While Ben and Dan’s group are working to free Sarah, Kelly and Ian are having their own issues behind the walls of their secluded upscale riverside neighborhood.

The Sinking Man series, Part 3. Urban fantasy, zombies. Should be read in series order.
Ben and his trust companions travel to Tallahassee in hopes of freeing his wife, Sarah. She has been deemed vital in The Capital and not free to actually leave. They have to come up with a believable plan of getting Ben in while fighting the waves of Zombies.
Zombies seem to be everywhere the group needs to go. How is that possible? Is it everywhere? How much can Sarah add to the background? New people, more stores and supplies to be picked up and still more zombies. Ben is drinking more and there’s a problem at home too. His watch connection to his home continues to monitor his heart rate and plays music which also entertains his traveling companions. Be careful about opening doors.

"Released" by Justin S. Leslie is book three of "The Sinking Man" series. Ben has finally made it to where his wife, Sarah, is. He has to use his smarts to find a way to get her out safely. This series is so much fun, and I never thought I would say that about a zombie book. Justin has a way of writing that captures my attention, and when the book is done, I want to jump right in to the next to see what happens next. I really enjoy all the characters in this book. My favorite part/scene in this book is when Ben, Dan, and Tina are in the truck and jamming out to music.

Things really take off in this book. Up until now, I don't feel like we saw a ton of zombies, but that sheltered feeling is definitely over now. Things feel dangerous and a little scarier than in previous books, and I struggled to keep going because there were zombies around every turn. It wasn't grotesque or over the top, but knowing things were only going to get worse had me on edge. I hate to leave Ben and his crew in danger so I would for sure read more in the series!

While I will read more, I am glad this has some resolution. Ben and Sarah are reunited and they have amassed a perfect little team. I hope things continue to work out for Ben and friends!

Book three of the Sinking Man Series continues my journey listening to this zombie series by Justin S. Leslie, performed by Jarret Lemaster. I can't say enough good things about this series. The end of book two left Ian and Kelly in a predicament at Ben's house while Ben headed toward where he thought he'd find Sarah.
Ben is finally reunited with Sarah but all is not hunky-dory. There are things going on where she is that Ben doesn't understand and Sarah can't explain them right away. Lots of shocking things happened in this episode. The epilogue left me nearly on edge wanting to listen to more.

Ben makes it to Tallahassee and finds Sarah. Now they just need to figure out how to get out of the city without The Court finding out. A mysterious fire heading for the city is a great distraction for their departure. They do hit a couple snags. Ben has his suspicions about the fire that he is keeping to himself at this point. Ben and a couple of his group are starting to wonder what is up with the zombies, it seems like they are being herded. Really enjoying these stories.

Yes, I'm bingeing this series! Who knew zombies were my jam? Anyway, Ben finally makes it to Sarah despite fires and massive groups of zombies. Not sure I like Tina but anyway Ian and Kelly are also having issues. Off to read the next book!

I was so excited to start the 3rd book of The Sinking Man Series. It was captivating. The characters were fun to follow. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
