The Unity Principle: The Link between Science and Spirituality

Mystics and sages have long maintained that everything in the universe is connected and have identified consciousness as the unifying ground substance of creation. Recent discoveries in quantum physics are consistent with this worldview leading several of the “founding fathers” of quantum mechanics to embrace the concept of oneness—the Unity Principle. Modern scientific observations from the behavioral studies indicate that mind cannot be equated with brain. Hence, a new model of reality is needed that integrates modern scientific observations with the metaphysics of unity. This new model must describe how consciousness is transformed into the basic materials of creation and later into living organisms and also explain all the anomalies of the materialist model. One of the most important implications of this theory of everything is that humanity can, and must take a path towards realization of the Higher Self and ultimate union with the Creator.
