The influence of magic is back in Albara after a decades-long absence.
When a powerful evil corrupts his best friend, Thurk the orc ranger strikes out to save him.
Alongside allies old and new, the quest to break Galmar's curse begins. Thurk and his companions journey across Albara; unsure of whom they can trust, even within their own group.
All the while, a group of dangerous men is hot on their trail, waiting for their chance to strike.
Can the orc ranger end the curse and free his friend, or will the evil of the ruby prevail?
The cliffhanger! I need the follow up to this so bad! 😅
Thurk Gutarg is still healing from events in book 3 when an old friend finds himself in need of Thurk’s help. Never one to leave a friend hanging, Thurk saddles up to fight one of the hardest battles he’s ever fought.
This outing of The Orc Ranger Series is fast-paced and is hard to put down before you reach the end of this book. The challenges facing Thurk would be difficult for anyone. The added pressure of an old friend in need only adds more. I am now waiting for the next quest in The Orc Ranger Series.
The characters are somewhat different, yet blend together well when they are pitted against their foes. Good story kept me enthralled right to the end.
