A pick-a-path series giving the reader the chance to make the decisions, and choose how the story goes! For months Kitty MacLean has been crushing on Rio Sanchez – who is probably the cutest boy in the world. But it looks like she might never get a chance to hang out with him until… 1. Kitty goes camping with her best friends like she promised them, and finds out Rio just happens to be staying not too far away. But should she meet up with him? Or is a grubby camping holiday not the best time to meet up with your mega crush? OR 2. Kitty breaks her promise to go camping with her besties and goes to Paradise Point with popular-girl Persephone instead. The offer is sweetened with a promise they’ll definitely get to hang out with Rio. But would Kitty really ditch her friends to hang out with a cool girl? And will Rio even like Kitty?

The concept behind this book is really cool! I love the idea of being able to pick your own storyline, which essentially ends with many different endings!
However, this particular book didn't do it for me. The storyline was poorly written, rushed and quite boring. I do believe however that a younger age group would really love this story, and the concept of choosing your own path - I think I'm just a little old for this particular book.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone between the age of 10 - 13, it's a really quick read that can be made fun by choosing different decisions each time.
i could literally not put this book down!!!!! 'how to get to Rio' when i first got this book, the title was obvious, but don't judge a book by its cover, as this book takes a magical leap, that was totally unexpected! Kitty Macleacn has had a huge crush on a boy in her class, who is probably the cutest guy in the world. But it looks like she might never get a chance to be with him. until YOU have to make your own choice, would you ditch your best friends to hang out with your crush? or would you stay with your friends and break the chance of ever getting to know him? with one would you choose? because now the entire book is in your hands. in this jaw-dropping book YOU will make Kitty's decisions for her, and choose how the story goes. Follow your heart right to the end or go back and choose all over again! i promise you will not be Disserpointed!

Wow! I absolutely love the fact that you can choose your own ending to the story, and that you can go back and choose another path. I’ve read all the ‘choose you own ever after’ and this is the one that I really enjoyed. I hope Julie Fison gets the idea to write a new book!!!
Very cute. I think it’s a stupid idea to say all those bad things about camping - it would make most people not want to go. The friends acted to childish about the tiniest of things. I liked that it was more of a story than having choices every other page.
I liked reading this because I liked making the decisions for the character. Also when you're done you can go back and try a new path I have some of the series and they are great.
Ive owned this for a while. And by a while I mean literal years. It peaked my interest at one point but something stopped from going all the way through. But i finally have.
Ok so this was wonderful and i had trouble putting it down. I love everything about it including the writing ,characters, plot, and even the system where i get to make the choices myself.
It is written in a way that really makes yu think about the choices you make. I wanted Kitty to go to PP but I actually felt a twinge of guilt and when to the campgrounds instead.
One of my favorite things about the choice system is that the story is written so that yu dont regret your choice. You get good and bad no matter what you choose.
Another thing is that no matter the choice yu make (skip this paragraph to skip SPOILERS) Paradise Point and The Lost World aka campgrounds are connected.
When yu make a choice the author doesnt completely take away what yu might have missed out on. Things are just presented to the reader in a different way depending on the choices yu make.
It is reccomended that the reader try reading in multiple ways and im doing that. If yu want to reread as well to make different choices I reccomend skipping to the page where yu make the first choice and make a different one.
Overall this is one of my first experiences with this type of book and I was not let down. The only downfall is that the read might be kind of short and the ending isn't as dramatic or final as a normal ending in a book.
The experience is similar to reading a short stoy from a book filled with short stories.
Adorei o conceito do livro.
Every school library needs this book to please its 4th grade and up crowd (probably girls). This is a Pick Your Own Path story in which Kitty, a middle school student who is crushing on a boy, Rio, has to choose between going camping with her friends and going to a holiday resort with a popular, wealthy girl from school. The story splits at Kitty's decision point and both scenarios lead to realistic and good conclusions. This is a lighthearted and positive book that soon-to-be middle schoolers will eat up. First published in Australia.
This book was a fantastic read... AT THE START!!!!!i found it really exciting to pick my own path in the story although my path made me finish halfway through the book, it ended poorly and the outcome was expected. But i did feel connected whilst reading, almost that I was one of the characters. I think if i was to go back and chose a different path i would of enjoyed the book much better. But to those who want to read a romantic book about young 'love' this book is perfect for you. Perfect read for young adults aged around 11-14.

This book was good for the audience it was written for, teen girls. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it much more had I been in that demographic. As it was, it was still a decent read. I liked being able to choose the story line and read through it a couple times making different choices as I went. That being said, the characters were a little flat and slightly unbelievable. I would recommend it for a pre-teen or teen girl for a nice, light read.
Another "Choose Your Own Ever After"! This again was a book I read when I was 11 or 12 and thought the world of it. Now it isn't a book I would read but would recommend to anyone interested in the basic girl likes boy story - a middle school romance really.
If that tickles your fancy than this book is definitely for you!
Cool book, I love pick a path books and need to go through every path so this book took a while. If you have never done a pick a path book then I recommend this!! Or any others. I would say ages 9 to 13.
The perfect beach read for teens. I really liked having lots of choices to make in the book. The characters reminded me of girls I know! I'd recommend it to girls who like fun, short stories.
