A UNIVERSAL SIGN WILL APPEAR PRECEDING THE APPEARANCE OF GOD.
A PERMANENT SIGN WILL REMAIN – WONDROUS AND INEXPLICABLE ON EARTHLY TERMS
The world's reckoning with God is imminent. Anna Babic Robbins, a Marian visionary from the remote Adriatic village, Valselo, is entrusted with the mission of delivering a parchment that documents unprecedented future events to a Chicago parish priest. The priest is charged with "shepherding" mankind to fulfill God's plan.
Four devoted friends since grammar school at the Chicago suburban St. Mary Academy, the “Belles of St. Mary’s”: Bernadette O’Neal, a local television journalist on the Now Chicago show, married to an atheist; Tina Hernandez, a teacher at the women’s high school alma mater, married to a former teacher falsely accused of child molestation; Marlo Waters, a single supermodel; and Laci Marshall, the CFO for a non-profit organization engaged to a homicide detective, visit Las Vegas for Laci’s lavish bachelorette party when the universal sign appears.
When God speaks, He whispers in the form of a seven-day, worldwide, impossible snowfall.
The women and their loved ones witness the spectacle of the permanent sign, join humanity in facing judgment “before the throne” immediately after the sign appears, and grapple with how best to alter their lives before it’s too late after a preview of final judgment.
WHEN GIVEN BY THE CREATOR HIMSELF, WILL THE HUMAN RACE TAKE THE SECOND CHANCE?
Kay and Mickey Lynch gave birth to two daughters - US. Patricia Noel was born in their native city, Bronx, New York, but only resided there while in the hospital nursery. The little family moved to a two family house in New Jersey - Kay and Mickey's "house in the country". Three and a half years later Kathleen Ann was born and the Lynch family was complete.
Our parents' names might sound familiar to you. That's because we made a promise to each other to name characters in each of our books after our mom and dad - whether they just have cameos or they get to have some fun as secondary characters. This way they live on in our pages as well as our hearts.
Daddy was a doorman for the exclusive Fifth Avenue designer, Hattie Carnegie, until her death and the close of her shop. A natural born storyteller, he would regale us with stories of the famous people he helped into and out of the shop every day: the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Jackie "O" (before she was a Kennedy or an Onassis) and Lucille Ball. We extended an invitation to Lucy and Desi to come for dinner and watch "I Love Lucy" with us and we could never understand why that never happened.
Mickey started his own paint contracting business in town and Mike The Painter was much beloved by his clients. In his spare time he wrote children's books that delighted us. He died when we were teenagers and Kay never remarried. After she died, we self-published three of our favorite stories available through online retailers in eBook format (author, Michael Lynch)
We were young when Daddy died and Mom was nearly destroyed with grief. It fostered an "us against the world" mentality that lives on today in our special bond with each other. We relish "sister time"..
Kathie married Tom and gave birth to two sons Tom and Michael. Kathie is the proud "Nana" of five grandchildren. In addition to heading a small human resources services company, Kathie is a naturalist and volunteer in sea turtle and seal rescue in Outer Banks, North Carolina.
Pat married and had two daughters, Jen and Emilie. She divorced ten years later. Then she married Nick Casiello. Aside from gaining a perfect husband (in her opinion) she also gained a son, Brian. She is the founder and President of three relocation benefits management corporations. Pat and Nick co-run the small businesses and live in the western suburbs of Chicago.

Miraculous Signs A Message From God Will The World Listen
Do you not have to be religious to enjoy this novel.
STORY LINE:
Three children in Croatia, Anna, Elizabeta, and Josip, receive visitations from The Lords Mother, Mary. They continued to commune with her through adulthood. Anna, the only one to know the full details, is commanded to deliver 7 prophesies, known as the Marian Prophesies or The Prophecies of Valselo, to God's messenger, Father Mark McKenzie. Father McKenzie has known of these children and made pilgrimages to Croatia. He was unaware of his part in the prophesy until contacted by Anna.
Four childhood friends are in Vegas for a good time bachelorette party. They have all led different lives and have drifted apart in some ways. Two are hiding huge secrets, one is a reporter and will be used by God, and one has a very unhappy life with a former teacher falsely accused of molestation.
Their lives are about to take an unexpected turn, as are the lives of everyone in the world, as God's messages unfold. They will be at the right place at the right time all according to God's plan. The first miracle message is a world-wide snow. But a snow as no other has ever appeared, which begins at the precise time all over the world.
CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, AND DEVELOPMENT:
The Daugther's characters are very believable and are portrayed as normal people. Bernadette is a reporter and married to atheist Glen; Marlo is a renowned fashion model, Tina is married to a depressed, abusive, and possibly mentally ill, former teacher accused falsely of molestation, and Laci is engaged to Detective Joe Corello. Joe is investigating serial murders of sixteen-year-old girls while Laci is celebrating their coming marriage in Vegas. Each character has emotional and life struggles of their own. Each will have to come to terms with their life and decide which path to follow as the authors weave this wonderful tale. Every soul on earth will stand before God; will they heed his message?
The character development was very good and the plotting and pacing was well done. The authors had many threads in this story and wove them into a cohesive tale along with twists and turns that will hold your interest throughout the novel. The authors kept me reading long into the night. What an ending, my mouth fell open; what an unexpected ending to this novel! I am immediately going to buy book 1, Left At The Altar.
RECOMMENDATION:
You do not need to have an interest in religion or be religious to enjoy this novel. Nor is it necessary to read book 1 first, it is a stand alone novel. It was very good book and I would recommend this book to anyone that likes an intriguing story line with twists and turns. The premise could very well happen to us at any time if God decides to give us one more chance.
I received this book from Readingalley in return for an honest book review.
Books reviews of any novel are dependent on the book review author's opinion; book reviews on line and on my blog, are my opinion.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
K. M. Daugthers is a writing of team of sisters, Pat Casiello and Kathie Clare nee Lynch. They created this writing team in 2005 combining their father and mother initials K and M at the 2005 Romance Writers Conference. They plotted their first manuscript at this conference. They have gone on to be successful authors of at least 12 books.
When this wholesome, seemingly religious story started to spread its fingers out in its many directions in a surprisingly strong storyline, I felt a bit of a sceptic as to where it would lead, but open enough to see how far it would go.... In the beginning I was led gently by the hand to meet, ponder and contemplate each new players life in a evolving story of many ordinary people confronted with the unknown, some of them came with faith and some without, along with those who thought they knew and those who really did.. Yet, as the pieces started to weave together, the story appears to revolve more and more around a deep, long-term friendship between four school friends, whom although having remained companions, in one form or another over the years, had drifted apart as each of their lives evolved into its different paths on their journeys through life... That was until a wonderful but confusing event pulled them back together to help them show the world the truth and to understand that it was ok to come together and heal, each in their own ways, yet ultimately become one under God. This story doesn't preach faiths nor promote religion, just wants us to understand the way and the why of god and the happiness of believing. In the end even I had a tear in my eye and joy in my heart ......

Being a Christian, I have sometimes thought about the end of the world or Judgement Day. At that time, as I'm led to believe, there's no more second chances. But here in this story, people are given a second chance, heralded by the sign, to change their lives. Specifically, it touched on four friends with different situations and how they responded to this event. Would they repent and make a change or go on as before?
Inspirational and thought-provoking! Causes me to pause and reflect on my life. Well-written and easy to read! The author gives lots of attention to details and vivid and clear descriptions such that it seems I was there in person. Throughout the book, we can see the growth and development of each character in believable ways. This book is not a romance; it's women's fiction, and though the story is long, it's not boring as we go through the ups and downs of each woman's life, and perhaps find something that parallels to our own.
The Snows is a very enjoyable, heartwarming read that has left me uplifted, touched, and wanting for more!
It is a story of 4 longtime close friends who cheerfully meet up for a get-together, reminiscing on fun times about their past. But underneath their seemingly successful exterior, each of them are dealing with their own struggles, something they would rather not want to share even among close friends. Then a life-changing experience occurs with a spiritual encounter with God. Their struggles are slowly exposed, and the story shifts to how each of them is touched by this encounter and how they respond to it afterwards.
Even with a seemingly heavy theme, it is a light, entertaining read. There are many things I really like about this story.
It is storytelling at its finest — the writing is superbly done! There are absolutely no boring or dragging parts. Each chapter moves from one character to another, but with a fluidity that would not confuse you and would keep you wanting to continue reading well into the night! I stayed up till 3am on many a night struggling to put the book down.

When you know that the end of the world is coming, what will you do? The book talks about four close friends, who have their own issues that they need to face, and how they respond knowing that the end of the world is coming.
The story is well written and the author writes the characters in detail, allowing us to go through their experiences as if we were really there. The author gives a lot of attention to detail and the issues that are challenging the characters are relevant to our times. The story warms the heart and fills the reader with hope.
The book will make you think, what will your response be if it were you in their shoes...

Review copy provided via Reading Alley in exchange for an honest review. Enlightening and Inspiring 'The Snows' took me a few days to read, but I am glad I stuck with it. It began sort of slow in the beginning, having to gather the characters and establish a story. In the end, you're glad you read it and are a 'believer' in the power of prayer, religion, a belief system and purity in its highest form - no matter the form your belief is rooted in. The story was enlightening in a way that wasn't shoving religious beliefs down your throat, but allowing you to see from varying positions that the Supreme Being is there for you.
