This was the darkest and eeriest collection of the author so far. You'll learn about the horrors in a nursery home (awesome tale you'll never forget), jump to conclusions on a cheating wife and her lover, read about the final days of a terminal ill girl in a very moving tale. Then it even gets weirder. "Best Man" can described as coffin confession, "Alone Time" sees Barbara acting bizarre in her run down home, "Great Expectations" with it's strange characters and their relationship is my personal highlight. The last two stories "Ghost Writer" and "Cash on Delivery" are outstanding too. Highly recommended stuff, the best so far in this series! Of course I'll continue with the last volume soon...
Another crazy and twisted ride with Jayne. I love these short stories, there are always a couple I don't care for but the others make up for them. This woman has quite the imagination for horror, I sure hope she continues these books. Try them all! kozettekaysmith
