Frank Weber is a forensic psychologist who has completed assessments for homicide, sexual assault, and domestic abuse cases. His work has ranged from assessing murderers chained to the cement floor in the basement of a prison and assessing psychopaths to providing therapy for wealthy professionals who’ve engaged in multiple affairs. He has testified as an expert witness in numerous sexual assault and homicide cases, written seven different treatment workbooks, and in 2015 published a training series for psychologists which has been accredited by the MN Board of Psychology. He has received the President’s Award from the Minnesota Correctional Association for his forensic work, and recently received an award for excellence in his clinical work. Frank Weber has used his unique understanding of how predator’s think, victim trauma, and actual court cases to create a thrilling mystery.
Raised in Pierz, Minnesota, Frank is one of ten children. Frank has been blessed to share his life with his wife, Brenda. His debut novel, Murder Book (North Star Press), will be available in May, 2017.
This one is hard for me to rate. True Crime is not my preferred genre nor is anything extremely and perpetually abusive. There are ample characters for a couple of novels so it was good to have a list and brief description of each in the first few pages. It is intriguing the many creative ways criminals find to commit crimes, drive sane people crazy and take advantage of normal, non-criminal humans. If you enjoy true crime and you are familiar with the Twin Cities, you will likely find it a good read. You may even be able to figure out the crime-of-the-past that served as Frank’s canvas.
Frank Weber did another fantastic job on this book. His characters keep you on your toes with their actions and stupidity. Tug Grant, who was accused of hiring someone to murder his wife, and his lawyer Taytum Hanson are trying to get him out of prison. And they succeed. Now we have a whole new set of problems as Tug remarries a rich woman and starts quietly stealing her money. Along with this action are other people involved with the two of them. Jon Frederick and his wife, Serena, along with other law enforcement work together to solve Tug's murder and other crimes such as Medicare fraud. There is a kidnapping, multiple murders, and plenty of other action to keep your hear racing as you read. I can't wait until Frank's next book comes out
Thank you, Frank F Weber for my advanced, signed copy. I have to say this isn't my usual type of book, but I gave it a chance and did like it. Was hard to follow all the characters, so glad you had them listed with descriptions. I did frequently go back to the list until I had most of them figured out 🤔
Loved. If half stars were awarded I would probably rate The Sun a 4.5/5. Possibly my fav Frank Weber true crime yet???? Can we have a book on how Tony was injured? That could be very interesting. Sad to say…. Not excited to wait a whole year to read the next one!
Murder Book is a gripping, expertly crafted mystery that draws on Frank Weber’s deep forensic psychology expertise. With chilling realism and sharp storytelling, Weber takes readers inside the mind of both predator and investigator. A must-read for true crime and thriller fans!
Frank Weber you did it again, this book had me wanting to keep reading. Melanie was a character you had to root for and hoped that she made it out of all the messes she got into. Jon and Serena lead the pack in the investigation and prepare to take down the bad guys. Good read, highly recommend!
Taytum Hanson is a beautiful lawyer with connections to everyone. Jon & Serena Fredrick are 2 of the investigators for her case. Told through multiple viewpoints, this story will keep your attention.
All I can say is this book was amazing. Anything by this author is amazing. I have a psych degree so hearing any psych stuff always gets me excited. Well done Frank F Weber for another great book.
I enjoyed The Sun, as I have enjoyed all of Frank Weber’s books. He sneaks in a little education between plots, and brings in familiar characters. He says his stories are true; they seem to be more of an amalgamation of cases. They are certainly entertaining. I hope he writes more.
