Another volume of Deadpool comes to an end. This volume was quite enjoyable… pretty funny. Not great. OK, though. Whatever.

Essentially one extended fight scene spread across three issues, as Wade, Ellie, and Taskmaster take on Death Grip for all the marbles. There's some fun dialogue, and the exchange with Solem in the first issue is fun, but most of this run has already been fight scenes, so it doesn't feel like anything particularly new.

Wade's attempts to parent Ellie aren't bad, and attempt to dig into something with a little more substance, but there's just not enough page space to have that and the big fight as well, especially since the B plot about Doug and the water cooler rat keeps popping up every few pages for no reason.

There are also some extra stories included, since issue #15 was also Legacy #350 - the Ziglar one about Princess is fun, the Duggan one is neither here nor there, and the Samurai one has zero context for who any of the characters are if you've not read the manga before (like me).

This run's been okay - but never really much more than that.

Read as single issues. I'm actually happy that this volume is over. This is one of the worst Deadpool runs in a long time, let's hope for a better writer in the next volume.
