That year she released her first three books and started a career that would make her a New York Times bestseller and land her on the USA Today Bestseller’s List eighteen times in the next three years. Her books have sold millions of copies all over the world, the audio version of her semi-autobiographical book, Eighteen, was nominated for a Voice Arts Award and an Audie award in 2016 and 2017 respectively, her audiobook Mr. Perfect was nominated for a Voice Arts Award in 2017, and her book, Taking Turns, was nominated for an Audie Award in 2018. The second installment in the Social Media series was even better than the first! More filthy tweets, more things we learn about both characters (particularly Vaughn), and more scorching hot sex!
Grace and Vaughn are both in a different place then they were in Follow.
Grace is home after abruptly leaving St. Thomas. She’s going on with her life, she’s started her new job and she’s back to her pre-Vaughn self.
Or she would be… If only Vaughn would quit harassing her via Twitter. Now that he know’s her handle, he’s using it to his advantage. He know’s thats the best way to get to her.
I loved the ‘twexting’ between Vaughn and Grace… and the fact that she called it ‘twexting’!
In Follow, it was surprisingly Grace that stole the show for me. In Like? It was 100% Vaughn. It was the little things (key word here is Starbucks- he won my heart)
There was a fair amount of steamy scenes and that was all great, but I loved getting more from Vaughn. We learn something pretty big about him off the bat and it made me love him even more!
It’s very obvious Grace and Vaughn have fantastic sexual chemistry, but it’s more than that. They both actually like each other now. But Grace and Vaughn also have a power struggle. So you’re left wondering if Grace can let Vaughn take control and be the dominate man he’s always been, or if he’ll give a little and let Grace take over some of that control outside of the bedroom? I guess only time will tell.
I know I said it before, but it bears repeating- I love the concept of this story! It’s so original. This is the perfect combination of light, fun and sexy with something extra there. I’m still waiting for Grace’s past and secrets to come out… As for the ending. Not a bad cliffy, but still left me wanting so much more of these two! I am anxiously waiting for Block

I am really enjoying this series.
Let me just say that so far, any book I've read by J.A. Huss, I have truly loved and found to be very entertaining. This Social Media series is no exception. I don't think that this is a mind blowing story but it's just simply very good, and delicious smut!!!
Vaughn and Grace have gone back to their homes and their normal routines, but Vaughn can't seem to get Grace off his mind. He is dying to have her again. He wants desperately for her to sign his NDA and agree to be his SUB. The trouble is, she is not sold on this scenario. She is making him work for her attention and this bad boy Hollywood actor is not used to this kind of behavior from any woman.
After a few arguments over the phone, things start to heat up again. Grace finds it very hard to keep saying "no" to Vaughn and eventually they have a couple of steamy twitter conversations, using the dirtiest hashtags ever!! Then there is some pretty hot phone sex and naughty pics are exchanged via sexting.
Vaughn decides he is going to make Grace his willing SUB, so he shows up on her doorstep in Denver. OMG!! Now we get to the actual sex. This man has no sexual hangups and he is a true exhibitionist. He's trying to make Grace admit that she also likes the thrill of maybe being caught in the act. So there is a scene in the hallway of her apartment building, and I am cringing. My heart was almost beating out of my chest when her neighbor was just moments away from catching them in a compromising position. There are also some pretty steamy scenes on the rooftop of her apartment. Let me just say these scenes had this girl here turning a few shades of red!!
It's getting harder for Grace to fight her attraction to Vaughn and even though his idea of a relationship is so far from what is her ideal, I have a feeling that in the end it's going to be Vaughn that will probably tear up that NDA and who will give his heart completely over to Grace. We learn a couple of things about how he is in his personal life that just have me convinced he will do away with his non commitment ways in the end.

In this second installment we (finally) get to see a little more into Vaughn and Grace’s personal lives and it’s nice to know them a little more. We see a development in their relationship that they’re both to stubborn to admit and, as always, we have some scorching hot scenes!!

Like is the second installment and picks up with Vaughn back in Los Angeles and Grace in Denver. Grace is ready to move on with her life, when she receives tweets from Vaughn.
Vaughn isn’t ready to move on, he can’t quit thinking about the one who got away. Now I am not referring to his one great love, no this is the great fuck that got away.
This installment is hot, very hot!
So we obviously get hot sex, but we also get to see that Vaughn Asher may be more then just a self-centered movie star.
I am seriously loving this series, it original and I am looking forward to see where things are going next.

4.5 #LovingWhereThisIsGoing Stars
So we continue with Grace and Vaughn back in the states. Grace is back in Denver as a party planner and Vaughn is back in LA being a movie star. For reasons he is unsure of, Vaughn can't get Grace out of his head. He is relentlessly pursuing her and she is wishing he would fall off a cliff. But the tweeting and phone calls between these two is hot and heavy. Their banter is funny, sexy, sweet, angry, and catalytic. But Grace is not a normal submissive but Vaughn is intrigued and fascinated by her. This couple has a connection, you can feel it- it's a love/hate relationship.
We get to know more of Vaughn in this installment. Some very interesting things that really shocked me and I must say that I fell in love with him. He's so very cocky but he's got some sweetness also. I knew there was potential from Follow but Like confirmed my thoughts about him. While there is still more to know about him, he gets 5 #ShowingYouCareSide stars from me.

I love Grace. She is feisty and doesn't hesitate to put Vaughn in his place. I know she has secrets. I know that she struggles with the D/s scenario but that trepidation and her strength and confidence makes her appealing. She just doesn't roll over, she has a voice, she wants to submit but is it really who she is? While she has confirmed Vaughn is an Ass in Follow, he does some really incredible things in Like that shows he has a genuine side to him.

Five #SOHF Stars!
Grace has fled back home after her encounter with Vaughn, but he isn’t one to give up to easily. Now that he knows that Grace is @FilthyBlueBird and he’s seen every tweet that she’s sent his way, well let’s just say that he is more than willing to make each and every one of those tweets into a reality.
One of the things I love most about this series thus far is that it is so different from what I have come to expect from JA Huss. Sometimes authors can find themselves tucked neatly into a box and coloring outside of those lines can be difficult after creating such fan base that has come to expect a certain type of book. Well, I say fuck that. I don’t want to read the same book with new characters... I want to see the author experiment, to stretch her comfort zone until it is unrecognizable. I want something new and fresh when I pick up a book and with Social Media that is exactly what I am getting.
Both Grace and Vaughn are starting to take shape, we haven’t yet gotten the entire picture of just who they are. With Like, we see a few new sides of Vaughn that make you wonder just what his game is, why the BDSM agreements, the control... what is it that is ultimately driving his needs. Let’s face it, when it comes to his interaction with Grace he is far from strict when she fights his demands. But I think that is part of the allure. The challenge she presents. The ability that she has to make him give up a bit of his typical MO to get what he wants. I sense that there is something far greater going on that drives him to be this man.
We know Grace’s past is still cloaked in mystery. Her ability to be forward and wanton when it comes to key strokes but not so much when it is right in front of her in the flesh. There is a reason why she hides behind a twitter handle, a reason why she is so reluctant to give Vaughn what he wants... what she’s wanted for years.
The second installment of Social Media gives us some more Vaughn & Grace sexy-time. With the story moving forward a bit, eluding to some exciting times to come. And with the next book in the series titled Block, I can only imagine what Vaughn is going to do to cause Grace to make yet another 180 – I can’t wait to find out!

Now that he knows that Grace is @FilthyBlueBird and he’s seen every tweet that she’s sent his way, well let’s just say that he is more than willing to make each and every one of those tweets into a reality.
One of the things I love most about this series thus far is that it is so different from what I have come to expect from JA Huss. Sometimes authors can find themselves tucked neatly into a box and coloring outside of those lines can be difficult after creating such fan base that has come to expect a certain type of book. Well, I say fuck that. I don’t want to read the same book with new characters... I want to see the author experiment, to stretch her comfort zone until it is unrecognizable. I want something new and fresh when I pick up a book and with Social Media that is exactly what I am getting.
Both Grace and Vaughn are starting to take shape, we haven’t yet gotten the entire picture of just who they are. With Like, we see a few new sides of Vaughn that make you wonder just what his game is, why the BDSM agreements, the control... what is it that is ultimately driving his needs. Let’s face it, when it comes to his interaction with Grace he is far from strict when she fights his demands. But I think that is part of the allure. The challenge she presents. The ability that she has to make him give up a bit of his typical MO to get what he wants. I sense that there is something far greater going on that drives him to be this man.
We know Grace’s past is still cloaked in mystery. Her ability to be forward and wanton when it comes to key strokes but not so much when it is right in front of her in the flesh. There is a reason why she hides behind a twitter handle, a reason why she is so reluctant to give Vaughn what he wants... what she’s wanted for years.
The second installment of Social Media gives us some more Vaughn & Grace sexy-time. With the story moving forward a bit, eluding to some exciting times to come. And with the next book in the series titled Block, I can only imagine what Vaughn is going to do to cause Grace to make yet another 180 – I can’t wait to find out!

He senses the submissive side within her, he is pushing her limits to see how far she will go. Grace doesn't willingly submit though! She has her terms in order for him to dominate her. She is fierce, stubborn, independent and above all rebellious. She loves the mind games, she likes to obey but she just can’t trust Vaughn. He’s overpowering, controlling who doesn't do relationships, has a fetish for public sex but Vaughn is persistent on what he wants. This one was way better than the first one for me. I loved knowing a little bit more about Grace and Vaughn. I also really loved seeing Vaughn want more from Grace then just a few nights of fun. Really enjoyed this one and the scorching hot scenes between them. One to the next.

J.A. Huss' Social Media series is a study in self-reflection and a rearranging of thoughts and priorities. Who knew that, only two novellas in to this six-novella series, I'd be so invested in these two people and rooting for them so hard to figure their issues out? It's a credit to JA Huss' master story telling, certainly. This series is about so much more than sex. It's got so much more substance than what you expect when you read the dust jacket.
Grace thinks she's seen the last of Vaughn Asher after she left him without a goodbye. She didn't know how persistent he is, and she doesn't realize how much she's gotten under his skin. Why would she? He's a gorgeous movie star with a bazillion dollars in the bank. She's a nobody from Colorado. So, no one is more surprised than she when Vaughn starts blowing up her Twitter account. It soon becomes clear to her that Vaughn isn't going away, and Grace isn't quite sure how she feels about that.
Vaughn Asher is one of the most frustrating characters I've ever encountered. It's clear to me that there are several sides to him, and they are completely dichotomous to one another. Vaughn loves his sister fiercely, and I love that about him. He's concerned for her happiness, and he trusts her completely. He also has a sweet and surprising relationship with Felicity. I could love THAT Vaughn very easily.
It's the other Vaughn - the one he shows Grace - that I take issue with. Vaughn covets his privacy and his control above all else, which doesn't allow room for any of the other wonderful things that Grace could bring out in him. Like, love, for instance. Why is Vaughn so resistant? He admits to himself that Grace is amazing, and he feels drawn to her like no one else before. So, why does he believe that he can't have a romantic relationship? That this contractual agreement that he wants so badly with Grace is all he can give? Through his relationships with the other women in his life, it's clear that he's capable of so much more. It's maddening that Vaughn thinks that an NDA and a weekend of hot, somewhat deviant sex, every other month or so is all he can give.
Vaughn is a smart guy. He never lies to Grace. In fact, he's always blatantly honest with her. What sparked some intense anger in me is that he wraps that up in a pretty package with gifts and money and calls it "commitment" and "protection" and "caring" and just expects Grace to fall at his feet in unquestionable acceptance. Well, maybe after their first meeting, he doesn't exactly expect that from her - he knows she's feistier than his usual flavors of the month. But, he wants that badly from her, and he's willing to couch it in any way he can to gain her acceptance. He is a master manipulator, and we see his mad skillz in that area come out in spades in Like.
What is even more frustrating is that, although Grace continues questioning Vaughn's motives and her own desires, she relents on some particular demands that I felt she shouldn't have. Vaughn's hipocracy blew me away in Like. He expects certain things from Grace that he's not willing to provide himself. And, when she calls him out on them, he distracts her with pretty words and his talented hands. Damn his hands! Grace does give him some ground, and rightfully so, I think. After examining how she feels, she decides that it's okay if Vaughn wants to be the boss in bed. But, her life is her own. And, when she states her position on that matter, I cheered her on.
"In bed, fine. Be the caveman. But in life, no. I'm sorry. I'm in charge of that. I make my own decisions and you live with them."
But, Vaughn manages to talk circles around Grace until she's so dizzy, she starts walking in the opposite direction from where she was at the end of Follow. Where Grace was the one to leave Vaughn and have the last word in Follow, the tables turned in Like, and the control that Vaughn so desperately craves is back in his possession.
For once, I want someone to rock HIS world, shake HIS foundation and teach HIM a thing or two about relationships. I think the perfect person for that job is Grace, but she needs to find her voice again and use it. Based on the title of the next novella in the series - BLOCK - I'm hoping that is exactly what happens. I have hope for these two. I've seen enough in both of them to know that they'd be amazing together if they could just find some common ground.

Vaughn is relentless in pursuing Grace. Grace tries her best to ignore him, but she is slowly "submitting" to him.
The banter between them is funny, sweet, and off the charts sexy and hot!
I can't wait for the next novella "Block"!

I was fortunate enough to win an advanced copy of Like. That being said it's a bit daunting to be the first review especially since I am not a professional reviewer.
So let's go back to the first book Follow for a second. I really really wanted Vaughn to be my next book boyfriend, but I'm not gonna lie he was such an asshole especially when he was playing his "games" with Grace right in front of his family and they knew about his games. I pretty much hated him for that.
In Like we get to see some other sides of Vaughn and he is much more likable. Yay he maybe can be my book boyfriend.
My favorite part of the book was the twitter posts and hashtags between Vaughn and Grace. This becomes the witty banter between the two and I have a thing for witty banter, but witty banter using hashtags is so so genius. See that is some great twitter banter shit and it gets so so much better. Finally you get some steamy scenes and dominate Vaughn is in da house. This book was a fun evolution of Grace and Vaughns story and I am so looking forward to the next book.

I'm so in love with this series, it is so unique and different. I can't wait to see where this story goes!
Grace is now home after leaving Vaughn in St. Thomas, and she is starting her new job. However, Vaughn is now aware of Grace's twitter handle. He knows she is @FilthyBlueBird, and holy cow he has seen her history of all of the naughty tweets she has sent his way! This just makes Vaughn want Grace more.
In part 2 of the Social Media Series we are now getting to see Vaughn and Grace really starting to come together. Her lust for Vaughn hasn't changed and Vaughn just wants her all the more. I love how these two characters interact with each other. Grace is a little spitfire and doesn't take shit from Vaughn, but she is struggling with her want and need to submit to him. I think we are going to start getting a better look at what is driving Vaughn to need control. I'm so excited for these two!
Vaughn is so hot in this book there is no need for panties ladies! He's absolutely addicting!
If it was even possible Like is even better than Follow! JA is absolutely one amazing author. I can't wait to delve more into this series!

Well, I definitely liked the evolution of the characters more in 'Follow' but I find the level of immaturity not a very good starting place for any sort of relationship between these two characters. If it's one bound on trust/lust, then maybe they have a short term chance at a satisfying tryst. But, Vaughn deep down wants more than he's getting. While Grace is seriously just a big MESS! We're talking years of therapy. Let's see what sort of authorial magic transpires next...

Holy shit, that was hot!
I liked the second book of the Social Media series, even more than first one! I could understand Grace's hesitation and her feelings towards Vaughn. He couldn't take no as an answer on the first book & it seems that he keeps being determined to make her his sub on the second book as well.
At first, he 'attacks' her through Twitter. He tries to pursue her with different tweets, that I honestly adored! Their twitter sexting, god it was so brilliant!

Another Five Star Sizzling Hit for JA Huss!
Why am I always amazed by JA Huss? I should be used to her innovated twists, amazing characters, and downright sizzling chemistry! Yet, in her latest book in the Social Media series, that picks up where FOLLOW left off, I was blown away again.
I expected to get to know more about Vaughn Asher, Grace's long-time celebrity crush. What I did not expect is that he has a human side, which he keeps completely separate from the rest of his personality. Once again, both Grace and Vaughn are struggling with the feelings they have for each other. On one hand, their interactions are smoking hot! On the other, they continue to get to know one another against their better judgement.
I can't even express how what seems to be a fate-based set of events can become so REAL, so a BELIEVABLE that you are sucked right back in to Grace and Vaughn's world.
I am dying to get my hands on BLOCK, the next book in the series!!!

In Like, we get a view of who Grace and Vaughn are in real life. Grace is starting her new job as an events coordinator and we are with her as she makes her way to her new office, via Starbucks. Vaughn is taking care of daily business - things like lunching with his agent. Tweeting naughty things to Grace - causing an online twitter-ama. But Like gives a larger view of Vaughn's life. We get a glimpse of the real man, his caring and compassionate side - which give us reason to like him even if Grace isn't privy to all this information yet. And then we spend a night with Grace and Vaughn. A night - a date - that they might have had if Grace hadn't bugged out of St. Thomas so quickly. The evening is sweet and romantic - even it its primary goal is to have Grace sign the NDA.
Grace is still as feisty as ever. But she does bend a little for Vaughn. Of course, she gets a few things she wants out of the deal so I didn't feel like she gave in. Bottom line is,
"Grace might be a true submissive, but she will not submit easily because she hates that part of her."
Seeing the true Vaughn was enlightening and reassuring. That he truly does care for others - he's not entirely narcissistic - and getting more insight into what he wants from and for Grace, changed my perception of him a little...for the better. But why, oh why can't he show this side of himself to Grace a little more?? Must he always come across as a dick?
"Can't she see I'm playing?"
No Vaughn, Grace can't. And neither could I. After reading Like, I can begin to wrap my head around him a little. I knew there were redeeming qualities underneath the a$$hole exterior. I was happy to see some of them.
"He sorta stuns me. He's overpowering, and controlling, and bossy. But at the same time, he's got this charm about him."
"Vaughn Asher might, just maybe, be a decent guy."
Ms. Huss, again you ROCK my world. And with each successive book, the tremor gets stronger. Like you said in the EoBS, this is just the beginning for Grace and Vaughn. But I'm thanking you now for sharing such a unique story, meticulously planned and executed with your talent and wit. I'm very eager to be along for the ride.
**I did receive an early copy in exchange for an honest review. However, I also pre-ordered my very own copy. :)
