I've often been asked how I'm inspired to write about werewolves, immortals, and zombies. The answer is easy. I adore them.

Be it the Wolf Town Guardians or the Endurers, these characters have been a joy to write about.

My Thoughts - Story
Shit…what a heart-felt story. I cried – I bawled my eyes out and I couldn’t help but fall in love with these characters. Amanda broke my heart – such a selfless character and Ryker – the feelings he had for her.

It’s been such a long time that I picked up a book about werewolves and I was so pleasantly surprised that the storyline wasn’t saturated by the paranormal aspect.

This was gripping – you know, I can’t even put into words how this author took a subject and kneaded it into a captivating, thought provoking, emotional story. I can’t do this book justice and the only thing I can say is to pick this up if you are looking for a tear jerker/feel good story.

The only complaint I have with the book is the ending…I didn’t like how the last chapter abruptly ended and then the epilogue started. I would have liked the story to go on to tie up the loose ends.

Re-Cap
Amanda is in a bad relationship and her life is falling down all around her. That is until she meets her knight in shining armor who notices something different in her and decides to help. Ryker wants to save her but ends up falling in love with her. She brings life back into his dull centuries of life, he is searching for his mate and can’t understand his attraction to Amanda when he can’t sense her as a mate.

Read how these two connect on so many levels – Just pick up this book and experience the same emotions I did.

3.5 stars!

This is the first book that I have read by this author. I was a bit concerned when I noticed that it was part of a series and I hadn't read the first few instalments, but it didn't prove to be a concern when I read the book.

All in all I enjoyed it quite a bit. It is a familiar trope with werewolf shifters finding their mates, the big difference being that our heroine is a big gal. Yep, the hot blokes like us big ladies too. oh hells yah. :-D

It was your typical tough rich boy rescues and falls for a down on her luck girl scenario, but if you like that sort of thing (and I do admit I am a bit of an old romantic with a penchant for it)then this will not disappoint.

Amanda is very vulnerable as a heroine, who is very strong in other ways. Her self esteem is rock bottom and there were times when I wanted to shake some sense into her, but she has been through one hell of a time with her no good 'boyfriend' and I loved seeing him get his comeuppance. He is a total ass. Ryker is just hawt. I loved him. He stands by his woman and is totally swoonworthy. Whoosh.

What I would have liked to have seen more of is the change in Amanda as she gets accustomed to her new life. It would have been good to see her wake up from her transition and learn about her situation and the world, rather then go straight to the epilogue and a few months later.

I have read many books from some excellent independent authors. I have also read tons that have clearly been rushed and published straight to amazon before it has been given so much as second glance. It really drives me up the wall when I see that happen. That is definitely not the case here and I have to say I was impressed with the writing. Rose Wynters clearly has natural writing ability and a natural flow to her storytelling. She doesn't shy away from writing action scenes either which is good. I suspect she will go from strength to strength.

I shall definitely take a look at her other work.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from Lop (or Lovers of Paranormal)

This is a PNR with a story, with a sad story (but it all ends well luckily).
I have to say that I expected more ''werewolf'' in this Paranormal Romance. Basically if you cut out the fight and some words, the story could pass as a real story, with hot scenes.

Since this was the first book I read in the series, I wonder if it's also so in the other books. I'm going to read the other parts, and mention this in the review. I have a lot of questions that maybe can be answered when I read the first three books.

It's too bad that it ended with Ryker waiting till Amanda wakes up. When you turn the page there was the epilogue. I missed the part when Amanda founds out that she's a werewolf. How does she deal with it? , ... I felt like the story wasn't finished.

I would recommend this to people who love books that like a sad/real story with a mix of PNR.
It wasn't what I expected when I read the synopsis, and maybe it's a good idea to mention the fact that's it about cancer. There were times that I just wanted to stop reading it, it made me so sad.

For now I give it 2 stars, maybe when I finish the other books it will change.

My Wolf Fighter is the fourth book in the Wolf Town Guardians series. When I started reading it I didn’t pay attention that it is the fourth book and was a tad bid lost for not reading the previous books (yeah I know I know I always read the previous books, hangs head in shame). Even with that I was able to follow along and read with very few questions of who is this and what happened with them? I love shifter books so I went in with high hopes that I would love this book as well. Well, I didn’t love it but I did like it. What was my issue? I think it may have been because I hadn’t read the previous books that I just couldn’t connect with the storyline as much I had hoped that I would. Will that disconnect keep me from going back and reading the previous three books? No it will not, in fact I have the first book waiting for me to read when I have the opportunity. I am not writing this series off by any means, I plan to re read this book after reading the first three and if my review and rating changes because of it I will update both accordingly.

Wolf Town Guardian #4 - Ryker's Story

Ok, this is the best WTG installment I've ever read. Since the incident where he was stuck in Orlando's Pinto and having a panic attack, Ryder decided to move out from Wolf Town to nearby Nashoba. Not much of a people person, one day he decided to stopped by a local bar. He saw the blue-eyed girl behind the bar and immediate he realized that she is his mate but her scent smells otherwise.

Amanda was unsecure, sick girl who happened to have incurable cancer. Ditched and kicked out by her boyfriend for a slimmer, younger blonde, she drive to a nearby lake campsite, crying her heart out. Ryder came and rescued her, taking her under his roof.

I cried reading one scene where Ryder asked Marrok to give his last say to Amanda. It was a very touching scene.

Hoping there will be a next book. ;)

p/s: the Sheik character is very intriguing. I would like to know more about him.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the “Lovers of Paranormal” Group on Goodreads.com.

This has been my favorite book in the series, I could not put it down. There was such a sad atmosphere surrounding the story of Amanda, my heart went out to her. Ryker is such a good man and helps her during her time of need and there is such a wonderful connection between them but he knows for sure she is not his mate. Amanda was very fortunate to have Ryker enter her life. There is also some more pack trouble that needs attention. I loved this book.

This is the first time reading this author for me but I do so love to read paranormal. I also like to read when the male featured is also a fighter as this one suggests so it is one of the reasons it drew me to it. Right away this author gets you riveted to the novel by what the main female character Amanda has just received some disturbing news. That combined with the track her life with her "boyfriend" of a few years is going she is in for some rocky times. I do say too that this author also gets you fired up about what you would like to do to her "boyfriend" by the treatment she receives from him. She also works at a bar and one night in will walk a man that will change her life as she knows it. Ryker is not just any man either, he is the alpha's right hand being chosen to be his second in a upcoming challenge largely due to the fact he is unmated thus far. He is also a guardian of Wolf Town but no longer lives there but away. Good thing for Amanda because he is also drawn to her and when she needs him the most he will be there to rescue her. Even though he feels she is not his intended as far as he can tell he has the strong attraction unlike any other he has had. She is also going to find that there is more to her than she ever believed thanks to how well Ryker will treat her plus the surprising support she receives from the bar owner. She will be loved like she has never been loved and cared for something she will desperately need. She throws caution to the wind and experiences love and life as it should be in the arms of a loving man. The heat will be enough to scorch any reader. Events will escalate with her and also the things the boyfriend who is now ex will try and pull. on a closer look also what he thought will be proven wrong and it will come to a draw can he save his mate. HE also needs to help him and his alpha survive the fight of their life. With all this excitement going on it was one that was well worth the reading time. I'm on the fence as to my rating. Some parts were a 5 and others had me wanting to walk away because of the sadness overwhelming me. Sometimes I don't like to much angst in a book. Considering an author's job is to illicit feelings thoughts in it's readers she did that. Some would say this is just a paranormal shifters story but it still had issues that everyday people deal with which are serious and heartbreaking.

Ryker:
Our hero is a Guardian for Wold Town. He protects his people. He's sick of the younger wolves pulling jokes on him and decided to move to the next town. One night he walks into the bar Amanda works and has an instant attraction. She's human and not his mate but he wants her.

Amanda:
Now here is where most of my review will be in spoiler quotations. Amanda works in a bar and has a boyfriend of 6yrs who is very mentally abusive. No friends or family. She's a size twenty and feels like her life will never get any better . Just as Amanda gets the worse news of her life her boyfriends throws her out on the street after work late at night with no where to go and another woman moved into her place.

There is a HEA but you don't get to see very much of it. That's why the 3 rating. If I have to go through all the sadness for Amanda, yelling swears at her ex in my head, telling Ryker to smarten up and realize who she is past that smell of kemo before it's to late and mumble my way through the book then I want to see a couple chapters of happy. So my rating is a range of 1,2,3,4,5

First of all I read this as a stand-alone having not read any of the previous books in the seres. It worked well as a stand-alone and while there were a few small comments I couldn't put in context due to references from the previous books with the stories focus on the two main characters it was good as such.

Ryker just wants to be left alone, while a part of the pack he prefers his solitude over the antics of his pack mates. While many of them are finding their mates at over 500 years old he has all but given up on the possibility.

Amanda is in a situation she never imagined. She stays with her boyfriend not out of love, but necessity because leaving him would mean having no other place to go. She knows he's cheating on her but what other option does she have? And then she gets news that's even worse. Cancer and there's no one to help her.

The two meet and while the attraction is mutual Ryker doesn't sense that Amanda is his mate. And the timing for her isn't great either, after all she's dying. But neither can resist the other and fate knows what it's doing...right?

Ryker is a bit cantankerious, but when it comes to those he cares about he'd do anything to help them. Even if he hasn't known her for long he knows he'd do whatever he could to help her.

Amanda has been beat down by life and circumstances, but when it comes to Ryker she trusts her instincts and lets him in.

They have their share of troubles, but I enjoyed their story and getting to know them!

My Wolf fighter ( Wolf Town Guardians #4 ) by Rose Wynters

I received this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review through the “Lovers of Paranormal” Group on Goodreads.com.

This book was a great read. This is the 4th book in the Wolf Town Guardian series, but it can easily be a stand-alone read. All the books in the series follow a similar formula. They all keep a good pace. The characters are well developed and very entertaining. There is romance, plenty of action, mystery, drama and intrigue. In all the books, a Wolf-shifter Guardian finds his mate. The mates are all women with troubled backgrounds, low self esteem and have issues with being fuller figured. But through it all the mated couple find happiness and live happily ever after. I just wish that the language used during the “love scenes” was a little more romantic and loving, instead it feels to me like the dialog is straight out of a porn movie. I loved the steamy imagery, but the dialog made me cringe every time in all 4 of the books. In this book the story is about Ryder and his mate Amanda. This book has it all and is a fantastic, enjoyable book to read. I enjoyed this series immensely and I will be looking out for more of this author’s work.

My Wolf Fighter is the 4th book in the Wolf Town Guardians series by Rose Winters. Amanda Wyatt is having a hard life, not only does she have a crappy, cheating boyfriend and a low paying job as a bartender she is also dying of cancer. But even with all of that going on she is determined to be strong and stick it out to the end, even when it gets worse and her worthless boyfriend kicks her out and leaves her homeless. But that's when Ryker walks into her life and changes everything. Ryker may be a grumpy ol wolf but when he sees Amanda at the bar she works at he is immediately drawn to her, so when he sees her sleeping in her car he is more than happy to give her a place to stay. Sparks fly with these two and the sex is yummy, but with her dying and him set to put his life on the line and fight for his Alpha, the future doesn't look good for these two. No matter what though they are determined to make the best out of the situation and hopefully overcome the odds so they can be together. I personally fell in love with Amanda and Ryker and LOVED their story. I have not read the other books in this series but if they are anywhere as good as this one I know it will be a pleasurable reading experience for me.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from LOP (Lovers of Paranormal)

After the whole scene with the car in the previous book, I was dying to read this installment.

My only issues were the language during the sex scenes, doesn't fit in with the love that is evident between the couple. Also, I think that during the dialogues, the characters are a bit mixed up about what mate they are naming.

Ryker is a loner, a serious kinda guy/wolf and he meets Amanda. She's got a boyfriend (Who is a complete ****) and she's diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Ryker takes her in, not believing she's his mate.

Then Alexander, the King, is challenged for his place on the throne and he asks Ryker to be his second.

I loved seeing how Ryker and Amanda's relationship developed without the mating bond, this was totally different to previous books. And what a happy ending. Awww.

My Wolf Fighter is the fourth book in the Wolf Town Guardians series. I haven’t read any of the earlier books in this series and you don’t need to because it’s a standalone, but I wish I had. Why? Because I really liked this book.
Books about shifters are not scarce, but there were a few differences in My Wolf Fighter and this series that made it a little bit different. I loved (or hated) the characters. Of course, I loved Ryker but Amanda touched my heart. I’ll let you work out the characters that I hated.
The story was predictable in places but there were plot twists that surprised me and kept me interested until the end. I loved the ending especially the surprise regarding Jean’s new man. I really did not see that coming.
I’m an Aussie, so there was one thing that happened that I didn’t like. I’ll let you work out that one as well.
I gave My Wolf Fighter 4 stars.

My Wolf Fighter was definitely different from the rest of the Wolf Town Guardian books, in a very good way. I felt the change of pace with this one helped build more interest within the story. I enjoyed Ryker and Amanda as the main characters, they had more struggles than the other couples, but were more secure with themselves. Ryker is more of a loner in the wolf world, he doesn't have the patience for the younger guardians antics. He tries to hide himself away from them unless absolutely necessary. Amanda is a cancer riddled young woman, she has no home, no family and no money. Ryker enters her life and finally brings this woman some happiness. The Australian challenge definitely raised the serious level in this book by a notch as well. I'd recommend to PNR lovers, 18+.

This book literally had me crying and laughing. It was a really great read about your average woman, but her circumstances are anything but average. Diagnosed with cancer before she's even thirty, she gets this amazing last chance with a werewolf. And I loved the secondary characters, there are some real laugh out loud moments in this book.
