This is the most in depth scale book I have ever used. The left hand scale fingerings are the ones I use in my guitar playing for classical, jazz and other styles. The book is primarily based on position playing and the squeeze shift is an excellent technical asset for smooth scale playing. The longitudinal scales at the end are similar to the Diatonic Major And Minor Scales Book which have remained popular to this day. In Scale Pattern Studies For Guitar, Supplement 3: Classic Guitar Technique book your sightreading, left hand fingering, fingerboard knowledge and right hand alternation will improve substantially. This book is also applicable to jazz guitarists who can play the scales and scale exercises with a pick. However, this book is best for seriously dedicated students. As a teacher I used this book with college students and they all struggled with it. A teacher must be discerning in terms of which students work out of this book because it will overwhelming to most.

A comprehensive scale book for classical guitarists

One of the best approaches to fluid and logical left-hand fingerings for the guitar. Free finger shifts, glide shifts, and squeeze shifts are used with a thorough approach to complete fingerboard reading in all major and minor keys.
