I received this book as giveaways. I thank Shubhangi for sending me the book.

When I received it, I thought I would just browse through the book and read it later. But when I started browsing, I started with first poem and then got hooked to it, I couldn’t keep the book down till I finished it.

Shubhangi’s poems are sensitive and emotional and touches one’s heart. She vividly captures the emotions/ plights of the people around us, whom we see every day but choose to ignore – be it about ladies working on a construction site, be it about the people waiting at home for loved one to come back in the evening, be it about female foeticide, be it about children finding security and solace in their parents arms …... Shubhangi’s each and every poem is a story in itself.

I am very impressed by her themes and style of writing.

Shubhangi has all the ingredients to be become a very successful and famous poet.

To Stir Up an Ornate Nest is a must read.

I wish Shubhangi all the best.

I am not a big fan of poems but this book is actually good. The poems are well written and though i think they should b little bit longer, but they were easy to read and with a great message. This book deals with the society norms and what actually our society is which most of us, in spite of being aware ignore them. My favourite poem was The end of the beginning. And this poem book should be ready by everyone.

"the hate I wore on my shoulders is worn out and weathered, replaced by the damp decaying stench of indifference"
Tantalises one with missed joys of life, to take back to the reality of saddening, retrospective emotions that linger on. Reader journeys the pain of victims of societal norms, through a very subtle provoking use of words. Must read!!
