An ode to medical men throughout the ages. A child picking this up at 13 would end up down a 40 book wormhole of medical history. And probably a PhD.

Both a Great Man history, treating us to characters from the antiquity to Lister, and a justification for endless experimentation ("Why think? Why not try the experiment?").

A great read.

Interessante e abbastanza completo per chi incomincia a informarsi sulla storia della medicina. Per chi ha già letture alle spalle ha solo alcuni capitoli utili.
Molto interessante la parte sugli storici della medicina
