I have read several books from the Arrangement series and The Chase is a great addition.
The main characters Carly and Adam have great chemistry even though they are very different. Adam is the hot, rock star, who has money and fame and can have just about any woman he want's, the thing is he's not too interested in women.
Carly has got herself a scholarship to college, but she fears her mother has been helping herself to money that Carly herself needs to live on. So the only route she out of this mess is to work for quick cash as a high priced call girl for a mysterious Miss Black. Where she meets by accident, Adam Kincaid, and Adam's interest is peaked for once by a woman.
After an unpleasant "date" with a client! Adam rescues Carly then decides to kidnap
her and learn her secrets.
The story then becomes an amazing character study as they get closer together, and Carly tries to understand Adam, what he really want's from her and what she's willing to give. And Adam learning to understand the new feelings that he is having and also protect Carly from doing something that she will for ever regret if she follows the path she has chosen.
A wonderful and very interesting book, I'm glad I've had the chance to read it.

WOW!!! This book was AWESOME! Lauren has done it again! Her characters are so believable. I literally could not put this book down until I finished it. A rock star and a college student, plenty of twists & turns in the plot, and the ending... well, just read it and you will see why I loved this book.

Received an ARC for an honest review. Great book classic story of with a hot bad boy Rockstar meets down on her luck first timer call girl. Attraction, chemistry, and oh can he play for the other team, or does he swing. Well you won't know unless you read it buts I worth it in my opinion!!!!!!!!

I haven't read HM Wards' The Arrangement series and had NO trouble jumping into The Arrangement: The Chase. Lauren Hawkeye/Jameson had plausible intros for the characters from The Arrangement series so it was pretty seamless for me. If I went back to read the series, at least I would know who the characters are!
For me, The Chase had a surprising twist. Seems Lauren does that to me all the time! Carly and Adam both have deep, heavy issues to deal with (separately) and together? It is a wild ride! For me, the characters were deep and flawed, yet together they fill a void in each other that is over the top. I don't want to give any spoilers away but as always, this book is hot...and deeply touching. I think my favorite lines goes something like: [Carly thinks] "Men are so dense." "The shock in his voice tells me that he really, honestly had no idea..." Yup, Lauren gets that sometimes we humans are clueless!
I really liked this story and am intrigued how it fits into the series. Most importantly, I will continue to search out Lauren Hawkeye/Jameson's books as she always manages to deliver a powerful story. I was given a copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review.

Carly Daniels knows what it is like to struggle. She has had to grow up fast and at times to act like the mother instead of the daughter, when it comes to taking care of both herself and her gambling addict of a mother.
When Carly goes to the bank to see if her college money has been deposited, she is shocked to learn that while it was deposited it was also withdrawn by her mother.
Desperate to be able to feed herself and determined to have a future as well as help her mother battle her addiction, she reluctantly decides to work for a fierce Miss Black as an escort.
Her first client turns into a monster of nightmares.
Forget the knight in shining armor or Prince Charming. Rocker, Adam Kincaid, comes to Carly's rescue just in time and whisks her away.
However, everyone knows the bad boy of rock bats for the other team.
Is he just trying to keep her safe?
OR
Is Carly a game changer?
I really enjoyed this novella! It was fast paced and there was never a dull moment.

Oh my! Carly is a woman who has to make hard choices to survive. It has been part of her life since she was young. Her mother's choices, again are putting her in the position of being a call girl. At least now, she can earn something for the use of her body right?
As she is heading into her first night of employment, she is face to face with one of the hottest rockers on the scene. This man is hot, but way above Carly's station so why should she even try to impress him. Furthermore, he is absolutely not interested in women.
Well, as Lauren Hawkeye often does, she takes the reader on the path of the unexpected. I can honestly say there was not a single point in this book that was predictable. I adored the banter between Adam and Carly. I love that they both have their own insecurities and demons. What an amazing story, I literally swallowed whole. I don't know how she does it, but Lauren has this fabulous ability to write the hottest sex scenes even when I have no idea how the scene will work out given all the back story. 5 very hot fangs for this one!

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. Sexy and sizzling hot - my only problem is Adam's and Clary's insta-love with each other. I find it to be very unrealistic. I wish there were more room in the book for their feelings to actually develop realistically. Yes, I am aware that this is a short book but based on some of the decisions the characters made, I have a hard time to believe they would do them solely because of lust alone. And if people were to argue with me that they're in love I would say no fucking way.
For example, I have a hard time to believe the rock star, Adam would do something so stupid as to kidnap Carly in order to save her after almost rape. Granted she was in trouble and he wanted to keep her safe but that's so unrealistic? Wouldn't that make it in the tabloid or something. It's just over the top imo.
Overall this is a good read. 3 Stars!

It's pretty safe to say that Lauren Hawkeye is on a roll, and a good one at that. Attraction, chemistry, and humor throughout - The Arrangement: The Chase has it all and is gaining a new spot as a Lauren Hawkeye favorite.
Carly and Adam are quite the pair - Adam, the hot rocker, and Carly, the awkward call girl forced into the situation.
While I did really enjoy this one, there were a few moments where I wish things had been clarified a bit more. I enjoyed some of the more humorous moments that Lauren Hawkeye adds in - particularly everything that goes down with Amy.
After reading this one, I have to say I'm more than a bit intrigued to read HM Ward's The Arrangement series and see how this one falls in with the other books. I loved it, and you likely will too (you'll only know if you read)

They will have to fight for what they want and to open themselves to each other. She made him feel things he had never felt before. Her intense attraction to him puzzles Carly. I haven't read the Arrangement series yet, however had no trouble getting right into this book. I've read a number of books by Lauren Hawkeye and enjoyed every one. This was no different! The character development was great and the reader can feel so much empathy for both Adam and Carly. Both feel flawed and find a way to compliment each other while discovering each other. The story is sweet, romantic and the sexuality builds delightfully frustratingly to the end. Another superb read!! This honest opinion was given in exchange for an ARC.

i have read HM Wards books in this series and found myself loving them so I had in trouble jumping into to Laurens story. I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I loved this book it was fast paced and a good storyline. carly and adam are hot together and would never know that he didnt swing that way at first..lol A love all of Laurens books and cant wait for the next one

Excellent read Lauren!!!I enjoyed it as much as reading HM Ward's Arrangement series!! This is hands down the best Kindle Worlds Arrangement book written. I'm really looking forward to reading your other books!

Nothing like a rock star to get your blood pumping! I am loving the extended stories from H.M. Wards The Arrangement series. They add so many new and fun story lines.And who doesn't love a good love story. Fun and exciting read.
