This is the gripping story of rescuing the little boy in order to release the soul of the man. Oftentimes, the anger of a man Is not anger at all...but the manifestations stemming from a cycle of trauma!
This was an emotional 'boys to men' story. It centered around three guys who grew up together, wrote and performed rap music while struggling with life. They had a Christian upbringing in common. Despite their involvement in church, they fought to find themselves and understand the messages they received from God. This is a great read for young men. They're often expected to 'be men' without any acknowledgement of their desires, fears, aspirations or even being heard. The messages throughout were noteworthy.
This was a great read about unlocking the soul of a man. In this story we follow three young men from their teen years to adult hood. They are faced with many challenges that a lot of men go through. But once they are able to Let go and let God then the transformation can happen. As women we can never understand the struggles men have. The author did a great job with this book.
This was an amazing emotional story. But very inspirational and up lifting. I am truly moved anytime we let go and let God, move in our lives as only He can. Parents sometimes don't realize what they are doing to their children and the child suffers because of it. Once again Denise Cook-Godfrey you have done it again..
Every man out there needs to read this book it will definitely help them get over their pride and egos. Hopefully it will teach them to learn how to forgive and move on. A definite must read for all men
Excellent story of growth, healing, redemption, and forgiveness ! Sometimes we forget men go through and need a brotherhood just we need our sisterhood!
This was my first novel by this author and I enjoyed it. It’s a story about boys becoming men who are fed up with so many things. A story of secrets and traumas that causes a rippled effect. I do recommend reading this book.
I enjoyed another great story by this author. A riveting tale of friendships, secrets, lies and the importance of forgiveness. Forgiving both yourself and others.
