Think It’s A Game was a fast-paced story with nonstop jaw dropping moments. I was hooked from the beginning, so much so, that I read the book twice! I’m a sucker for this type of storylines- the “anything for the family” stories.
When Ryleigh’s father found himself drowning in gambling debt, she decided she would step in to save his life. However, she ended up marrying a true conniving, narcissistic, good for nothing—all the things, man. Boston preyed on the fact that he knew Ryleigh would do anything for her father. Kamden was fresh out of prison, after completing a five-year bid. He literally hit the ground running, in regard to taking care of himself and his business but there’s one problem in the way. The tension between Kamden and his father was astonishing. It seemed to be a one-sided beef and reeked of jealousy from Boston, and it continued to spiral throughout the book. When Kam first encountered Ryleigh, they did not have a good first impression. However, I could sense the chemistry and knew it was a matter of time before things changed for them. It didn’t take long for Kam to go into protective mode and I appreciated his assertiveness. My favorite thing about this book was the relationship between Ry and Brooke; they had a lot in common and their bond was cute. When Ry was referred to as “sister-mama” I almost threw my phone – like, why was that the perfect title.
Overall, the book had good drama, plot twists, secrets, and many laugh out loud moments. Kam was a man on a mission and when he came knocking the hotel door down, I was like oh, he’s in love, love! I am curious to see how things progress for Kam and Ry because I know for a fact, Boston is not going to let them have eternal bliss. However, the joke is on Boston and I cannot wait for his downfall. I am also interested in Brooke and Zeke’s story, it has the makings of something good! Good job on this one!
